*~*Right...I don't understand how anyone could have "cheated". The lipsticks were on the website. ANYONE with a keyboard and internet access could have purchased the lipsticks.*~*

That meeting probably looked something like this...I have to say that I was one of those who saw the link and waited. I just KNEW there was no way MAC was going to allow only the lipsticks on early and nothing else legitimately. Especially after they were cancelling some peoples riri woo orders because of them ordering over and over. I think people who are saying how much money MAC lost in this aren't considering the big picture.
I'm sure this mornings MAC meeting went something like this: "Tech guy who accidentally put the lipsticks up early, youre fired. Online sales team, lets inconvenience those few 3 lipstick buyers who thought they were cheating and make them start over. Lets make room for people who will buy it all so we can sell EVERYTHING out today, not just the lipsticks.Our plan is to make the cheats wait to see if their orders have gone through, the real buyers will get everything else 5 at a time. That equals more sales for us.They'll still get a few lipsticks if they're lucky after we cancel their orders. People will stay loyal to us no matter how stupid the waiting room idea is because we're MAC! Can't wait for fall!"
I really believe this is the sales mindset that went on today at their headquarters lmao
But still, I don't think ordering early is cheating. Orders shouldn't have been accepted if they didn't want people ordering before noon. This is not a surprise situation to them. This happens every month when they release a collection.

I did my post-12 order using PayPal...now I have to worry that it was not authorized or canceled? It just says "pending" in my PP acct and on the MAC site.

...Ugh, I've gone back about 10 pages and my heads already spinning. I may try and catch up some more later.
I will say this, and I can apologize if I'm wrong, but if its true that the page was accessible and it didn't require any shenanigans to purchase then I'm gonna say...its not fair...on MAC'S PART.
They've not really been a fair company for quite a while. They haven't honored the set release dates for other collections, yeah I get Riri is a big deal but I didn't see any attempts to be fair with AAO or the other collections where things released earlier and sold out in less than an hour. They created this system and its not like they said "We're so sorry, we're gonna work on this" It was just catch-us-if-you-can. So 99% of the time its cool if they release early and only the lucky get it, but this time its not fair? Hmm.
It seems more insulting to me to punish customers for the same thing you encouraged them for. One peek at e-bay tells me all I need to know about them being 'fair'. Not cool MAC.
I hope folks give them hell because that's some bull.

I debated on getting a BU of Heaux and RRB, but I'm still kinda pissed that my lippies are on backorder and won't be available for shipment until mid-July. That's a month from now! That is... if they don't cancel it! I guess no blog swatches for me.
Is it really "fair" to cancel orders placed before noon when all we did was stalk the website to make sure we don't miss out in case they release the collection early (because come on, MAC... you've done it before)! Why are we being treated like...
