I don't see anything wrong with this policy. There has to be some sort of limit as to how much of a product is left when you return it. There are a lot of people out there who would use most of a product and then try and return it. In essence they would be getting the product for free - not saying this is what you did. When it comes to foundations and powders, I check it in daylight as soon as I buy it, I've had too many experiences like you where the color looked great indoors and outdoors it isn't flattering.

Overall, I think Sephora's return policy is fair. The time limit is pretty generous (I think it's 90 days) and you don't even need a receipt. I think part of the problem is that some customers aren't familiar with the policy and then get upset when the employees at the store try to enforce it. Just this past weekend I was in the store and a customer was getting irate b/c they wouldn't let her return something she bought in January and that had clearly been used.
I was just recently informed by an SA at a Sephora local to me that they updated their return policy to within 30 days WITH a receipt. If you don't have one, they can look up the purchase on your record but it will only be for a product exchange or store credit, not a refund. I guess they are cracking down. I have only returned something once and it was within two weeks after I'd used it 3-4x to determine that I was sure I didn't like it (face wash).

I will actually be pretty upset with this. :( Sometimes it takes a while to realize how i'll like expensive skin care and/or foundations. I think 60 is fair, tbh. And I don't excessively return products.

So I'm caving and buying a few of the KVD liquid lipsticks. I want Requiem, Love Sick and Bow & Arrow. All of my local stores show them in stock, so I thought I'd call and double check. The SA told me that they don't have them In stock and the whole lecture about how the locator is inaccurate. I pushed a little and said "do you think they may be in the back?" Then she says, well I think I saw Bow and Arrow earlier today, but we sold the last one. I acted all sad about it, so she finally offered to go check in the back, but repeated "we probably don't have it." She came back on the phone and said, so I have a Bow and Arrow here, and I hear her shuffling through a box. Then say finds Requiem and, magically, Lovesick pops up too. LOL This checking in the back thing seems to be something they just don't like to do at all. I mean, it took her less then a minute! Anyway, I'm glad I pushed bc they really weren't going to help me with this product. On my way to pick up all three colors now!

and had an exchange. I've given up on ambient lighting powers. I'll stick with my meteorites. I picked up the new rose clay origins mask, the new serum from the same "line" ask the origins mask, the new ABH Palette and (another) KVD liquid lipstick in Nosferatu.

I didn't expect to like the abh palette but it swatches nicely on my arm with primer... Sooo.. It came home with me.

Also picked up the clarisonic 500 point perk!

If in a few months I try to say that I'm not buying any of those Bite Beauty sets, I need one of y'all to come over and slap the mess out of me.

I am OBSESSED with the YSL blur products!!  Unbelievable!!!  Awesome link---thanks for sharing SHERLOCK!!!!
I just tried my sample of the Blur Primer for the second time today and I like it so much more than the first time. Even bare Faced it truly blurred my pores and gave a nice sheen to my skin. Now to figure out how to wear the Blur Perfector. I think I'm using too much bc I feel like it just sits on top of my skin and sort of balls up and rubs off when if I touch my face lol

Oh is it only for Canada? I am in Canada so I guess that makes sense. I don't know why they did it only here though. Did we do something wrong? It's not like they give us access to Flash shipping or any really great perks. Sometimes it takes me a few days or weeks to even get to opening something new I've bought from them so I don't know if I care for the policy or not but it seems to be in line with other store returns in Canada so I guess it's not out of the norm here.
The way the info was delivered to me almost felt like a lecture. I was looking around like a kid trying to escape the principal's office, feeling the heat for something I didn't do.
