I'm a little bit upset--when I was at MAC the MA put some purple liner with high top and I absolutely hated it. I wiped it off within 2 seconds because I looked like a clown. She applied the liner kind of thick for my taste, but I don't know....High Top just looked very purple and glittery on me.

2) Ummm I had the same problem with Strawbaby. wtf? Everyone loves strawbaby. She put a red liner with it and I just hated it. I'm wondering if maybe she applied it too thick? Like some people said with Utterly frivolous, if you apply one coat its perfect but if you apply more it starts getting bright. Maybe thats what happened? I really don't want to buy a lipstick that I have to "fix" with another gloss/balm.

When I saw the swatches, I loved the way High Top & Strawbaby looked. When I got to the store, High Top looked too purpley to me. But the MA asked if I wanted to try them out, so he put High Top on me and I was like ummm no, too dark, but he put Sugar Trance over it and it lightened it up and I loved it! I bought both of lipsticks and put Sugar Trance over them and I really like them both. As for lipliners I'm not sure, I just go without with these 2, but that's just me. You should just play around with different colors and see what looks best

I have the same problem!! I see so many of the talented people on here wearing High Top and looking lovely, but when I put it on, I looked like a little kid who was drinking grape juice. Don't even get me started on blushes!! I am so picky because most turn me into a clown!!

While I love how we all have different undertones, shades of skin, and textures, it just frustrates me how some people can wear colors that I never can! LOL

wow, thanks! If you could do a swatch with sugar trance over high top, that'd be great! Or if anyone could....that would be wonderful. I didn't think of this for some reason.

lol I didn't think the purple would be a problem on me. I see swatches of all kinds of things on here, and I'm like "huh"?? Things look different on people. Oh well, I guess.
I didn't know how Hipness would work for me...because its bright. I have a similar blush from Fyrinnae but I bought this one from MAC anyways. I dab a little bit on my blush brush and apply, and buff it out. i also put an MSF on top (either light flush or warmed....either one looks good) and it is just perfect. The blush, MSF's, and some of the lipsticks are reminding me of summer so much, I can't stand it! I just want to put on Utterly Frivolous, Hipness, Warmed AND Light Flush and go tanning on the beach. LoL

WHY did I get the Fafi eyes 2? The You're Fresh e/s (green) and the Bold as Gold (White Goldish color) are horrible. Talk about flakes!!! I dont feel as bad because of the red orangish shade (Shockwave). That looks nice. I should have known better since those other two are lustre shadows. Maybe I will find a use for them later.

Sorry for the rant.

Yeah, I'm not so wild about it either. The green one (You're fresh?) is so damn light and I have to PACK it on. And because I have to really load up my brush to get any color, there are flakes of glitter under my eyes. I'm going to hang on to it, but definitely would never repurchase...

I can totally empathise with u!!! U know how the bold scarlet lips are everywhere and was such a big thing last season and is continuing to this Valentine's Day. I cannot wear them AT ALL! I look like this old old old witch when I wear my lips scarlet or even brown! Lip colours with a bronzy undertone like the squeeze it l/g totally doesn't work on me at all! Same goes for the tan lips from last year's Finery. What a pity... Warm/Orange/Red/Brown colours can never ever be found on my lips!!! Sob!

OOO Those Hipness and MSF combos sound drool worthy!!

And I have to agree about it feeling like summer! Whenever I use something from this collection, I want to go outside in my SpongeBob boxers and sit on the bench swing in my backyard and read for a while. However, it is about 2 degrees in Buffalo right now....LOL

I feel like I am in the minority here, but I ADORE Fafi Eyes 2!!! Yeah, the colors are on the sheerer side, but I really don't own any colors like them and the flaking is no more than most unpressed pigments give me. I just really love pairing them all together for such a fun-sporty look!

^^ I am really liking Fafi Eyes 2 as well. Use Bold As Gold all over, then put Shockwave in the crease, then put rollickin' on my lid then put You're Fresh on top of that and it's a very pretty springy look.

I think that can be true with any makeup. How pigmented your lips are, if they absorb product a lot. I'm not sure about the latter point, but an MA once claimed that's why certain foundation colors can work for some people and not others, even if they have similar skin colorings

Well, I FINALLY got to check out the collection today. My Nordstrom was sold out of nearly all of the lip products, 1 blush and 2 of the IPPs. Luckily, my MAC store was fully stocked with the exception of Fun and Sexy l/s. I was underwhelmed for the most part (lucky for my wallet!) I have to agree that the lip products were the best of the launch. I am a nude/pale lip kinda girl, so I was immediately drawn to Not So Innocent l/s and Sugar Trance l/g. I love the combo together, and the lipstick is just gorgeous! The beautiful iridescent shimmers did me in! While the other colors were beautiful as well, I passed on those simply because I knew I wouldn't wear them enough the justify getting them. I also picked up Fashion Frenzy Blush, which I can't wait to try. In comparing it to Don't be Shy from Barbie, Pink Swoon and Bobbi Brown Pale Pink, it is definately different enough to get it! It is a beautiful INTENSE pink, and with a light hand, it looks like it give the "just in from the cold" look. I am anxious to try it tomorrow! I am trying to save for future collections so I have been alot more choosy with what I buy. Honestly, I am glad I wasn't wowed with this collection because I am so anxious for Heatherette, but I am very excited about the 3 things I did get.

I tried all those shades that you mentioned, & you're right they still aren't like the Fashion Frenzy shade. FF has slight violet undertones to it which does give that out in the cold look. It's beautiful...hope you like it.

I ordered Fashion Frenzy blush from Nordies today. Hope I like it. I ended up with no lipsticks from this collection - the glitter was just too much for me. Really the only things I ended up liking were Hipness blush, Nice Vice PP and the 210 brush.

I know it will sound strange, but if you tried High Top with So There Jade eyeliner as a lip liner and blended in well THAT would look wonderful as would Slightly Off liner.

I have used aqua shimmer lipsticks for years. They are fabulous if done correctly

Dark liner with High Top completely blows the fragile beauty of it from what I have seen of it.

Magenta liner would be perfect with Fun N Sexy.

I picked up Fun & Sexy at my makeover event today and I love it! I don't know when I'll use it but it's just as its name is. It makes a nice stain too if you layer it on and let it sit with clear/sheer gloss then blot some off (found that out when I tried to take it off before brushing my teeth!). Much easier way to wear it!

I find that the lipsticks just by themselves look gorgeous. I don't see why the lipliners are needed at all. The colors are so sheer that most any lipliner would change the lipstick color so much that there was no point in getting the lipstick anyways. You might as well have gotten a lipstick in the color that the Fafi lipstick + the lipliner would have made.

this is exactly why i don't like lipliners, why buy something if you are going to change the color eventually.
