Oh Christa, I do like a lot how it looks! And I may be wrong with this, but perhaps your hair color is enhancing the orang-ish feeling?
We have no date yet for the release of the Dior collection yet and I want that bronzer NOW!
^^ lol not a pretty sight. I'm waiting for this collection too. Oh yes I forgot about the EL starfish bronzer. I hope my counter gets it and I can try it before deciding. But the powder in the pan alone looks pretty already.

lou - i think you will love the bronzer. I'm waiting with you!
It really is a great bronzer, not orange at all. Hope they arrive at the same time so you can decide which one you rather prefer (or maybe both :winkiss:)
EWWWW OMG really??!!! Cutting his nose hairs in PUBLIC! at WORK!! YIKES!

I've been eyeing the Starfish bronzer too because I wanted something pinky. I have Bronze Rose on the way too so hopefully we will love it! I was hoping Aurore would be more pink not peach. I'm not sure where I got that idea from?
We, we was behind a column, but just so much that I did not see him right away....
I thought the Dior Aurore would be pink-ish, too. Kinda bummed it's not, but I guess that is good news for my wallet.
I still love the Starfish bronzing blush -- it is peachy pink on me. I love it because it is hard to over-do and gives a nice healthy flush/glow and has a sheen, but not a shimmer. I think I could use the Starfish or Bronze Rose daily

Bis -- I am dying about the nose hair clipping . . .wowza! lol
How would you describe the difference in colour between Bronze Rose and the Starfish?
It's Rebelle RC Shine!
Oh no, the colour is gorgeous on you, and I was hoping to be done with the RCS.... I love the look on you and do not really think the blush is too orange. Might be my monitor though. Off to check if I can get Rebelle here...

Okay ladies, I did make it to the counter today and had a great time picking out just a few things with the SA. We'll call it a "spring update" for my beauty essentials. I was able to find a great match in the vitalumiere aqua foundation with B20. I really like the finish on this, and I felt the coverage was really nice because I have *alot* of ruddiness in my complexion. I am always on the lookout for something that can cover it. :( Thankfully the vitalumiere really performed for such a lightweight foundation. I also picked up Pensee glossimer because I am a complete sucker for corals and it just seemed like a light, fresh spring/summer gloss. However, when I got home and unpacked my goodies I saw the SA had given me Aurore so BLEH! I think I'll keep it and pick up Pensee on my next visit, but seriously how frustrating is it when that happens! I live in a little town and to go a counter I have to drive 45 minutes into the city.

I also played with the Dior 001 bronzer/blush you all have been talking about and fell in love with the luscious, easy color it created. The texture of the product is amazing and leaves a very fresh, sophisticated finish. The color didn't compete at all with the ruddy tones in my complexion so I couldn't pass it up. I think it will be a great staple for the rest of spring and summer. I would say it is a peach, but apply it heavier and you will get a deeper peach/bronze.

Oh and the SA sent me home with a sample of the new NARS primer with SPF. SPF protection is important to me since I use medicated creams. Currently SPF is completely missing from my makeup routine, so primer + SPF in one might solve that issue. I'm going to use this sample for the rest of the week and see how it does. It contains herbal ingredients that are supposed to alleviate redness (Hello, yes please! lol).

Anywho, don't want to get too far off topic but wanted to share today's haul and thank you all for your opinions on the Chanel primers. :) I'll probably post on the blog about my spring update with more pictures.

Bis -- I wold say the Starfish blush gives me a pinky peach finish with slight light bronzy undertones -- definitely has a pretty sheen to it.
Bronze Rose has more of a rosy pink color to it -- even with mixing it with the darker colors in the pan. Bronze Rose is cooler on me -- and the Starfish has a warmer peachy pink look. It seems to have a satin type finish on me -- not overly shimmery (which I like).
I hope that makes sense! It seems they look different on different people so I hope you get to check them both out in person. I like them both and am glad I bought both :)

Janice -- great pics and thanks for the update on your new goodies! I am still interested in the Dior bronzer even though I have bought 2 other ones lately. Bummer that they gave you the wrong glossimer! I do have Aurore and love it -- but it is very subtle and great over lipsticks. I would be frustrated if I went in for Pensee and didn't come out with it! Did you check out the Coco Shines while you were there?? Lucious

Gorgeous pics Janice!!!! You are so right about the finish of the Dior bronzer. I almost didn't buy it when I saw the fine sparkles in the pan but it is such a lovely finish that is almost impossible to overdue. I think my concerns of it being too peach were likely due to the effect of wearing it with Espiegle. I didn't end up wearing any bronzer today so I'll have to play more tomorrow!

Ooh, Janice that bronzer looks lovely. Great choice on the VA foundation - I love how natural it looks & feels like nothing on.

ty for the gorgeous pics Janice and a must get for summer bronzer !
Your welcome! I agree, one of these bronzer shades should be on everyone's "treat" list for spring/summer! Sometimes you just have to indulge yourself a little.

(not that any of us here have anyyyy problems with that)

mrslid- I don't think it looks too orange at all. It warms your complexion a bit, but it doesn't stand out. You're being harsh on yourself. Rebelle is beautiful on you!!!

Beautiful pics, Janice! Now I want Aurora again lol. I know your disappointment when you found the wrong gloss in your bag. This happens and I always want to check my items at the counter before paying, but sometimes I forget and this happens.

Thanks birgit. I greedily hope all the bronzers are launched at the same time so I can compare them altogether.

I observed that usually we get new collections in this sequence: Dior, Chanel, EL then Guerlain, and it takes about 2 months. Guerlain is very late.

Christa, I agree with Almus, I thought perhaps your hair colour is enhancing the orange feeling of the blush. Rebelle is gorgeous on you! It doesn't look that pretty on me.
Perfect, now I can argue that I need both :D Weirdly the Starfish is more pinkish than peach on me. Guess different skintones? But your description of the Bronze Rose sounds luscious :)
Beautiful pics, Janice! Now I want Aurora again lol.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Cannot wait to hear what you come home with :) Great pics Janice! Somehow the Aurore bronzer is not letting my heart beat quicker, no idea why though. Isn't it always great when you come home with things from shopping you really love? :)

For those of you waiting for this collection to come out -- here's another pic of the 2 glossimers I got (Aurore -- top, Pink Peony -- bottom). It is taken in direct sunlight so you can see the gorgeous micro-shimmers:

I used the Dior bronzer again today and used the Armani Spring blush (pink) and it turned it kind of muddy warm on me. I'm very undecided on it. Maybe I'll just stick to my Edward Bess Daydream when I'm feeling "bronzy". I'm so anxious to try Bronze Rose!!
Oh, tasty. The more I see of Pink Peony, the more I like it. Thanks for posting the pics :) Do you think with pigmented lips I can wear PP alone? I'll never try the glosses at Chanel on my lips, everybody uses them *urgh*
I used the Dior bronzer again today and used the Armani Spring blush (pink) and it turned it kind of muddy warm on me. Christa -- I hope your order comes soon! That is a bummer that the Dior came out looking a little muddy. I did think it looked great in the pics!

Bis -- I would think PP would be sheer on pigmented lips (maybe Elegant can chime in). Mine aren't very pigmented -- so I do get a rosey color. I prefer layering these 2 glossimers over lipsticks -- the effect is beautiful.
