Michelle, I can't figure it out. I wanted to tell the girl that the display wouldn't be out if the stock wasn't in yet. I wanted to say 'are you new?'. It does boggle the mind sometimes, but then again, we have become subject matter experts. And we are WAY more informed. I would just like to see some kind of universal effort on the part of Chanel to make their 'staff' more knowledgeable. It makes me want to start my own 'makeup consultancy' -

I think I might try to head back out to Nordie's today to swatch the blue duo - I'll bring my camera. There's a car show my husband wants to go to, but if the boys don't end up going, I'll probably go with him so he's not alone.

But then I'll go do 'my thing'!

No. There may be some shimmer, but nothing really noticeable. They are mostly just creamy smooth shadows. The lighter sides seem to have more very very subtle shimmer - the very pretty kind.

well, they all are. I haven't heard anything back - but the Chanel dude said that it is not unusual as his contacts are all busy traveling & whatever. But he better be able to get them

I didn't have my camera with me or I would have taken pictures. I don't think the blue duo is like blue celeste quad. I was so surprised to see them out at Nordies - I actually think I squealed a bit

And, I'm mad at myself.... hubby told me to go back & get the other colors that I wanted - but no, stupid me - I was trying to be good. And that was after I told him how much they cost

This morning he said, I told ya so!

And man do I ever hear ya on the MAs

Sorry, you DID say the lighter side. I need to pay more attention when I'm reading

The lighter side of the taupe is really pretty

The MA was showing me the lighter side of the colors paired up with the darker sides of the duos

Like the light pink side of the Berry with the dark side of the blue & on & on. All the duos work really well with each other.

On the Pink Satin blush - I wore it ALL day yesterday & it looked as beautiful at the very end of the day as it did when I applied it in the morning. I am very sure that it is 100% Chanel. The way it looks, wears, etc.

I went to the mall today and walked around to all the department stores just being curious. Nordstoms was the only one I went to and spotted Cassis eyeliner! I asked the MA if they still had it and she said she just got some more in. I was like "Aaawww yeah!".

Let me rewind and say that I played with it first and it was gorgeous. It just glided onto my skin and it's so plummy and gorgeous. I think it looks great on my complexion and can be subtle or built up to be dramatic. Glad I found it and played with it b/c otherwise, I would've passed. Can't wait to use it, maybe tomorrow. I didn't buy my inimitable yet, but maybe soon. Maybe I'll get the new one, I don't know.

Thats waaay cool! It has to look gorgeous on you - the perfect color I think. Did you ask for a mascara sample? I did today - they gave me a tube of the new mascara

So, I went back out today & got the #30 Blue duo

and Rose Temptaion Blush & a bunch of samples of the LR concentrate, the new mascara, LR day cream with the spf

Enjoy your haul - I did not get back to Nordies today - just didn't have enough time. But I am hoping to go swatch some of the other duos - the blue one sounds awesome!

Didn't someone post pics of a new non-Chanel polish in this thread that's similar to Nouvelle vague but a bit shimmery? I could swear someone did but I'm not finding the pic. Am I just going

I don't remember the polish - but that doesn't mean anything

Rose Temptation on me is a beautiful pinkish rose with a hint of mauve. I swatched it like a half dozen times since it came out before I bought it today. I kept thinking that it would be too much of a blah dusty boring pink, but it is really quite pretty on. I would say its a neutral mauve rose pink - very natural pink flush with a rose glow. I am very glad that I got it.

Umm, was it Paul & Joe Mirage? It's a shimmery blue much like Nouvelle Vague, and has an almost jelly-like look to it, as opposed to NV having a more cream-like look.
