Im not happy with my Plumetis. It is very drying. I dont own any other Rouge Cocos so I can not compare to others but I recall reading somewhere that this shade was more drying than others. I wish I would have kept my receipt because I would have go back to exchange for Rouge Coco shine, they are excellent. I feel that my Revlon and Rimmel lipsticks are better than this one.
Rouge Coco's are very drying on my lips also, I own Chintz and Patchouli and I can only wear them under a glossimer. I wear Patchouli over Pleasing glossimer and it doesn't dry my lip out and it looks very pretty :)

^^ What's on your list at the moment?

Hi Miss QQ! On my list so far... Peridot n/p, Rose Ecrin JC and two of the cream shadows, Illusoire (sp?) and Epatant. I think those are the correct names, the smokey purple and khaki green shades. I finally got around to swatching GA's Eyes to Kill shadows today and while I loved the texture, not one of the colours really wowed me. So my interest in Chanel's shadows has been renewed. Those are the items I'm starting out with, and after about a month or so (and more funds) I intend to also get the Prelude quad and the peachy cream shadow. I'm not really loving the lip colours with this collection though, and I don't feel like it's a well rounded haul if I don't have a good lippie to go with everything!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the fall collection!

Hi Nora! Have you seen the collection in person? The things on our lists are somewhat similar. I'm looking at Prelude, Rose Erin, and probably Graphite, but I'm not sure if I can pass Peridot. The three cream es I want are the same as yours, but I want to pick one up first to try, which is likely to be Epatant. I looked at the swatches of Armani around the web and I agree that chanel has better colours. I like what I saw and swatched at the counter, so I hope they work on my eyes. I feel the same about the lippies, and because we don't have the longwear lippies, Ardent and Discrete RAs are repromoted instead, and I have both. Do you have these two? Perhaps they work with the collection since they are being repromoted here. Also interested in the khaki eyeliner but I'm unsure since I hear it doesn't stay on.

That's the main reason I don't like the Rouge Cocos. I've to wear some balm under them, otherwise I've cracked lips after a day of wearing them.

I'm so happy to see the collection in person soon! I preordered the polishes, but am really curious to test the e/s!

^^ very exciting, isn't it? I was pleasantly surprised when I touched the es at the counter. Have fun! I didn't know rouge coco is drying for some of us here. I have no problems with them although my lips are dry. Strangely, I find them more moisturizing then the rouge coco shine. I have 3 shines but I stopped buying more although I like many of the colours. It goes to show how differently these chemicals work on each individual. So I was just talking about what I want to buy, and after work I went to the counter just 10mins away and there was a promotion of $20 off for every $200, and the fall collection just launched there, so I had to buy them! Came back with Epatant, Prelude, Rose Erin, Graphite and also Nymphea quad. I checked the manufactured date of Nymphea for fear that it might be produced long ago since it is an old quad. But it was made in Jan this year, which is great. I was really tempted to buynthe white cream es, as the MA was wearing it and the black one, and she looked gorgeous. I decided to pass the khaki eyeliner since i can probably find other things that work as a base, eg Epatant. I thought RE looks like Pink Cloud at first glance, but I hope the colour actually shows up. Can't wait to try my new makeup! :) This counter was repromoting Desinvolte and Exquise RAs instead, so I guess the counters are just randomly pulling out RAs that are warm pink or peach. I don't have either of these. I am curious to see which RAs all the counters are having..

Btw, how do you know when your quad was made? Do they have a date like MAC has?

^^ thanks! :) will let you know when I wear it. Can't decide what to wear this weekend. Yes, there is a sticker on the box indicating the date of manufacture. this only started some time last year. Before that my Chanel items didn't have them. Do yours have them? Winthrop - my RE is baked though. Hopefully it is just as pigmented. Maybe I can take a pic of it and Pink Cloud tomorrow. PC looks slightly paler and whiter in the pan.

Miss QQ, sounds like a great haul! Let us know what you think of everything.

Funny, the list I posted yesterday has been the same for weeks, but then today, in a moment of weakness, I had a major relapse at the mall and bought quite a few goodies, lol!

I ended up getting the UD shadow pencils in Rehab and Sin and the 24/7 liner in black. Also got two MAC MES, Mineral Mode and Rare Find, (had a gift card to cover a good part of them), and then went to the Chanel counter and got Royalieu RC Shine and Pink Sugar l/l (I think that's the correct name for the liner!). I also really wanted to get the pale shimmery beige RC shine, but refrained for now. The Chanel SA said that the Prelude quad was not going to be permanent, but that just doesn't sound right?! She's usually pretty good with the info she gets. If that's the case, I may need to get the quad first, and hold off on the cream shadows. Then I was off to get a pair of leggings for my daughter and picked up a cardigan from Mango. It was not a good day for the wallet...

