Ugh, I'm getting impatient. I can only order one lippie when it first launches but it'll guarantee I get one but it's not up. Having a rough day too and it would help bring some light to it. Hurry MAC.
I graduated from an art school but not with the right degree lol. I don't think they'll give a pro card to someone with a BS in Advertising. Yes, a BS in Advertising. When I found out I was getting a BS and not a BA I laughed.Lol makes me jealous too! also makes me want to enroll in some beauty academy & take a course just to be able to qualify for a damn PRO card
Yep. I also have a BS in graphic design. A very expensive ($70k) bs degree. Woo. Hoo.I graduated from an art school but not with the right degree lol. I hate that too! In Spain the Pro discount only doesn't apply to collections with special packaging. I hope Marilyn does, but I wouldn't stick my neck out for that.Nope, somehow NL and B do not participate in pro discount for special packaging...What's even weirder to me: the pro discount also applies in Freestanding stores. When I go to MAC Liège I never get a discount on LE, special packaging or not.... I often wonder where those decisions are made...
I never appreciated my sleep until I had kidsUgh, today got off to a bad start and I was hoping at least the collection would be up so I could order my DA. My 18 month old who stayed up late decided to cry at 4 something for awhile and then wake up shortly after 6 which is early for her. I don't think it's teething unless 2 year molars start this early. I know off topic sorry but needed to vent, I'm sure the other moms will understand lol.
Thanks for this explanation. I've never used a Beauty Powder before and thought it would work the same as a MSF. Now I have a better understanding of how Beauty Powders work.I certainly cannot speak for BP on women of color (some seem like they might be a bit chalky), but i know that on my pale face, BPs often barely show - but that seems to me to be part of the point. From what i can tell, the BPs are quite unlike a blush or MSF. Rather, they are intended to add a certain somewhat subtle finish.
The one that i bought, Light Sunshine from the Fashion Flower collection, is pale muted pink with a little shimmer (other BPs are more matte). I dust it on my brow line, cheeks and jaw line after all the rest of my makeup is done. I can hardly see it myself, but i know that in the right light the sparkles show, adding a slight glow. And when i went into my local MAC wearing it, the MUA could tell i had it on, even though i couldn't really see it.
I +1 your smiley. If I'd known what would happen with the economy and that my school was bs'ing with how easy paying back the loans would be I wouldn't have done it. It's sad but I'd rather give back my degree then have the loans over my head.<- for my school
Thanks for the swatches Anneri!I went to an event tonight at my local store and brought back some swatches for you all!
The Lippies on NC20 skin.
The e/s and blushes an BP.
Blushes from left to right: TPC, Legendary, BP.
The BP is indeed *that* pale. It's not matte, but with some sparkles.
The e/s were not as sparkly (glitterbomb-like) like the Pressed Pigments, but close. The only one I liked texture- and clourwise was the dark grey one.
And again the cheek products.
Thank you so much; we're similar colouring although it looks like I have warmer undertones than you do. I think you just took the BP off my list. I already have Albatross which looks very similar and I don't tend to wear that to the office; I prefer the yet more subtle Nico.I went to an event tonight at my local store and brought back some swatches for you all!

As your slightly darker than I am maybe as I haven't been matched in a good while. What's your HG highlighter or what u use regularly if you haven't been blessed finding your HG? I am curious as I haven't played with highlighting much yet. TIA.Thank you so much; we're similar colouring although it looks like I have warmer undertones than you do. What's new to my list is Showgirl. I hadn't expected that but I've liked the colour on everyone's swatches. Maybe I'll check that one out next week. The others are far too glittery for me. No surprise, I still like CIS and DA but I likely have near dupes for both.
