Yes, Sabrina's pics look more in line with what I expected. Can't wait for her swatches if she does them, and (selfishly, since she's closer to my skintone) Karla's too! Glad to read her comments re the formula on the quad because some of the baked eye quads I've tried are not the best compared to the US formula and I was kind of bummed out to see that they seem to be going baked with everything now.

Ya that thought doesn't appeal to me either but she said that the strong sunlight was making them appear more sparkly than they really are. The sun must have altered how it looks enough for her to feel it was worth making that statement. .... I hope...

Ok, so I ordered the darn quad

I called the Chanel dude that is going to go National for Chanel, he does tons of makeovers & flies all over to do training for Chanel (but having said all that he is partial I guess) but anyhow, I talked with him a bit ago on the phone, & he said the quad is gorgeous, very very pigmented, is the baked formula which he says is very smooth, it does have "good" glitter

& he said it will sell out as soon as they get it in the store.

so, the sucker that I am...I ordered it.

I haven't bought any Chanel in ages but I like the looks of this collection.

I'm considering:
-the quad
-patchouli lipstick
-Pink Tweed Blush
-Pleasing?? glossimer (coppery one)
-liquid eyeshadow - I don't recall the name and I've never tried this formula before so I'm not sure about this one.

When it this collection due to hit counters?

^its different it seems at every store. One of my Macy's & one Dillards told me in a week. Sometimes Nordstroms gets it earlier

I'm jealous of your in with the Chanel dude! That quad does look gorgeous. I am loving the 2 browns and the creamy color! Maybe I need to get on it and order it and the glossimer ASAP!

Charming glossimer and Patchouli lipstick have definitely caught my eye! Pleasing glossimer looks nice too, but I have to pick and choose with this collection. I'll be skipping the quad, not because I don't like it, but because I'm waiting on the Soho quad and cannot afford both right now. So it's down to one l/s and one glossimer.

He is extremely extremely knowledgeable & women travel from all over to have him do their makeup. Downside is, if he goes National he won't be around me.

The other funny thing is, I just met his nephew that just started as an artist for MAC at my new local counter. I had a great personal meet & greet with him right after the opening. He's really great too. It's nice to glean ANY & EVERY bit of info I can from them.

Oddly enough, the blush isn't calling my name--although it's lovely. Since cutting my long hair to pixie length, I've been doing more intense eye looks and strayed from my usual favorite focus on cheeks & lips. Time to change my signature, perhaps?

Curious question: Is the shimmer on the tweed blushes just some sort of overspray?

I don't know but that looks fairly shimmery

I was at my closest Chanel counter today at Dillard's and I saw the holiday sets on display. The set with the blush looked really nice and the color of the blush just sitting in the compact was beautiful. There were a TON of people at the counter and it was really crowded so I didn't get to play with any of them but next time I go back, I will definitely take a closer look.