^^ Nora, sounds like you were busy yesterday!! Do you love the Pink Sugar l/l?? I only have one Chanel lip liner that I got in a gift set, and I absolutely love it!
I better find out if the Prelude quad is perm or not -- I need to get it ASAP :) Enjoy all of your goodies

Hey Michelle! I'll have to get back to you about the liner! I got it partly because if I spent a minimum $50, I got another beauty club card, which saved me $10 on my purchase today and another $20 next month when we finally get the fall collection here. Also because Royalieu is so sheer on its own, it needs a liner to make it show up. It looked pretty over Natural l/l, which I already have and also over Pink Sugar. The shimmery beige RC shine also looked pretty over both of these, so I figured might as well!

I have my doubts about Prelude not being permanent, but the SA seemed so sure. She was pretty confident only the cream shadows were permanent. At any rate, I think I will wait on the cream shadows for now then, since I picked up the UD 24/7 shadow pencils. So my list is now Peridot, Rose Ecrin and Prelude. I'm not as excited about this collection now that I had to cut back my list though!!!

Nora, sounds like you had fun shopping! I have not bought any of the UD shadow pencils though I looked at them a few times. I love Mango too! I like the style and most importantly they fit me well. The only two chanel l/l I have are Natural and Pink Sugar too! I haven't use Pink Sugar with the nude lippies so I'll experiment. I thought Prelude is perm, but who knows.. Sorry you had to cut back on your list.

I wore Epatant today and I love it! You only need a little and it goes on very smoothly and evenly and turns into powder. I used a synthetic brush and picked up a tiny bit for one eye but it was too much and I used it on the other eye too, but picked up a bit more from the pot because one eye was more intense. I used Epatant on the lid, the lightly blended out to the browbone so there is some shimmer, and used Fauve on the crease. Fauve looks a lot like Illusoire. I want to buy more of the cream es, the white and maybe the black too, but since my wallet is hurting from my haul, I'll wait. The peach one seems to blend into my skin and all I get is a sheen with a hint of peach so I think I'll pass. I was out for 7 hours and there was no creasing, but I use Too Faced eye shadow insurance. Rose Erin is pigment, thankfully! It showed up beautifully. On my lips, I had Discrete and Constellation, and changed to Ardent later on. Both are pretty with the look.

Pink Cloud, Rose Erin. PC has more white and a silver sheen in the pan.

Chanel has been burning a whole in my wallet. Recently I have hauled: Rose Ecrin - nice, but nothing oh so exciting in my opinion, Rose Tourbillion- hot rasberry pink- like nothing I have, and a little goes a long way, Topkapi Quad- so overpriced, but oh so pretty, Rose Bronze Bronzer (had to hunt it down since it was summer and the SA said it was amazing and I agree), Epatant- so sparkly and so pretty, Illusoire - a one and done shade, love it, Rose Plantine - I think it's prettier swatched than worn, but still nice. I'm lemming Fauve too

Miss QQ, thanks for your review of Epatant! It sounds pretty, and so hard to resist, lol! Maybe that can't wait after all!!! And if Fauve is close enough to Illusoire, then I'll wait on that for now, because I really do love Fauve.

The UD shadow pencils really impressed me when I played with them on my hand. The two shades I got went on so smoothly and didn't dry up too fast that I couldn't blend them easily. But when I went to remove them with the mu remover, it took a bit of work, so I'm pretty sure they'll stay put. I'll report back once I've tried them on. I can see them working great as a base, especially to enhance some sheerer shadows and they seem much quicker to apply than the MAC paints. I think it was SIN, but it looked kinda similar to the peachy cream shadow from Chanel, which is why I can safely pass this now.

Powderprincess, Chanel is a bad addition to have! Unlike MAC, hauling 3 or 4 items really adds up!

Hi powderprincess. Yes, chanel addiction is expensive. You remind me of Topkapi, I must use it again soon! Only use it twice.. Too many new eyeshadows from chanel to play with recently!

Nora - the UD shadow pencils sound promising! At the moment I want more of the chanel cream eyeshadows but there isn't any colours that I really want or need. I wish there were more colours, but these 6 are very pretty. I'm leaning on the white one now, Fantasme. Shimmery, white goodness that feels smooth when I blend it out, but probably I can't wear it everyday. Graphite np has reminded me of Kaleidoscope, which I didn't buy and have been kicking myself all the time.

I wore Prelude today. The pigmentation is great, especially for the two darker shades. I use too much of the 2 dark shades and it is a little dark for a day in the office, but it is not shimmery or intense so it is still wearable. Now I know what they meant by palette of shadows. I like it and will be experimenting with nude looks with this quad.

Hi! Hope you get the collection soon! I plan to wear Epatant again tomorrow to see how it holds for a whole day.

Those of you who have Illusoire and Fauve, are they close? If I have Fauve can I pass Illusoire? I love the colour.

I don't have Illusoire but I don't think you can even compare it with Fauve. Fauve more of a soft, shimmery purple-taupe colour. It's quite hard to describe. Illusoire seems much closer to the purple from the Spring quint.

Amy from Cafemakeup has done a comparison here:

http://cafemakeup.com/2011/06/chanel-illusion-dombre-illusoire-review/

They appear to be completely different, enough to justify having both!
