I am sooo disappointed with CYY . It is waaay to matte for me. It make my lips look chalky, and it settles into every line on my lips. The one positive is the stain that it leaves on my lips once I wipe it off. It actually leaves a pretty dark reddish pink color. I pop some lipgloss right on top of that and go

How about a teeny tiny dab of clear lipgloss on top to take away some of that matteness? The best it would do is at least give you a satin finish.

worrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd!!! i just checked swatches of barry m #52 shocking pink. not only is it less $, but it's *brighter* and *more neon* than original cyy. off to asos...
i might buy the three lippies if the restock actually occurs. i still have a rocker from back in the day, and would like a fresh one-but i'm not keen on paying multiple shipping fees so i'll give a week or so.

Wow, that's crazy. I should be getting home to my black box in a few hours, and I hope something similar doesn't happen. I think they are going to restock, they're just trying to drive up the hype more. Maybe they'll get some more sales for the remaining By Request items if they pretend to be sold out.

So I just got home to find a lovely little black box sitting on my porch that I thought would have my candy yum yum in it.
I rush inside to open it up -- and it's empty!! Just the receipt and the black tissue paper. No lipstick!!! I almost flew into a rage
thinking that if I called them the best they could do was just offer me a refund considering it's 'sold out'.. When i called up Mac customer
service to alert them to their little error, the girl profusely apologized and then told me she would be sending me another one. I asked her
how is that possible considering it's completely sold out on the website and they said they would not be restocking. She said they still have
plenty more, even though they won't be restocking. I really don't get it. I'm glad they are able to send me one, but why are they not restocking
if they have "plenty more?"

This is ridiculous!

But see that's the thing here, another member didn't get her CYY and they refunded her the money, yet this one will get one. What sense does that make?!

Yeah, that ticks me off. The scalpers should get empty boxes and no-pays on their listings! It sucks that they have the lipsticks in bulk, while people here got shafted. MAC should treat everyone the same way, especially since it's their fault the orders were messed up for some.

You mean like with the Viva Glam lipsticks? Making it available for only a year? That's a great idea. It keeps its LE cult status, and would still be available long enough for people to buy it. The only thing I could see is the frenzy that will follow when the season comes to an end. But everyone would've had a year to get it at that point, so there should be no complaints.

CYY is slighty darker, but the formula is better. it's not nearly as drying. the color is still amazing.

I think they are going to restock. I think their representatives are forced to say they will not restock unless otherwise instructed, to keep up the hype. I've now seen several instances where they are asked if they will restock and they give a blatant, straight out no, only to restock a few days later.

I guess it's better to say you're NOT going to restock as opposed to saying you're going to restock and for whatever reason end up not being able to restock. People would prefer being pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed after waiting for something to happen that didn't happen.

It was the same with Iris Apfel. There were several small restock, right?

What would be a good liner for CYY and Moxie?

I haven't tried both with a lip liner, but I have Process Magenta Chromagraphic pencil and it looks like it would suit both colors. A drugstore lip liner I can think of would be Enchantment from Rimmel.

Yes! P+P is wonderful! I use it when I need a lipliner to go with the lipstick. It makes application much smoother and the color stays put for a longer period of time. I'm almost done with my first tube of P+P. Time for me to restock! Yeah I think there will be another restock. I'm sure customer service reps aren't always "in-the-know" with a company as large as MAC, the trickling of information isn't broadcast at all times, so I'm sure by default reps just say "no restock, that's it".
