Hi,

I have 121 colors and all except maybe 7-10 are 3.00 for a 3/8 tsp. On all orders of 3 or more you also get a free color that I pick ( I make it a color tone i'd think you'd like). I keep my shipping as low as possible, anough to cover ship & paypal fee's. I've always given 3/8 tsp, to me a 1/4 isnt quite anough

I dont buy full jars for myself, I have always used samples. since I have so many I have many that have lasted over a year and those are 3/8 size too, lol. The only one I re-fill is vanilla. I really dont feel full jars are partical unless you'll use that color daily. A full jar would last a long time.....

I have a few in the U.K that I've met here

I have international buyers in many differant countries which is so cool.

I tend to get paranoid that sellers will think "why don't you just buy the damn jar?!"

This is why i have 2 sample sellers that i buy from, and would like a third

A sample isnt enough, and a jar is too much IMO. *I should mention i'm in the UK*

My god who the hell would do that? You werent breaking the 'no samples' rule as you werent actually selling samples, and the 'used makeup' rule doesnt apply as they were new. If you cant sell samples because they are not NIB items then why the hell are people selling homemade crap and bare minerals samples?! Used lipsticks are up all the time, why not focus on them ebay? This really pisses me off - honest sellers are so rare, and ebay seems to have a problem with geniune people.

You no what, ebay is really going to lose business and like wolfsong said you didnt break any rules!! This has been happening to full jar sellers for 2 years now off and on. A good friend of mine went through the same thing and that was her only income...it totally messed up her life. Your the 3-4th person I heard this happening to. I do samples and when I need just a few colors I go to full jars sellers (trustful ones) on Ebay. It trickles down to everyone but affects you the most acourse. I'm so sorry your going through this and I bet your right, another full jar seller reported you. Also, the "company" involved have people in specktra, other forums & ebay looking for people who sell what we do.

Christ! Thats the last time i recommend a sample seller - i do more harm than good with it!
I dont think it was a full jar seller, i think it was a sample seller though. It does reek of jealousy - used and sample products are sold ALL the time on ebay, and there have been a few recommended here before that didnt get shut down. Nownowbenice was recommended by a couple of people, plus was mentioned in another thread by me, when the person was trying to decide on colours (they were a customer from her). It sounds like this rubbed someone up the wrong way.

There are many wonderful members (and sellers) on here, its a shame that a few malicious idiots choose to ruin it.

Edit: This wasnt directed at anyone personally (just in case someone turns this into a witch hunt!) - I dont think i have conversed with anyone on this board that does this type of thing, from what i hear they probably lurk around and not post.

the problem is i ebay should pay more attention to the ones that sell the dangerous fake make up, i had 100% feedback all positive and so many repeat customers someone must have been realy fed up that i was selling at good price genuine mac. But there you go there will always be some very nasty people about. I would like to bet the sale of mac goods has gone down since all of the sellers on ebay have been stoped as so many first time mac users bought samples first then went on to buy full size products and try more of the mac range. i know the store i go to all of the m/a on the stand have said things have been much slower and the new ranges dont sell out as fast this summer?? seams like it has had some effect anyone else had similar feedback from mac branch local to them?

I agree with you on that (nnbn) - its a bit daunting for first time MAC customers to buy a full pigment jar when they dont know the product, the brand quality etc (they dont know if it'll be a good investment or if the colour/texture will suit them) - it can also be daunting for people that dont know a lot about makeup, or havent been to MAC before, to go to the store. I think thats why some people order MAC from their site rather than the MAC store.

If MAC doesnt regularly give out samples to people wanting to test pigments (without forking out a fair amount first), and they are too worried about sales to make time for new customers wanting to play with the pigments (i know MAC can be very busy, and most of the makeup artists would do what they can for customers) then what do they expect?

Sample selling (when authentic) IMO boosts MAC's profit. People will usually go to them to buy full size jars unless they are LE/discontinued/HTF, and would most likely buy other products whilst there.
Its the counterfeit sellers that harms their brand - example: you buy a crappy pigment from Asia, either get a bad reaction or find out its of poor quality and thus dont buy the brand again. I have no idea why sample sellers are deemed bad for the company, but the counterfeit ones are thought of as not worth the time/not the brand's business.

I so TA with tyou on the quoted text in red.

I am a MAC newbie and very interested in sampling MAC pigment before buying (or wasting) $$$$ on full sizes. The MAC counter at my local mall does not have alot of staff to help out. (They are either too busy with other customers, on break or off duty, or don't speak english well...)

Your so right, first they hit the sample sellers and then the full size. They took of 99% of the sample ones and left 2-3 able to sell. Like we said, theres someone in both places doing this. When we recommend someone will we have to be careful of the words we use?? We shouldnt have to do that, this is a place that should be worry free and now thats being taken away. I think good sellers need to be mentioned, otherwise how will people know who and who not to go to? It doesnt matter what they sell...

So far everyone I met here have been the nicest and kindest people which is why I love it here. Most of my buyers are now friends....

I think maybe posting a recommendation about what you receive from them (with regards to samples/not full jars) but not adding the name of the seller - instead making it clear that anyone interested can PM you for it. Then you can decipher whether the person interested is genuine or one of these lurking busybodies - its so sad that it may/has come to this though. Dont they have better things to do? (A tad hypocritical when i get involved with the affairs of some counterfeit sellers, but at least i mean well)...

I was thinking the same thing..along with recommending sample or full size sellers here when people ask. Instead of giving their names in the forum PM the person directly. So in either situation, being it a fake seller, a good seller, full size or samples, ect do all recommendations via PM's. Then on for our feedbacks then give the praise/truth....what do you all think???

I think those selling fakes should be named - even if they are selling real as well, unless it is truely a one off incident. This is because many people use the search engine if they want to see if a seller is knowingly selling fakes - i know ive looked for the name of a seller to double check them. If you dont name these sellers then they dont come up in results - and people may take this as meaning they are okay. Also it would mean that you have to PM every person that has written about a bad experience to check you are not bidding for something from them.
Even if its a one off incident then it wont harm them to name names as ebay doesnt do much about fake sellers even when reported a number of times by different ebay members. Also you may find that it isnt a 'one off thing' like what happened with Tamilla (sp?) - Panda mentioned that she has sold fakes to others too, and i and others wouldnt have known this if the name wasnt given.

Full sized sellers cant be kicked off ebay as far as i know, so its okay to name them - but i agree with the sample/not full sized sellers.

Very good point...I agree the fake sellers should be named like you said, otherwise people wont know. Like a few of you know, I buy from new sellers just to find out if they are real or not. Thats one of the only ways I feel I can help to get them off ebay, but like you said, i make sure it wasnt a mistake first. Thanks wolfsong, great point..

Anyone ever bought something from aat_03 (AAT Cosmetics)? He has 100% positive feedback, but i've send him an email twice and 1 week later still no answer. I'm starting to be worried about the pigment i bought
