Same here. I recently splurged and upgraded my glasses to a very cute Chanel pair. But that was really an exception for me, anything beyond would be daydreaming! Plus, I always prefer buying makeup over clothes ;-)


Last weekend I finally got around to buying some single eyeshadows, which I've been meaning to try for a while. I got Safari and Cinnamon. I like them both, they're very soft and blend well - but Cinammon doesn't really seem like a dark enough crease colour for my skintone. So I might get Magic Night as well.
I'm going to Paris on Friday so somehow it seems like the perfect excuse to buy more Chanel (even it's just a little piece!) Hooray for duty free.

I know there was talk of the aqualumiere sheer lipcolour earlier. I own one at the moment (Panarea), but wanted recs for a light beige/pink or nude shade. Any recs?

I desperately want new Chanel goodies, especially Super l/s and the nailpolishes (Illusion D'or and Nouvelle Vague atleast, Mistral and Riviera are also calling my name)!

I just have no idea when/if they appear here.

I just looked too! That is the silliest thing I've ever seen.

Oh well I guess we can take some comfort in the idea that their swatches are useless anyway. We may complain about MAC's swatches or descriptions from time to time but the truth is MAC spoils us compared to most companies when it comes to swatches and they're the only company I buy from that provides descriptions!

Gorgeous! She is also wearing Rose Petale and Mythic. I have a test card of Mythic and it is a nude that I can wear without looking pale and sickly! I want Rose Petale now to create the look!

I can never choose which makeup I want by looking at the Chanel swatches.

Arlight, well... I seriously need to get myself on a no-buy now! I caved and picked up Nouvelle Vague and an Aqualumiere in Como.

The SA today said that the Aqualumiere's are on their way out, though she is not sure if it's because they are being re-formulated or just discontinuing them completely.

She wasn't entirely sure, but to her, it appeared that they're going to discontinue the lipstick. Didn't say anything about the glosses though.

Mythic is my best nude too, it looks so natural and pretty - not that ugly concealer-type-nude!

I bought some Chanel when I was at Heathrow airport. I got a hydrating and firming (yeah right..

) body lotion, Hydramax moisturizer for face, the eye makeup remover that I think it's the best and a mousse cleanser which I haven't tried before as I've used the cleansing milk they do. I love Chanel!

Mmm, I thought I read somewhere (maybe even further back in this thread?) that the new Rouge Cocos were replacing the Aqualumiere lipsticks..

I am craving some new glossimers - at the moment I don't have any as I finally used up my Spark, which I love.

Isn't it sad??? True make up addicts have tons of pinks or any other color, eyeshadow, lippie, you name it. If it was only pink, we wouldn't get that much items, it's the slight difference among them that make us get them... So why not to tempt us with better swatches and descriptions!! This is all about eyelove and lust

Aqualumiere being discontinued... I don't know. It's strange to me, they been releasing lots of Aqualumiere gloss shades lately and they love the sense of same name in different presentations... Ireelle blush, eyeshadows, eyeshadow duo, for instance. Maybe they'll keep the Aqualumiere glosses and get them their original name "Crystalle gloss".

We'll see...

Malta sounds pretty, I'll have to go back and have a look! Personally, I hope they reformulate the aqualumiere l/s so that they're more consistent with their pigmentation. I noticed that some are extremely sheer compared to others. I do realize they're supposed to be on the sheer side, but honestly, some are basically glorified lip balm, which to me is not worth the money they charge!

I also wanted to have a look at Seashell glossimer today (and likely would've purchased it), only to be told that is a shade only available in the U.S. It is so frustrating for us here. The sales associates at the counters here always boast the fact that we have the same product line that is available in France, but there's been so many instances that I've wanted something only to be told "sorry, we don't have that here"!

Elegant, so glad you're back! I was getting worried there too. I will definitely let you know on Super! I was also ready to use Mistral yesterday, got the nails all prepped. But as is often the case, by the time I got things cleaned up and the kids ready for bed, I didn't have enough time to allow polish to dry, so no go!

Ahh, I just bought the Dragon and Coromandel Laques last week, but I saw how cute Genial looked in the models of the Chanel Paris show and splurged on that too. Can't say I regret it...
