Gorgeous photo! These look like promo pics! Yes, share your thoughts/looks on the d'Ombres.
Yay! Picked up my items - I've never, and probably will never spend this much in one shot on cosmetics ever again, lol!

The Illusion d'Ombres are sparklier than I expected, I hope this doesn't result in too much fallout. I'm really happy with the colours I picked though!

I'm sure everyone is sick to death of photos of this collection, but I just want to share a few pics (because i'm excited!) It's a very photogenic collection :)

I'm shocked my counter got this collection earlier than counters in other cities. Usually Ottawa's sooo sleepy with makeup, lol! But I'm glad this collection is showing up around Canada now, it's def a gorgeous one :)

Hi Sadeeh! Glad that it's up. Let us know what you get. What do you think of the lipsticks?

elizabetch - great haul! I have Epatant and it applies smoothly and there is not fallout at all. Fantasme has the chunkiest glitters out of the 6 but when I swatched it, it feels quite smooth, as though the glitters are part of the cream, and then it sets as powder. Hopefully it doesn't cause fallout on the eye, because I'm thinking of getting it. Let us know how you find the Illusion d'ombres.

I have swatched Fantasme a few times. I don't remember any fallout. I am considering getting it myself. It looks really nice over shadows or the other Illusion D'Ombres.

Yeh! Let us know if you buy it. I really like how it looks but I don't know if I can wear it to the office.

Finally got to see this collection in person today. I wasn't really feeling a lot of it. I ended up with Epatant and Quartz n/p for now. I am still contemplating Illusiore e/s, it's permanent though, so it can wait. Peridot was super pretty, but I probably wouldn't get much use out of it. I was told this was also permanent, so I can always treat myself later on. Graphite was stunning, but not exactly office appropriate, so I passed on that (which I may regret down the road).

I don't really want to go back to read all the older posts, so for those of you that did get Rose Ecrin, how well does it show up on your skin? It looked really light on my skin, but I am kinda tanned atm.

Also, for my skintone twins, Winthrop and MissQQ, did you end up getting Prelude, and if so, what do you think of the colours? Do they look nice or a little too ashy?

So all in all, I was quite pleased with myself for not getting too impulsive as I often do when new collections come out! The SA was quite confused! She said this was honestly the least amount of money I've spent at her counter, lol!

Yes, I love Prelude...but I think it verges on ugly in the pan, and even in arm swatches. You really, really need to try it on to appreciate it! RE definitely shows up on me but on my skintone it looks alot like US Orchid Rose but without the shimmer. Since both Prelude and RE are perm I'd say try them on, look at them in daylight, etc.

Nora -- I still haven't bought Prelude -- only because I don't have a Chanel counter near me where I can swatch. I think just about every blogger raved about it, though! I think I will end up getting it because I love neutrals. I did get RE blush and really love it. A great neutral pink that goes with everything. I am a NW 20 and it shows up as a beautiful flush

Thanks for your feedback ladies!

The SA today said Rose Ecrin was not permanent, so maybe I should pick that up.

Winthrop, your description is spot on! It did look ugly in the pan!

Nora - Enjoy Epatant and quartz! RE shows up nicely on me, better than Narcisse. I don't have Orchard rose so I'm glad to have it. I've worn prelude only once and I like it. It truly is a palette of shadows, which I didn't understand until I wore it. It doesn't look ashy on me. It sort of make me look like I have naturally deep set eyes, which is great because I am heavy lidded with half hidden double eyelids. I need to play with it more. I haven't pick up Peridot too, not sure if I will wear it much. I keep going back and forth on the illusions d ombres. Now I'm thinking of getting Emerville instead of Fantasme or Myrifique because it is something I can wear a lot.

Bad news, the Fall collections still did not make it here, but they expect it every day. But, further bad news, they had the new Velvet lipsticks :drools: I got Pirate and La Raffinée. They swatch amazing! Really, seriously, amazing. They have a Velvet texture but feel very moist, yet have a gorgeous matte finish on the lips. They feel like nothing on my lips, yet have a great staying power :pompom: I  MACs Mattene lipsticks, but I will not get any of them and rather get the Chanel Velvets. I really wonder who Phillips sold his sold to, however it was, it was so worth it ;) I hope the Chanel Fall collection make it here soonish.
La Raffinée is the infamous "rosewood" one, right?
:nods: Very close to the colour of my lips.
Were all of the other colors pretty bright? Is Pirate a red like the holiday nail polish?
No, Pirate was a darker red, not light a bright red. If you want I can do some swatches tomorrow, but generally the Velvet colours were darker, but still very sophisticated and wearable.

Bis -- so exciting about the Velvets! I'm glad to hear they aren't dry or chalky looking. I really want that rosewood color. I would love to see swatches!
I hope the Fall collex makes it there soon -- sheesh, they make you wait long enough!

Funny enough, I had a chat with my SA today about the velvet l/s when I (ahem) went back to get the blush! She also raved about the texture. She did say though that most of the colours were very saturated types of colours, so nothing too light. I was hoping for a nice light shade to pair with darker eyes.

Is MAC coming out with new mattenes?!

^^ It looked like maybe there was one nude pink color in the velvets (??) Let's hope so! I was hoping for a nude pink and a medium pink shade. I'm hoping it gives that "Madmen" look from that TV show that is all the rage :)
