You don't think it will be too bright? I'm still deciding....

I have missed you all!

My most recent Chanel purchases: Accent blush, Emotion blush, les Beiges powder, Radieuse ls, Envoutante (which I wear a lot of), Diapason, and Diva..oh and Hasard es... I did not buy the Charming. It has some great shades but did not give me chills. I bought a CD es palette instead. I have been buying more CD for lippies and blushes recently. But I am trying to shop stash as much as posible ass my bad habits were getting a bit much even for me.

hope you are all enjoying!

big hugs to all!

HG

thank you. it is nice to be back among friends.

I like Diva -- it is bright, but it's a perfect shade to pick up the complexion. It's bright but not like a CYY which too bright for me -- I love the way Chanel does mattes they are never drying.

Hey HG ~ nice to see you! Glad to hear you like La Diva. I've been wondering whether or not I could pull it off and as I remember we like a lot of similar lipstick shades.

Does anybody know exactly how (or if) Chanel changed the RA Velvet formula? I've read on several blogs/heard in several YouTube videos that they "tweaked" the formula to make them less drying but chanel.com says they didn't change anything. I'm curious because the originals are drying on me to the point where I can't wear them 2 days in a row.

I think Chanel changed the Allures and Velvets.

Before I could not comfortably wear the Velvets which is why I initially passed up on La Diva but something told me to go back and give it a try, well it wears fine and I haven't experienced the discomfort I use to get with the Velvets.

I got RG Allure #136 and it is a lot more creamy and sheerer than my other RG Allures, I compared it to my favorite Rouge Noir and the formulas are definitely different.

^ Realhouswife -- the Chanel eyelash curler is an excellent one. A bit easier to handle than a Shu, a different curve than the Cle or the Kevin A. It is more expensive too.. lol

I never had an issue with the RAVs before and from my understanding the formula has not changed. The RAs formula has changed slightly for better staying power as has the formula for the RCS which are now more pigmented.

I have found a really easy way to have my mattes stay on me comfortably. I usually use a silicone based product/primer for my undereye area before I apply concealer. I have these in EL formula, Lancome, and NARS.. I apply this to my lips a few minutes before I apply my lipstick. It makes them glide on better and they wear is exactly the same.

I think you will like Diva.. I like it full on, or as a wipe, which is more than a stain (I rub it in with my fingers)... I do that with Secrete and Seduisante.. I love wiped on pink!

Is it worth getting? I'm in the market for a new one.
If your eyes are more round shaped than almost shaped you will love the Chanel curler! I just happened to notice it's back on chanel.com so I'm going to order. I also really liked the Surratt e/l curler on Barneys. The Surratt is meant more for almond-shaped eyes, but it has a really nice teflon-like coating that enables me to curl my lashes again after applying mascara without the curler sticking to my lashes and ripping them out. (I know, I know... I'm not supposed to curl my lashes after mascara, but they're so straight and droopy and sometimes I just can't help it!.) The Surratt costs less at $25 but I think it's OOS and not expected to ship until January.

What was it about the duo that you didn't like? I'm curious, since it caught my eye when I was looking through some of the photos and I normally really like their shadow duos.
I have too many shadows similar to the colors in the duo. I am just trying to be more selective now and not purchase close dupes of what I already have.

I have tried out most of the products that I purchased from this collection. A few thoughts...

1) The quad
- Pigmentation is comparable to other Chanel quads (over primer). No problem with wear time either. Everything stayed relatively put throughout the day without a lot of fading.
-Color scheme comes across as pink based on my skintone, especially the lower left shade. When I used all 4 colors for a look, I had to neutralize some of the pinkness with a dior shadow. If I didn't tone down the pink a bit, then my eyes would have looked a bit worse for wear. Once I toned down the pink the look was very pretty. I also threw in a little Cockiness liner from MAC. I like the quad, but I don't love it. I will be keeping it though.

2) Blushes
- Love these! Pigmented like crazy. A little goes a long way on my skin which is uber pale at the moment. I have been favoring 69 over 67.

3) Lipsticks & Liner
-Melodieuse: where have you been all my life? LOL! Great spring/summer color. May actually be bu worthy.
-La Diva: Very pretty on. Not too bright for casual wear. Sort of Candy Yum Yum's more mature sister. I did have to tone this one down a bit for work though.
-Sonic Pink: Exact match for La Diva. Can't get one without the other.

4) Powder - great finishing product. enough said.

Thank you! I think I will try the Chanel one first and see how that one does for me.
