I really like that pink in the Aurora. I didn't even realize it had pink in it. If I had known, I would have picked one with more pink. I will try the olive as liner. Thanks.
You're Welcome girl! My Aurora's swirl isnt the best. It gets tricky seeing other people's looks and hearing how they are using these MES's since they can vary so much from each other. So I was trying to be as specific as possible! HeeHee Definitely try to grab that olive, it made a difference for me. I wish I had more pink in mine too! It really is quite pretty!

It has to get over 10k to beat Hello Kitty lol. I missed that collection, it must've been pretty cool to have that many posts.

Who bought a 184 Fan brush recently?  My Pro store was out of stock.  The SA said everyone was asking for them with this launch.  I blame Specktra.  LOL! I went to buy the 184 but no dice.  So I had to get: -Cusp of Dawn -Celestial Kiss -Astral -Venus -Strictly Plutonic Oh and the display had the best swirls ever.  Water was all green colors.  I fell hard for the light green color.  I liked the lime color too but Light green the best.  This store didn't have the best of both green colors so I passed.  I ended up picking up Water at the store down the street.  But now that I look at it, I'm not sure if I got the lime green or just leftover yellow on top of regular green.  Hmm I may have to get another. Oh and I wore Earthly all over with Gilt by Association in the crease.  Immortal Flower Blush with Center of the Universe and Meteoric CSG. BTW - Off topic - but I went to the Sephora in the Meatpacking District (NYC).  I mistakenly thought they carried a perfume there but wow is this store fantastic!  They have lighted mirrors at all the applicator stations that have these different settings/buttons you can push like daylight, fluorescent, studio, candelight, moonlight (don't know why they have this one) but the set up of all the products is really cool too.  I'm really sure how to described the displays but if anyone else has been here are there any other Sephoras like this?  I was really surprised to find Armani Beauty there too. I know just what you mean.  Love colors like that. Yes, Spanky, I was wondering what you got too.  Please post. Yes, get it.  It looks like it would be really nice on you.  I just wore it around the house once and I really liked it.  I'm considering a backup too but I feel funny doing that not having fully tried all my products first.
Thanks for the advice! And I must say my husband is going to have a cow if I keep buying more stuff but that's it earthshine and nothing else! I wanna get ready for the by request collection and the Marilyn collections I'm ready for all those red lippies!

Many many pages back I showed my original, online-ordered, shattered, tons of purple UA... Well, the new one they sent me to replace it hardly has any purple! Just the tiniest swirl where the MES meets the edge of the pot. SO disappointed. Might have to go buy one in store, even though I'm not completely sure I need it. There's still enough of the purple attached to the broken pot from the 1st one I can dip into. So maybe that will have to be good enough.
For your broken Universal Appeal, can you tell if the swirl design stays constant all the way through by looking at the remaining broken part?

I think this will determine whether I buy a BU of Starwonder. I don't want to get halfway through the product, and there's very little swirl left.

That sounds really pretty!

I hope my Stratus will get here today, can't wait to try it.
It's weird, I don't have a favourite product from this collection, so far I like everything I got equally.

Spanky, I want to know what you ended up getting too, please share!

And I'm totally ignoring all the love Venus is getting, I don't want to feel like I mised out on someting really good, because I skipped all the lip products.

One of my Nordies packages came early so I played with SW and RoS today. I am SO glad I didn't skip RoS. I can't get over how gorgeous the sheen is.

I don't even want to wash off the swatch on my arm.

I think this is the only other mb I have besides the peachy one from Quite Cute but I think I'm going to end up an mb fiend. And I can't tell very well in my lighting but I think SW on me looks the same shade as my cheeks when I'm flushed so I'm pleased with that. Now I have to try out the gold swirl on my eyes.

Off topic but heyyy you're in the Portland area, too! I wish we had more MAC stores here, but there are plenty of counters!
I noticed you were from Oregon a while back too, I love your FOTDs! Luckily Portland's not too big, so it's only like a 15-20 minute drive to the freestanding store for me, but yes the state could definitely use a few more stores. They could bring that Woodburn CCO a little bit closer too ;) Although my wallet probably wouldn't be able to take it.

So, I thought I was done with this collection, but wrong. My mom bought Solar Ray today and I ended up trying it on, gorgeousss. I will definitely be trying to pick this up tomorrow.

VERY good question! From what I can see, for the most part, yes. There was a lot of purple in the outer ring and what remains on my pot base is consistent with what it looked like on top. However, there was some more brown on the edge but you could see that it was more of a surface swirl and not as thick. So that didn't carry through, but I wouldn't have thought it would since it looked so thin in the first place.

Here's the before and after pics to compare. HTH

I would LOVE a 131 - do you think there's still a chance of finding one now?
I would frequently check CCO's and Specktra's sales thread (where people might sell their BNIP BU's). Yes, there is still a chance that you find one.

Hey guys, so after grabbing all my goodies for this collection featured on my blog post here, I wore today:

Universal Appeal Eyeshadow all over the lid with Espresso in the crease

Stratus Blush and Earthshine Skinfinish as my highlight.

Rebel lipstick with Narcissus Cremesheen lipgloss (Daphne Guinness collection for MAC)

For reference I wear NC42 foundation!

I like Universal Appeal as it leans more brown than purple but reflects a nice purple in the light, Stratus blush is a really beautiful colour however I found it really accentuates pores. Earthshine skinfinish is seriously beautiful. Such a unique highlighter! I applied my makeup around 3pm and took these photos at 10.30pm so got some decent weartime of 7 hours from the Stratus blush and Earthshine skinfinish. Universal Appeal is still going without any creasing!

Pretty!

I see what you mean about UA reflecting purple. That kind of thing is what makes MES special I think. When MAC does them well, they have such depth.

So that's what the bottom of the pan looks like?! When I went to MAC this past Friday, the tester of Earthly MES was full. When I saw it again on Sunday, it was mostly that square pattern. I didn't realize it was the bottom of the pan. That means it only took two days for that tester to reach pan. It's probably gone by now with a new one on display.

VERY good question! From what I can see, for the most part, yes. There was a lot of purple in the outer ring and what remains on my pot base is consistent with what it looked like on top.
