its funny because when i went to the chanel counter she was all like... i think you will be a 40 and she starts to put it on my face and shes like mmm this looks a bit too light for you i think a 50 will work... and in my head i was like nah uh shontay was satisfied with the 40 so i aint trying to go darker lmao and i told her naah ill stick with the 40 lol but she used a skunk brush so idk how the hell she was able to see if it was too light with that first swipe lol woot i live in long island so that sucker better ship from there
She's clueless. Why would she use a skunk brush for that anyway? 50 is all wrong. I'm interested in seeing the person who can use 50 as an all over powder. That color is so strange to me.

Lmao thats what i was thinking because the powder is sheer already so im like you want to pick up less than that by using this brush?? I want the powder that will work on me all year round so we shall see. Did you end up playing with 30 more tonight?

Nope. I'll leave it for tomorrow. It's so late it actually is tomorrow, but you know what I mean.

Im not sure if this has been posted yet but here a girl wearing #50 as an all over powder. She seems to like it. The lighting isnt that great though. http://aallexxy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/chanel-les-beiges-healthy-glow-sheer.html?m=1 She also said she might need 40 for the winter and she is darker than me so i thnk i should have gotten shade 30 :-| oh well. When I go into bloomingdales maybe next week ill check it out again. I hate having my mind all jumbled up.

I think you will be fine! it is confusing though! I am easily wearing 70, in fact I could not even get a swatch to show up on my hand/arm for a pic here and I am an aqua compact beige rose 42! it is summer + I am a gold tanned so it will change in winter but I think b/c the powder is so sheer it is more about the undertones in the different colors....HTH

Yes that helps. It calmed my nerves down a bit. But since Ingenue told me 30 has a yellow/caramel undertone i wonder what does that make 40? ETA: Im sorry guys i just realized ive been talking too much in this thread. Time for me to take a break lmaooo

I just tried 30 and I love it. Honestly, there isn't a world of difference between this and 40. I can easily wear both. 30 might be a 100% match while 40 is a 98% match. Not a big deal at all. In fact, I'm thinking maybe I should exchange 40 for a color that's deeper and use as a contour/bronzer(?). It's a little too expensive to have 2 that are so close in color, right? However, that'll make the second exchange and I hate that . I'll have to think about it, but I am loving this stuff. Can anyone else see the shimmer on their skin? I've seen youtube reviews where people say they can't see it outside of the pan or a swatch, but it's very visible on my face. Maybe that's because my complexion is deeper.

Which foundation? Perfection Lumiere? I love that stuff. 30 probably will be better for you since you're lighter than me, but it's so funny how I can easily get away with both.

 Can I recommend the loose setting powder? I love that stuff, too. Despite what others have said, I see no difference in undertone between the two. I'm looking at both of them right now and I swatched them on my skin and 40 is just a touch deeper. It is not red. That's why I can wear both. 30 is just more yellow. The difference appears more in the pan than on the skin.

Shontay, you made my day. I ordered 30 for fall w/o actually knowing what it would be like, but you
have totally eased my concerns. It was a toss-up between 30 & 40 and I just totally guessed
between the two. I know I'll try it as soon as it arrives, hopefully mid-week. I'm so excited now!

I am going to call them & ask to make the smell into a perfume...& it better be exact to the powder. Maybe I could suggest they call it Ode de Elegante
girlhaha.gif
or does that mean elegant's odor
I love the scent too. It actually smells like a stronger version of of some Chanel's skincare scent.

Michelle - I hope you get the powder soon!

Curiosity got the better of me and I'm wearing #50 all over my face today; looks fine. Literally no issues whatsoever, and it doesn't even look gray. We'll see how it looks by the end of the day.

Test driving this and #60. Not sure if I'll keep #70 yet though. These powders have stolen my life (and money)

I'm still not sure what these powders do. LOL I'm intrigued though, and will probably pick one up to wear as a base.
Its an all-over sheer face powder. Kind of like Mac's Beauty Powders.

It beautifully enhances a flawless natural look of your own skin. Lovely
