Thanks for posting that comparison pic Kanne. It is really pretty, but a bit on the dark side. Those types of colours tend to go on ruddy looking with my skintone, so I may have to have someone at the counter put that on for me to try out.

MissQQ, the white shade sounds interesting! Do you think it would work as a wash on the lid with some liner, or is it too light for that? I think I want to have another look at the BB cream shadows as well, there are some really pretty metallic shades in her line, but I've swatched those, and they go on differently, more sheer and glittery. I need quick and easy products these days! I am no longer motivated to wake up a bit earlier to put on make-up, too tired, lol!

^^ I'm with you, I need quick and easy products. Waking up early or running to catch the train is no fun! Yes I think Fantasme can work that way. What I love about these shadows is that you can apply it to near opaque, or blend it out to give a sheer wash because of the smooth cream to powder texture. Fantasme when blended out, gives visible sparkles that twinkle in the light. I love Cafemakeup's review on it. When I first read it before I saw it IRL, I was skeptical. But now that I saw the real thing, I think she did a great and true, honest review of the product. Do we need to store these upside down, like mac paint pots, to prevent it from drying?

I worry that Illusoire may look muddy on me too. And Ebloui may look ruddy on me. But I just saw this and Ebloui looks beautiful on the girls. I want it!

Quiet day here. How's everyone? I wore Epatant today to test it and it lasted all day. I would say I applied it semi opaque on my lids and blended slightly into the crease. There is only slight creasing at the inner lids, as I have half hidden double eyelids, so that is expected. But the colour remained vibrant. Love it and I will be picking up more. I have Lancome's Erika K which is a close dupe but I like Epatant more. They look so pretty together: Graphite, Epatant, Erika K

Miss QQ, your comparison of Epatant to Erika K makes me giddy! I tried for the longest time to get my hands on that shadow, but never did! And if you think that Epatant is even better, then I am completely sold! Graphite also looks super pretty in your pic! Aaahhh, I really need to reconsider my list, and stick with it. I'm afraid of going in without a plan and getting impulsive and spending too much, lol!

And Ebloui looks stunning in those pics also! I personally don't find the reddish brown shades to go on muddy, but do need a nice dark liner when I wear them to counteract the red base. Maybe that's one you can try on at the counter?

On another note, I tried the UD shadow pencils, and am sad to say that they didn't work on my lids at all like they did on my hands! The lighter shade got all chunky and dried way too quickly, and the darker shade looked like dirt on my lid! They are going back. The 24/7 liner however, I looooved. I will be getting a couple more of those instead. I only picked up Zero, but plan on getting the reddish brown colour and a nice olive green shade as well.

This thread has been really slow lately, makes me kinda sad, because we haven't even gotten it here yet and it seems so many of you are already over it!

Hi Nora! Don't be sad. I guess everyone is busy with their "real lives". I just got the items and I'm really excited trying them out so I'll be spending time here still. When are you getting the collection? There is something about Erika K that I don't like wearing it on its own, especially on my inner lids, yet it is such a shimmery khaki that stands out on its own. Graphite is stunning. I haven't worn it yet except testing it on a finger at the counter. It looks warm and cool at the same time due to the gold and silver sparkles.

I don't like trying eyeshadows at the counter and besides, the lighting is so bad that I can't see how it looks properly on me too. I'm likely to go ahead and buy Ebloui the next time there is some promotion going on. :) And Fantasme too. Sorry that the UD shadow pencils didn't work out. But it's good that you can return it. I like the 24/7 liners. I have 2 full sized, Mildew (is this the one you want?) and Zero, and several minis because I bought 2 of the book of shadows.

That is the nicest pic I've seen of Graphite. The others that I have seen don't show the different colours that it seems to reflect. This collection will be available here officially August 22nd, but I generally am able to get my hands on it a bit earlier. I may wait till I go to Virginia to pick up the quad, since it's cheaper and the U.S. square pan version, and may also get Rose Ecrin when I'm down there. But I'm definitely picking up Epatant and Peridot here.

I'm not sure what the names are of the UD liners I was looking at last week. I know one was Rock Star, which was more of a purple-ish shade, but that's lower on my list! I'll be heading to the mall tomorrow to get the two I mentioned. I hate hanging on to stuff that needs to be exchanged! I'm also definitely picking up one of the BB pots when I'm there!

