This is pathetic. Even if she got a bad one, it's sad that these harden up and you have to scrape layers off. Disappointing, because they look nice in some swatches. I think I recall ladies in the Toledo thread having to take knives and sandpaper to their blushes to be able to get pigment. Obviously, I'll try to swatch in store before 100% deciding to skip... but yikes!
Yeah, I wanted to get both... but this is pathetic. This cannot be the intended formula. I don't get why anyone has to jab and jab just to get some pigment when you can get much better products. I have Ripe Peach from Toledo and even though I haven't taken any tools to it, I have to apply many layers just for it to show up on my NC15/20 complexion. I like the color though... but to me it's not ideal... especially to pay $35.50...

It's that kind of formula like sculpting powders. They seem hard but they are really not. They are not soft and powdery like some other formulas for example careblend. They are sheer and not a lot of product gets picked up on the brush
How do you apply this? Does it get softer after several uses? Or do you score it first?

I will get one of the bronzing powder but will check them out in the store first. I don't have any experience in using them so I want to see them in person and how they apply first

I so need to catch up on this thread-lots of reading over the weekend.

The instore release date is still May 21st at all locations, correct? So online release would be around May 14th?

Just in time for my little Memorial Day Weekend vacation- I'll have time to play with them.

Sorry about the lighting guys but blushes and swatches in order go...

Crips White, Cream Soda, Linda, Cheeky Bugger, Honey Jasmine, Royal Sunset, Immortal Flower and Fun Ending....

Cream Soda and Crips White look exactly like imo but if anyone want a better swatch of Crips White close up with any of those blushes let me know and i'll do it in better lighting when it's daylight :)

This is great, thank you! Just reaffirms my want of Crisps White.

Now I think I might have to skip. I like Morange but my friend does not wear anything like that. Not sure about Freshen Up for her. Hmm

Well, my list is dwindling after seeing the swatches! But that is a good thing for my wallet. I am only interested in Hipness and Steam Heat for now. Still waffling on Crisp Whites, and maybe Colour Matters. But Tumble Dry is officially a no-go.

I find a dense brush works much better than a soft and/or fluffy one. I only have the regular powder so I can't say for the bronzers, but the regular powder isn't supposed to provide a lot of coverage; it's meant to give a diffused look to the skin... Blurring pores etc. but not to "cover" anything. That's what the MAC artist told me anyway. I assume these bronzers are meant to provide a sheer wash of "natural" colour and the other bronzers in the collection would be for those who want a lot of colour intensity. But since I haven't seen these products in person yet, I'm kind of just speculating based on my experience with the regular Studio Sculpt powder.
