I need to check out this Pink/Rose Satin JC.

Looks stunning.

I'm back from my counter visit!

This fall collection turns out to be all about the blushes for us here. The displayer is gorgeous (I'll upload some pics tomorrow), and among the other products, it has a row of 6 JCs altogether! Another difference is that we don't have Chalys Rouge Coco.

The 6 JCs are:
Plum Attraction (LE)
Rose Temptation (LE)
Pink Explosion (perm, but sold out at two counters when it was just launched yesterday!)
Candy (perm here) (one of my lemmings)
Pink Cloud (perm here)
Tea Rose (perm) (one of my lemmings)

Can't believe PE was sold out and I had to wait for the new stocks to arrive. Well, honestly PE looks amazing so it is no wonder it is sold out. But two days is very fast.

Pink Cloud doesn't look like Narcisse at all. I'm bad at description so tomorrow I will put up comparison pics. Narcisse looks bright, white pink while Pink Cloud is much paler, like a dusty, soft pink peach, and much more shimmery.

So I came back with:

Rose Dilemma

Chintz (couldn't decide between this and Rose Dentelle. Finally, I pinked RD but the MA took Chintz for me by mistake. She noticed it but said since I have lots of pink l/s, I should try Chintz, so I took it instead.

Swatched Petit Peche and Bikini Beach (I bought it in summer) side by side and found PP to be very sheer (great when you just want shimmer) while BB is pinky peach and gives good coverage.

Coral Love is pretty. Is anyone loving it? Will it look pretty over Genial?

My haul consisted of fall collection items only. Misty-Soft was sold out (place my order for new shipment, this always happens, when I've finally decided on it, it is sold out

) and I forgot to get Spices. Decided to pass Blue Satin and Comedia again for the time being.

Awesome haul! I bet you are in 7th Heaven right now!!

I really regret not getting Bikini Peach now. I might have to call around to see if I can track it down!

lol I am the same way, in fact I swapped for a used JC just for the case because I was thinking of trying to depot a JC I had in a tester and putting it into a regular case! Then I decided I didn't want said JC anymore so I didn't bother. Doubt I would've been able to pull it off anyway. The thing that makes me a little nervous about that Pink Satin ebay seller is that I've never heard of a bunch of the JCs she has for sale in testers: Plum Haze, Peach Velvet, Pink Dust, Iced Plum, Rose, etc. Not claiming I've heard of every one ever made, so maybe it's just my ignorance.

Also, I have gotten testers of some older obscure ones over the years from several different people on MUA in swaps and they've all come in this sort of container, which has a clear, square hard plastic lid over it with notches that match on the bottom black portion of the case:

If you look at the smaller pic at that link tho someone else did receive one in the ebayer's packaging - she called it "mysterious tester". I don't know if that refers to the packaging or what she got in it though.

That cake looks very professional. And tasty. I feel sugared out just looking at them

So, I am off to a BBQ, fingers crossed it does not rain. Can I wear smokey eyes to a BBQ?

MissQQ - NICE HAUL, GIRL!!! Wow! Enjoy all of those goodies, and pics sound great! Can't wait!! I'm liking the sound of Pink Cloud again!

The thing that occurred to me about the JCs from ebay, is that it is possible they are working names for blushes that are launched with other names, the same way MAC does. I too tried to google the names and didn't get any hits, but in my mind, I don't really care as I love the blush, and it has great staying power......I believe they are Chanel, just not production ones. The other thing that makes me think that is that I was in contact with the seller, and told her I LOVE Pink Satin, and she said, yes, it is pretty, but she doesn't have it - she has to buy her products retail. So I am thinking maybe there's some kind of link she has to the manufacturer but there's also some sort of agreement in place.....I don't know. But I do love the blush, and ordered a backup.

I finally used Taupe Grise in a look. It's soooooo pretty!! And freaking pigmented, too. I just dabbed the brush in it a tiny bit.

I'm glad some of you are loving Pink Teaser. It's my favorite Chanel glossimer and that's saying a lot.

I was thinking about cassis but I really hate Mac technakohl's so I don't know if I should bother. The color is pretty, but it seems close to two of mufe's aqua eyes. I really want it to work on my waterline so if not, then I'll get the mufe pencil. I just really love buying Chanel, though. Makes me feel all grown. LOL

I just got back from my day of shopping.

Got to see all the duos - they are gorgeous!!! I got the Taupe. It was so hard to decide. I am def. going to get the 30 - dark Blue duo - it is the most gorgeous smokey blue ever. They are are lovely colors. Also got Black Shimmer liner

Gotta go wash my face & I'll be back

I'm wondering the same thing....I didn't really get to swatch these - Nordstrom had a MA there - the display was out, and when I went up to her (I didn't know she was a MA and not a Nordie's employee), she asked if she could help me, and I said yes, I'd like to get the Misty Soft duo. She said, oh, I don't think we have them in stock yet.......

and I looked at her and said, really? And I'm thinking to myself, you're using these on people today (someone had just left the chair) and they're out, and you don't think they're in stock. What is it, a tease?

Is it really that hard to be prepared for customers who are going to want to see the new things THAT YOU'RE USING ON THEIR FACES? I had also had the experience of the COUNTER MANAGER telling me that the Fall collection was for Anniversary and could only be pre-ordered (a few weeks back). I found out later that that was not the case - but I had already ordered what I wanted from other stores (not Nordies). Their loss.

I've got to the point that I have my MAC MA (who is a friend of mine) get my Chanel stuff for me - Chanel's customer service and overall lack of knowledge about products is really starting to annoy me. I'm not trying to be uncharitable, but for crying out loud. They should know SOMETHING about their own products, whether they're in stock, and when they can be purchased.

I didn't compare, but the blue in the duo is more of a Prussian, or deep deep smokey blue - just gorgeous! So is the lighter blue.

Cheryl -- darn it, sorry the makeup artist weren't of more help at the counter today! Don't they know not to stand between a girl and her makeup?? We all know the way to a girl's heart is through those new duos!

I also have Blue Celeste and wonder if I need the blue duo. Their textures are different, the duo being much creamier and smoother. I want Misty-Soft first! Enjoy your Misty, Cheryl!

Thanks, ladies. I'm enjoying my haul by taking photos and staring at them today because I'm staying at home all day and will not put on makeup. Love the rose scent of Pink Cloud!

I have to resist putting my nose to it and taking in all the powder.

Tomorrow I'll be heading out and I can't wait to try some of the new items.

Pink Cloud looks like a more subtle version of Tea Rose.

From left: Jade Rose, Paradoxal, Enigma, Chintz, Pink Cloud, Rose Dilemma, Pink Teaser, Clair, Cassis, and the sharpener which comes with Clair. Love the sharpener. Their lip pencil come with the same sharpener which works perfectly.

Old JC brush VS new, larger JC brush (much better, as the old one is so tiny I can never use it to apply blush properly)

I think I will pass the two e/s singles, but I want PE.

And Candy, and Tea Rose, maybe Rose Temptation too.

I'm addicted to the scent of a fresh new JC.

Oh I am really loving Pink Cloud in your pics Miss QQ! Is it bad that I think I want it but know it won't show up on me?

Interesting that now the JC brushes will be the same in all JCs. That fatter brown one is what we have now too, I guess because all JCs are being made in the same place now so that makes sense. Thanks for the great pics!