Very pretty pic MissQQ! I love shimmery taupes! So gorgeous. I haven't tried any cream shadows because my lids tend to be oily, but who knows, maybe I should give them a try!

Nora -- I love the UD liners, too. I absolutely love their 24/7 liner in Whiskey (dark brown) -- but they don't sell that one individually, only with a set. It really glides on without dragging -- love!
With my kids out of school for the summer, we are so busy. I don't seem to have as much time to get on the computer. They all want to be using the computer LOL!

Hi ladies,

I am on holidays right now (yeyeee
pompom.gif
) and I am not going out in the daylight, since it's being sooo hot lately. So for now, I am not even getting close to my makeup and I don't feel like buying makeup either. I don't know if the fall collections are on the counters now ... oh well ... I don't recognize myself!

Nah, I'm not over it, it's just that the things I got...like Prelude and Etole...feel very fall to me, so I put them away till then. Not to worry I'm pretty sure we're all capable of getting excited all over again with you when you get your stuff!

Have fun on holiday Almus!!

Oh yay! Nice to see some ladies on here today! I know, I'm sure most of us are quite busy, I know I haven't been on here all that much lately, but I also feel I don't have much to contribute since we're so behind with this collection!!! All I can post is my revised wish list!

I know it's definitely hard to get into fall collections when the summer is still going so strong. And it really is too hot to go crazy with make-up right now. I've been sporting some liner, bronzer on the cheeks and a sheer lippie all summer long. I have to force myself to put on a wash of shadow just so my eyes don't look so naked, and even then it's usually just the rose bronze shade in the GA summer quad.

Almus, enjoy your holiday!

The counter here actually got this collection, after the SA said she probably wasn't going to be able to get it in (Chanel wouldn't let her have the Summer collection either), so imagine my surprise when I went in yesterday for something not makeup related and saw this sitting there! So much for saving this month! I grabbed Graphite quickly because I was in a hurry, but oh my gosh. It is so gorgeous. I can't wait for an excuse to wear it, I don't think it's exactly day time friendly. I'll just stick to Black Pearl, which I only just got my hands on last week (it has been out of stock here for that long!).

I'm going to go back on the weekend and have another look. I'm still thinking about Etole. I also wanted the eyeliner, but it seems quite green/gold. I feel like Rose Platine was for pale skin (me) and Khaki Platine is more for warm skin.

^^ Enjoy Graphite! Good to hear your counter is getting the fall collection.

Nora - great that you can get the square eyeshadow quad. If you get the JC there it will be the US version too is it? I hope one day I can try the JC instead of my baked ones. I have been busy trying the new makeup and not using the summer makeups. I should go back to them before summer slips by.

Michelle - Yeah I think you should give them a try. Since they don't stay as cream but turn into powder, there may be a chance they don't crease as much as other cream ones. I use an eyeshadow primer before apply any type of eyeshadows.

Almus - Enjoy your holiday!

Has anybody tried using Mirifique as a gel eyeliner?

My savings month has gone out the window...definitely heading back to swatch Etole and Khaki Platine again.

^^ I didn't. I think it will be pretty.

I went to try Peridot again and then I went home to swatch Gold Fiction and Gold Lame beside it. Peridot looks different enough, a tarnished gold. The green is not obvious but visible in the shade and at the sides. I also tried OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous and it is much darker than Graphite. Graphite has a green/gold shine that it doesn't have. But LLM was what I wished chanel Steel was. Steel is so dark it looks black.

This is a quick pic I took, all 1 coat. Gold Fiction, Peridot, Gold Lame, OPI LLM

So yesterday I went to my local Chanel counter to ask about the release date. They think that it might show up end of August, but they haven't seen the collection yet themselves and she told me that with Chanel they never know. Apparently all the other brands launch at around the same time, except Chanel. I guess I will show up again in two weeks. Too bad they have nothing in their books when it actually will launch. It seems that even the SAs were unhappy with Chanel leading customers on. So worst case a few more weeks wait for me.

Oh boo Bis! They can't even get a firm launch date? I think we're one of the last to get this collection, and I was told August 22nd. I can't imagine you haven't to wait longer than that.
Yes, it really sounded like the SA were not too happy about this "unpredictability" thenselves :dunno: See, at least I'll keep you company while waiting ;)
Long wait for you ladies! If you are getting this late, will the velvets be launched shortly or together? Yeh we had rain all day today and I felt cold and hungry.
