hmmm, good question. I have the lip correction in the brown container - it doesn't have a taste/smell.

I think I'm going to pick up both the Rouge Allures and Glossimers. Have you used their powder before? I've been eyeing them but not sure if they're worth the cost. Subscribing to you as well =)

No I haven't tried their powders. I honestly never wanted to spend the money. Maybe if I cut back on my MAC and Nars spendings I could finally

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Does anyone know what Chanel counters' return policy is? I just can't take the perfume scent; it just doesn't fade after a bit like other lippies.
th_confused_new.gif

I bought my Rouge Cocos at Dillard's, which won't take returns of opened cosmetics. And boy, was the cosmetics manager snooty about it! She said that some counters have different policies but didn't know/was unwilling to find out what Chanel's policy was. And the Chanel counter person was out to lunch.

I have to say, this has put me off of buying any Chanel cosmetics ever again.
th_dunno.gif
I know it's not their fault, but now I'm sorry I tried the lippies because it's been so much hassle.

Thanks Shadowy Lady! I can't wait for Nouvelle Vague! It's coming to bloomies NYC in 2 weeks.
Next week the Chanel Paris -Shanghai collection comes out on April 1st.
It will have a Black matte polish, and 2 sheer gold polishes plus gold eyeshadow. From what I hear its a small collection to celebrate the pre-fall show that happened in Dec.

Over the week I found out why there's no eye products on the Summer collection. Here's why:

Each tube of a Rouge Coco costs the same as Rouge Allure in my country.

How do you find them? I saw them at my counter on thursday, but didn't care so much for them.

What powder are you referring to??

I love all the ones I've tried before.

The loosen, both universelle and crystaline, are actually perfect!! I have really large pores and it gives my complexion it's best look. Besides I love universell because, as it's colored, helps me to match my foundation better.

The Poudre Douce is an extra finely milled highlighter. It gives a perfect look, not too obvious, but really makes you glow. There are tone corrector shades in this one!!

The mat lumiere compact it's actually a foundation, pretty good coverage. It can be used wet and that's what I use to touch up during the day.

Sorry for the extra long post... I've been absent for too long!!

I already want Nouvelle Vague, and after seeing the swatches on All Lacquered Up, I actually like Mistral a lot! Silver micro glitters and pink are irresistible combination for me!

I want to see how the silver in the duo is different from the one in Smoky Eyes, which I own.

The tattoos are pretty and in black and white only. The pearls are pretty and since I don't own any Chanel pearl necklaces yet, these tattoos are good to look at for me. It is good that you didn't care so much for them, as they are pricey for a set of temporary tattoos.

I have Almond poudre douce, LE from fall 2008, and I really like it. The texture is amazing but Almond is shimmery so I have to be careful and not over apply. I have been wanting to try the non shimmery beige shade from the perm line.

Hmm, this looks interesting.... a new boutique-only collection apparently.
BritishBeautyBlogger: Chanel Limited Edition: Chanel Orient Extreme

By the way - has anyone tried the pressed version of the Poudre Universelle? I'm looking for a new face powder and this one seems to have good reviews. Also, anyone know if it comes in a range of shades? I'm medium-toned (NC30), so "universal" shades in general tend not to work on me. TIA!

I was drooling at Orient Extreme last night! Everything looks amazing and I am tempted to get the whole collection, if I can get my hands on them. Wonder how Gold Lame compares to Gold Fiction, which I have.

I have the pressed powder in 20 clair and it works for me. I finished up the whole compact, and now I'm using the loose version.

I don't personally own it but I've used shade 20 Clair (as part of a makeover) and it worked great on me. I have light medium complexion, neutral to cool undertones (NW25).

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

I did end up getting Camelia last week and wore it yesterday. The colour is beautiful, a slightly corally pink with a sheen, covered well. But I must say this one didn't last near as well as Mademoiselle did on me. Could've been because I applied it straight over lip balm, but it didn't apply quite as creamy, so there does seem to be a variation in the formula. I've also decided to exchange Muse for Ruban Rose. Why i didn't pick this up with my first haul is beyond me!

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

Maybe they wear differently because Mademoiselle is more matte and Camelia has shimmer in it? I was attracted to Ruban Rose initially when I saw online swatches but then I read comments about it being a cantaloupe color with white frost that made me shudder! I'd love to see more pics if you get it...and hear more about what you think of it once you wear it a bit.

I have this in Translucent 1 and really like it. It helps to control shine while not looking powdery. The texture is very fine. I am NW20.
