Okay, I am putting politics aside here for a moment.
If you hate Palin for her views, fine. I am in no way shape or form asking you to vote for her party. That's up to you.
I am not talking about that. I am going to discuss a particular topic.
SNL went too far with the clip on incest. Palin made a comment about it, but the media slammed her on it. "It's just humor." This clip has in it too "incest and rape" comment. It's so slight. It's rather subliminal.
SNL even made an insinuation of the state of Alaska to incest. Is this confirmed? Is Alaska the incest & rape capital of the United States or does this indeed happen in States like Alaska? What? How is Alaska any different than any other State in that regard?
Incest goes on in every State of the Union and in every culture from the rich to the poor around this World. Who are the primary targets of incest and rape? Who are statistically the pedophiles and rapists? It's not women.
Why am I going here? They did.
Women in general should be outraged by this, but I have not seen any evidence of it. So, they are allowing SNL or any other person or persons to say whatever they want about this woman or in a broader sense women (females). What they don't realize is she is one of us. What you allow to happen to her; you are allowing this to happen to you as a woman in other places. It's okay for you to be smeared in anyway possible. I do mean ANY way possible.
Women are still oppressed all over the world with sex slavery, lack of equal pay, etc. These comments are made by a man in this video and they were made by men in the SNL comments that failed horribly to be funny. The audience didn't find it funny at all.
Even if the accusations were true, her children would be suffering from these attacks too. Who cares? Right! It's just children. Right! Children mean nothing. She is just woman. She means nothing. Right! It's just an election. Who cares? Right! What is that really saying?.
Am I going too far? No. These are the messages and responses by the public by their silence.
She is us. Whether you have children or not, it doesn't matter. Are you female? We will all pay the price in the long run.
What happens to one will affect another. This isn't going down in isolation. It is setting up a pattern for us all.
Even if I were a man and/or father, I think this is absolutely an outrage. How low do you have to demean men that do not part take in such incomprehensible acts with children/adults?
That subtle comment carries a tremendous amount of weight no matter what context it is placed.
BTW- Thanks to the poster that put this up. I was not aware of this video.
