I have bad good news...the Le Coton pads

- I used one of the strips ( I cut the pad into thirds) with my nail polish remover to remove my nail polish & wow it works so much better. I only had to dip the remover on the pad once & that removed all the np on both hands

that should save a lot of remover as normally I have to dip several times.

oh, Smashbox is showing new product on QVC today @ 3 & 8 est.

Smashbox was acquired by EL -- thus making it a sister of MAC.. they are re-structuring the line, so if anyone likes anything which they love -- buy backups as they may not be around for long.

That's kinda too bad as I do like some of their products, not a lot but I would hate to see them disappear. Maybe they will just rebrand?

Ya, if they bought it out, they probably want to keep the brand going, maybe just operate on a larger scale the way they did with MAC? It was so upsetting though for us here in Canada to see MAC get sold, since it all started right here in TO. Luckily though, the creative direction remained the same iirc.

I also LOVE the RAL's! I just got Phoenix and I highly recommend it! It's this perfect slightly cool bright (but not fluorescent) medium pink. It kind of reminds me of watermelon bubblegum (the kind with the green outside minus the green of course, lol). Love it.

That both totally excites me and makes me frown all at once!

I really hope they bring these back into the perm line, I really want to try some...but only if I know they're always available! With this kind of a staple item, I just can't wrap my head around LE status.

I forgot to check out the cotton pads again when I was at the counter yesterday!

Any of you have the quad, Vanities? It is a purple quad. It has caught my eye as it is repromoted in the current eye make up collection with the duos and the new mascara. Hypathya, I think you may have it.

What are your thoughts about it?

Winthrop, is Paradoxal visibly purple or is it too dark to be seen? Are there any shimmers? I have been staring at the fall promo pic and the girl is beautiful. I love to wear this makeup for fall!

I'm sure they will make the coton pads perm. It seemed at first to be a ridiculous expenditure, but after using them I cannot see myself without them. They totally save on using up your liquid product. Plus, cutting them into thirds saves

Just an excuse to go back & look again.

Paradoxal isn't as dark in person as it comes across in the pics. Yes, you can see the purple when the light hits it. Very subtle shimmer. Its a charcoal dusty greyed mushroom purple looking polish. It def. requires 2 coats - imo.

Oh no!!! I really like that quad too!

The purples look like they're muted just enough not to be overly purple on, and not too red or blue based!!!!

Well, it's that or the misty duo, because I am really lemming a nice purple-y eye for the fall. How did you find the misty duo irl?

I had the Vanities quad, but sold it off because the purples seemed more red-based than I liked, at least on me. It sure was pretty to look at, though!

Completely agree with elegant's description. It's definitely not one of these polishes that looks so dark that you have to stand on your head in the sun to maybe figure out what base color it has - so many are like that! It almost reminds me a little of Shale e/s in nail polish form, if that helps. Here are some good pic from Lina:

Ohh, that polish is so pretty! Kind of an aubergine color. That dusty, greyed violet is my absolute favorite color! I might have to get a couple Paradoxals so that I never run out!!

I walked through the mall today and Nordstroms still didn't have the collection. Then I decided to walk through Saks just to see what's going on in there since I work for that company. I was shocked when I saw the collection! I bought Pink Teaser. It is gorgeous. All sparkly and sexy. Can't wait to wear it. The plum colored blush was so pretty. I will go back for it in the next week or so. Pink Explosion blush seemed so light when I swatched it that I don't know if I should bother, but I probably will since I want a subtle pink blush and not always something as loud as Angelika by Nars.

Coral Love glossimer is gorgeous. It's like Flurry of Fun by Mac w/o the irridescent shimmer. It would look great over something like Thrills. The other glossimers are a skip to me since my lips are so pigmented.

The nail polishes are really nice, but I don't get into Chanel nail polish b/c I'm not a nail polish fanatic. I just use OPI and keep it movin'.

The only lipstick I was interested in was Chalys. It's so pigmented, smooth and gorgeous. A great shade of Coral. This will also look great with Coral Love glossimer.

I'm not interested in the shadows. I have so many Mac, Nars and MUFE shadows of similar colors and I will never run out of them. It would be great for some of you ladies, though. They swatched nicely.

All together, this is an awesome collection with something for everybody. I didn't stay long b/c this lady wanted me to buy everything at once

. I was getting annoyed. I will go back for Coral Love, Chalys and the plum blush (and maybe Pink Explosion

) soon. I don't want to miss out like I did with Genial. Ladies are not sleeping on Chanel anymore!

i've been eyeing on two eyeshadow palette murano and reflect d'ombres but after looking at the enigma (the fall collection) now i want that too. so which one should i get? what do you guys think?

Hopefully the ladies that own the first 2 quads can help you. I only have the Enigma from the 3 you mentioned. If you're a smokey eye girl - this would be great.
