GREAT haul CC. My favs amongst the lippies are T & T and TD too. Just beautiful shades, period! The quad is lovely and I know you'll create someI got my All About Orange stuff yesterday! My favorites hands down are Tart & Trendy and Tangerine Dream. I don't need lip pencils with them. They seem to brighten up my face. I'm thinking it's because my complexion is more yellow toned. I'm glad I bought BUs.
Flamingo is only "nice" on me. I don't need a liner with it, but it doesn't do anything special for my lips. It's just nice. I'm disappointed! I bought a BU, but I don't need it. It will be going in my sale.
I love the color of Sushi Kiss. I do need a lip pencil to blend it better with my skin tone, but I don't mind because I really like the color. I played with various pencils, but I like using a brown pencil close to my skin tone best. For me that's MAC Cork/NYX Toast. I'm undecided about keeping my BU for it. I'm leaning towards keeping it because I love the color. But I'm not sure how often I will wear it since it's on the lighter side of my lipstick spectrum. I tend to wear bold colors more often.
Sweet & Sour maybe returned. It's Ashcake Ashly. I can make it work with a liner, but I don't think I want to put forth the effort. I think I may also feel the same way about Raspberry Swirl and Pure Decoration. I'm learning that I don't think I want to bother with milky colors.
EDIT: Oops! I forgot about the quad. I didn't even open it yet. I'll probably do a look with it when I do open it.
Keeping me cool!
I just read this
Happy Saturday everybody I love the weekends.i was thinking about joining this other makeup blog yesterday it just popped up on my phone but I thought naw I love specktra and everybody here is so helpful. I'm still a newbie here I joined in January I appreciated the advice of all the veteran here and oneday I hope to be a vet to just my thoughts I love love this site I should have joined a long time ago.
Lilinah, I wish I could help you. I looked at my 15-PRO Palette of grays and thought there's no way I could do anything but confuse you as much, if notI didn't really want the quad from this collection. In fact, i'm thinking of trying to compose a grey collection for myself. I have read people's lists of "must have" greys and saved the lists, but i can't tell if they're warm or cool - i suspect most lean cool. I'm not really happy with cool greys - i generally prefer warmer tones on my eyes, no matter what color lip i'm wearing. Then i looked over the eye shadows on the MAC site, but it's rather overwhelming, and i know the swatches are often very off.
Currently the closest i have to a medium warm grey is Groundcover, a matte from the Fashion Flower collection. So i would really appreciate suggestions for more medium and light warm greys. THX!
If you prefer warm greys and greys that pretend to be cool, but aren't, this quad is actually really great. Only one more frosted color, and that one isn't over the top and all of them are very pigmented. I'm wearing it right now as a matter of fact, with Sweet & Sour and HJ and I don't feel overly made up or artificial looking. The palest color is a really good brow highlight color to mix with grey when you really can't have bright or cool colors there, too. 'Wish I could take a decent picture of it for everyone.I didn't really want the quad from this collection. In fact, i'm thinking of trying to compose a grey collection for myself. Liba I also found that gray is a funny color depending on a skin tone. The same colors don't apply to everyone I say when I'm asked: go and try stuff on yourself first. It's not like your regular neutrals where most colors suit most folk -EmmaQuote: Originally Posted by lilinah

I'm really picky about grey shadow and only have 2 or 3 others than this quad - most are too cool or so warm they look more like taupe or brown on the darker skin around my eyes.
