MAC Tres Cheek discussion

MAC GUY, thanks for the tip. I still don't understand why they gave me NC 20 studio fix powder I definitely have more pink undertones. Perhaps, I'm a mix of NC & NW? Now, I wear my medium plus MSF & love the texture & light coverage it gives me.

Maybe you have redness rather than pink undertones? Those two are sometimes confused.

Sometimes, you can also be neutral and either one, NC or NW, might be a good match depending on the product.

I'm surprised that you can wear an MSF in medium plus, as this corresponds more to the NC/NW25-30 range. However, if you apply it lightly, it might still work for you, especially as the coverage is sort of light.

Finding the right foundation shade takes some time. If you can, definitely get samples before committing to buy (ideally, then buy at the same location where you received your samples ===> this helps to build a good relationship).

Good luck :)

Today I wore Immortal Flower with NARS Torrid and it was so pretty!! Also I did Peony Petal with NARS Mata Hari! Now I need to experiment Full of Joy with Peony Petal.

I'm NC/NW17.5, and I love Full of Joy. It's such a beautiful blush, isn't it?

I'm surprised that the blushes are still in stock. I'm trying to fight the urge to buy backups! LOL

It's weird that the US had so many restocks. Was Canada ever restocked for this collection? I hope you still receive more stock.

I still really want Immortal Flower and Peony Petal, but with all the stuff I want between May and July, I don't think I could get them. D=

There has been no restock that I know of. I have been stalking immortal flower for a while now. It was the first item to sell out. Lovecloud is really pretty. Let's keep praying for a restock!

yeah, there were probably fewer people backing up...or at least least they were backing up in fewer numbers...
whereas i would almost venture to backup a lipstick or gloss (still considering doing this for heroine), i don't think i would backup any blushes....i've never made dents in my blushes, let alone hit pan, even on the ones i love dearly! and if we're talking powder blushes, they don't have the same kind of expiry date either...

On the same boat here~ When you all say you're backing up blushes, I'm just like @_@?! I've had all my blushes a long time and have yet to hit pan-- no matter how much I use them! Lipsticks and lip glasses, though... that's a completely different story!

What is a good blush brush from mac that is fool proof? I struggle with angled brush and have trouble with product placement sometimes ("shape" of the blush looking different between the left & right cheeks if you know what I mean).

I have 187 and like that it's easier to use than the angle brush but sometimes I feel it doesn't pick up enough product and have to build on it but the bouncing motion against the blush creates lots of loose powder (i.e pink cult). TIA for any help!

i use the white angled blush brush from mac (sorry forget name), but i find its so dense it deposits too much product..... you can always blend it out with another brush but I would rather do it right in the first place.......I'm going to get the 116 next as the MA at my counter used that and I thought it was fab!! for some reason I find the black haired brushes to be less dense...

I also use the 116 and i've tried it with all except Pink Tea and Lovecloud and so far it's been working great for everyone of these blushes. I can even apply Modern Mandarin with the 116. It picks up just the right amount if i dab it and don't swirl it in the blush.
