I have La Vie en Rose!! It came out awhile back, and yes, it is gorgeous!! I had forgotten all about it in my recent Chanel/MAC/R&R fog!!

I will post a pic later of the 3 of them (LVeR, HL, PS) -

I'm looking after my dog who got some bad news today - he has a bone tumor and only a few months to live. He's the one that got the 6 dozen cookies awhile back and had to spend time in the hospital. I'm out of my mind, but am settled in my decision about his treatment - we're going to manage his pain until it isn't manageable any more.

So I may not be around as much, although I do find your company very uplifting and something to help me get my mind off things. I am so crazy about this dog - we adopted him when he was 6 (he's 9 now) and though he isn't the friendliest dog in the world, he loves me. I have spoiled him. He 'bays' (I call it woo-wooing) when I prompt him - he even does it when our lab tries to bay - they woo-woo together and I am just doubled over laughing!

So anyway, let me see what I can do about a comparison.......stay tuned.

Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear about your dog.

I strongly feel that we don't choose pets, they choose us. He certainly chose you because he knew you'd love and care for him, especially when he needs it the most...now. I'll be thinking of you, and him.

Thank you girls - you made me cry (not in a bad way) - you are so sweet. My mom told me today to just take care of him as best I can - and that's what I'm going to do.

Ok, that is just unbearable news - I am so sorry to hear that. We all just LOVE our pets so much don't we! I kissed our son's puppy so much before they left, I think I gave it a bald spot

We lost our beloved Lhasa to diabetes just a few short months after our only son left for college. Its sooo hard.

hugs my dear! Maybe sometimes we all have to chat makeup just to keep it light in our lives

OK - here you go - swatches (with a sponge tip applicator for the first 2, a Q-tip for HL - didn't have another sponge tip

) of La Vie en Rose (Too Faced), Chanel Pink Satin, and MAC Hang Loose (the pink side, obviously):

L-R: PS, LVeR, HL

LVeR is the brightest of the 3, HL is the lightest of the 3, and PS is the coolest of the 3.

I hadn't used LVeR yet - must do so soon - it's texture is very nice.

Never too many pink blushes!!!

P.S. Elegant, yes, that was the girlfriend I bought the SR for, but I didn't give it to her - I never got to see her before the 'event'. So now I have a backup.

And your son's puppy is very lucky to have such a great 'grandma' to take care of her - and bald spots are good!

Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes. They mean a lot to me, and I'm very lucky to have you to 'chat' with. Yes, talking makeup does let some light in, doesn't it?

I own nothing TF! Am I going to love this blush? Why do they call it a bronzer - it does not look like a bronzer. I get nervous when I order something site unseen

Is the Chanel PS a dusty/darker pink?

my dog died from bone cancer in her nose last year. this august will 1 year after she's gone. it was the hardest moment in my life & i still can't let it go. she is my best friend & other soul mate. we rescued her from ex neighbor who never fed or treated her with love. just like yours, she wasn't friendly to another dogs (except to my other dog) but was very sweet to people. one day she sneezed & a lot of blood came out of her nose. dr said she got bone cancer. he gave us options, chemotherapy or just medicines. but he also mentioned that chemotherapy may not cure her because she didn't have much time. and it cost a lot money (around $5000 or more). so we decided to give her medicines everyday. it's so hurt to see her sneeze with blood everyday. we took her on the trip cross country because she loved traveling. she passed away 3 days after we went home.
so i know how you feel. it's so hurt. but i hope you are strong. he need you. cherish every moment with your dog & take a lot of pics of him.

Elegant, did you ever get the BB "bronzer" in Maui? It is honestly one of the best pink blushes I own! But ya, it's so not a bronzer!

lol.. I am sorry Elegant! But, I think that you should blame Cheryl though for posting the pic

.. I think you will love it because it is quite sheer yet packed with color -- I swatched it today and fell in love plus it has a slight sheen to it also. This reminds me of the BB "Illuminating Bronzers" which are not bronzers at all and have a tiny tiny bit of luminescense. It should look gorgeous on you

So I went, I saw, I conquered! Actually, not really! I got to see and swatch the fall collection today, but can't purchase anything yet. So far, I have the following put away...

Vert Khaki
Rose Temptation jc
Pink Explosion jc
Pink Teaser
Rose Dilemma

so much for only getting three things! I am also still contemplating Rose Dentelle and maybe Taupe gris.

My thoughts having seen everything today...

Petite Peche was far too sheer. Didn't show up as anything on my hand! Rose Dilemma showed up more than I would've thought, but it's definitely not enough on its own, so I plan on using this for layering. The colour was beautiful though, if Chanel could make a glossimer that colour but actually be pigmented, I would buy several!

My favourite item of the entire collection was Pink Teaser glossimer!!! It is just stunning, and the counter i went to only had three of those!

Vert Khaki also was much nicer irl, looks more green than online, but still not too green.

I actually did like the Enigma quad, but I'm going to wait on this, not sure if it'd work on my skintone.

Pink explosion didn't end up looking as bubblegum pink as i thought it would, so definitely wearable for many skintones imo.

Rose Temptation was the strangest of the bunch, swatched almost plummy on me. This will definitely look amazing on olive skin tones, it had just enough red in it that it shouldn't look ruddy. Perfect for the fall and will look pretty with a nice light neutral pink shade, like modesty creme sheen.

Taupe gris was super pretty too, but like the Enigma quad, not sure if it'll be too grey for olive skin. Need to play with that one more.

So all in all, an interesting collection, it had a lot of variety to it, which was a nice change and there is definitely something for everyone!
