I thought a few of the Chanel regulars raved about either Blanc de Chanel or Base Lumiere? Maybe Cheryl or Shontay?

ok, I do have the Blanc & Love it on but I wasn't aware that its a primer

It was Shontay

I'm heading to the counter tomorrow to check out the new foundation and a couple of things from Summer '11. I need something new and different from my black liquid liner and have been hearing you all rave about Rose Platine.

What do you all think of Chanel primers? I've been using the Purete skincare and it's been really amazing for my skin. Only thing is now I'm noticing my pores are showing more. :( I was interested in the Chanel primer since I want to explore the line more, but it seems like it has mixed reviews.
The white essentiel base works well on me, but I don't use it regularly simply because I don't use face primers every time. I have the Base Lumiere samples and like it too, it gives a glowy finish. Haven't try the base hydratante lissante before.

I just visited the chanel website and wow, they have 4 face primers in my region now! I forgot there is a new Le Blanc base this spring too. Hope to get some samples when I buy my summer goodies.

Oh goodness I'm behind! Just at work but I'll try to address everything!

Thanks HG!!

The Dior Aurore bronzer: I'm in Canada so I think we actually got something first for a change. I picked it up at Shoppers Drug Mart ;-) I will post pics soon of me wearing it. I uploaded them quick to my blog before I left for work but I still have to finish the text of my post before I post it. It is definately warmer than I was expecting. It was a big fail 2 days ago but I think it had a lot to do with me wearing it with Espiegle. I wore it the following day and it was a bit better. I may not keep it.

LMdB Peau Vierge. I have the NEW Shade 1 sample. I actually saw it and went yuck! It looked far too dark for me and it is defininitly peachy and I am more pink toned. I definately need a shade 0 for a perfect match......BUT all that said once applied it looks LOVELY! It blended in flawlessly and you couldn't detect it at all. It gave a hint of color to my face but did not look in any way unnatural. So it is absolutely workable. I would prefer most of the time to just look my uber pale self but this really didn't alter my skin tone much at all. It made my skin look really nice and very, very natural. I am shocked by how shimmery the Shade 2 and 3 are on Karla's swatches. I don't think I could every wear a foundation that sparkly but the new shade 1 is perfect.

I have also been using my samples my SA sent me of Vitalumiere Aqua and there again they looked way too dark. But BR10 blends in really well and looks great. I still wish it was lighter though :-( I'm really liking giving up on covering up all my spots and just enjoying having natural looking skin. It's much less stressful! LOL

I'll be back to post a pic shortly

Thanks! Yep, the sample swatch looks terrible. By the description, I thought maybe they meant if you want a peaches & cream complexion?? Weird. Anyhow - I was told that they removed the sparkles as all of the colors have been reformulated. They considered the sparkle (which is so minimal & not even noticeable) pore clogging. I will see if she can send me samples of shade 1

Keep us posted on the Aurore bronzer. It looked great in the pics on Cafe Makeup -- but it always says that Liz is very warm toned -- so I may not be able to pull it off. I guess I should be content with the EL Starfish and the Chanel blush/bronzers I already have. But when are any of us content with the makeup we already have?? lol

[/quote] Good question. I asked myself yesterday when I was depotting my eyeshadows....... And the EL starfish is the greatest bronzer ever! It gives my cheeks this happy glow and nice pinkish colour. Definitely a good buy, although I am feeling I should get a backup. Normally never feel like this. I hope the Chanel Rose Bronzer will give me similar look  I was asking a SA when we will get the collection and they have no idea. He told me June, but when I walked up to him he was cutting his nose hairs :dunno: Hopefully it's still the 7th of May.

^^ lol not a pretty sight. I'm waiting for this collection too. Oh yes I forgot about the EL starfish bronzer. I hope my counter gets it and I can try it before deciding. But the powder in the pan alone looks pretty already.

lou - i think you will love the bronzer. I'm waiting with you!

EWWWW OMG really??!!! Cutting his nose hairs in PUBLIC! at WORK!! YIKES!

I've been eyeing the Starfish bronzer too because I wanted something pinky. I have Bronze Rose on the way too so hopefully we will love it! I was hoping Aurore would be more pink not peach. I'm not sure where I got that idea from?

I thought the Dior Aurore would be pink-ish, too. Kinda bummed it's not, but I guess that is good news for my wallet.
I still love the Starfish bronzing blush -- it is peachy pink on me. I love it because it is hard to over-do and gives a nice healthy flush/glow and has a sheen, but not a shimmer. I think I could use the Starfish or Bronze Rose daily

Bis -- I am dying about the nose hair clipping . . .wowza! lol

OK here is the pic of me wearing the Dior bronzer. I think Espiegle is too orange on me. What do you gals think? I will try and post my look from yesterday tomorrow of me wearing the Dior bronzer again with a different blush.

Hmm that's not showing how orangy it looked too well? In some areas you can see it. Ugh oh well.

Christa -- I don't think it looks too orange-y -- it looks like a pretty peachy shade to me! I think it looks pretty with that lippie

Did you layer Espiegle on top of Aurora? Do you find when you wear Aurora on it's own that it is still really peachy??
