Primer helps, but with these you can still get the dragging if your lips are wet with saliva when you apply, primer or not. Just have to be sure they're nice and dry. Use a tissue to blot before you apply if necessary. My 100% favorite is Punk Couture - just so stunning and unusual. SK looks great on me, when not all reds do, but it's still red and there will be plenty of them. If you can find it, it's really nice, but I don't think it's worth a lot of agony to find if you already have plenty of red lipsticks you love. Plus there's this Diva dupe angle everyone's talking about - don't own Diva so I can't say anything about that from personal experience.
oh i see......dark lippies are a new territory for me. i completely agree punk couture is my absolute fave, instigator is nice but much darker than when i swatched it
your right it will be plenty of reds and thats the only reason im not going to crazy about it. i can live without it but it would be nice to have. in the thread im hearing diva is nearly the same but i have a feeling they arent. Only way for me to truly say is to try it. I'm not even sure they are the same formula..

Sorry for the arm-only, indoor swatches, folks, I had face surgery early this morning (I'm fine, a follow-up to an emergency surgery to set the permanent bone replacement) and am all puffy.  Here's the Punk Couture collection on my NC10-ish skin:  Here's the same four swatches, then a comparison set (I'll list the names after the photo, in order):  Punk Couture: Hautecore Punk Couture Instigator Studded Kiss Dark Side (DS) Instigator Media Studded Kiss Heaux Just a Bite Studded Kiss VIVA Glam I Deeply Adored Studded Kiss MAC Red I find these much creamier than the previous incarnations of matte colors (both the "retro" and the current regular matte.)  Sadly, I got rid of my tube of Cyber - I haven't seen one yet, has anyone done swatches of Punk Couture vs Cyber vs Smoked Purple all in the same photo? (I have trouble comparing photo to photo since lighting and other things really change how a color looks to me.)
Thanks for the swatches! Studded Kiss almost looks like Dark Side to me so that makes me excited bc I'm having the hardest time finding DS ANYWHERE! Every counter I've tried is out or their last one is the tester

MAC Hautecore w/ Illamasqua lipgloss in Repulse
Nars Albatross on temples, bridge of nose, cupid's bow and chin

This makeup look is very different from my "plain Jane, neutral" look lol.

Just caved and ordered both EE and stone liner!!! Will let you know how it comes out since my stone liner was supposed to be delivered yesterday but UPS changed to "adverse weather conditions may cause delay". My EE will be here next week as I ordered it last night! Can't wait!!! Are you getting EE?
Where did you order it from?? I tried to order it from Macys on Thursday and it said item was currently unavailable even thou it said in stock .. I was bummed :( . But you will never guess I went to a local Mac counter to check out the Magnetic Nude collection asked the girl if they had EE in stock and she said let me check. I was already prepared for the no sorry we don't have it. Then she came back saying she had one left you bet I snatched that sucker right out of her hand Lmao!! Yes Girl, Let me know how you like it paired with stone I really like the color of that liner.

I'd like to know too! Unless it was eBay lol. I just don't buy makeup from eBay or at least I haven't been inclined to so far.

I think EE is totally better on me without a liner. I've tried it with Stone and that looks really cool, but let's face it - it's more of a look straight out of the 90's and I've already been there, done that. :coffee: Yepp! It's just a different look. I'd say if you knew you were going to be taking photos and wanted your lips to really stand out, even with flash photography, using a liner will accentuate them. You can also just partially line the spots you want extra depth, like under the lower lip and cupid's bow, and blend in really well. [/quote] @Liba!! Hey ! I love the 90s look I like to flashback to the grunge days Hahahaha!! Thanks! For the idea on how accentuate I really need to try that out :)

Ignore the phone-with-flash- quality but for NYE I wore Haute Core and put a dab of UD Half Baked in the center...I LOVED the way it looked. The eyeshadow also helped it stay on alll night through drinking, smoking, etc. In this pic the UD had spread out a little from the center but, you get the idea. This is the first time I've tried something like this so I really haven't gotten the hang of it yet.
