Does Chanel have any products for the crepey-ness of the eye area?

Yes, I think so, although I feel that I may use a little more of it to get everything off. That is one of the things about the Chanel that I did notice (& was Chanel's selling point) is that I didn't lose lashes - maybe 1 every now & then but def. not like I did with other removers. And for me, I believe it left my lashes more conditioned & not so dry.

I don't know if there is something specific for crepey skin? Maybe if you call Chanels 800 number they could tell you.

Uh-oh. I only finished getting my summer items two weeks ago!

So a quick make-up related semi-rant. I went to the GA counter yesterday and picked out a pretty light pink gloss with green/teal shimmer in it. So excited about using it. Got it home, and there was a really boring peach gloss in the box. Called them up, they said it was likely that instead of getting the Midnight Shimmer gloss in #1, i was given the lip shimmer in #1. No problem, I'd bring it back for exchange today. Nope, can't because that item is discontinued now. Alright I said, but is there any left, since the tester is on display. None left, n'or at the other store. Fine, I decide to go today and pick out another colour. What irked me though, is that damn tube of gloss that is no longer available is still on display! Not one, not even two of them, three of them, all out on display!

Can they call another store to see if they might still have it? That would tick me off too.

2 other things

I love & use Chanels Body Excellence Firming Moisture Milk. The smell is divine. I got a sample bottle of it & loved it then bought a full size from a reputable seller on Ebay for a pretty decent price.

Secondly, one of my new found (this last year) best beauty tips - Flax Oil!
100% organic pure unfiltered, cold press, Omega-3

I'm really into eating healthy & lots of exercise, so this is a great health find for me. This oil is liquid & kept in the refrigerator - I squeeze it on my salads. It is so good for your hair strength & shine, nails, skin etc.

Hmm, I need to start shopping for a new brand!
I also wonder if it can be caused from eye makeup removers??

I hate that Milia crap! I was told a while back that any eye creams/treatments with mineral oil in them will cause Milia. Needless to say, I don't use anything with mineral oil anymore. I just started using Kinerase's Intensive Eye Cream this week. So far I like it...we'll see how it goes!

For those who use the Inimitable Mascara, I need some info!

There are 2 colors that look black, what's the difference between Noir Black and Noir Obscur? I'm looking for the blackest black color and not sure which to get.
th_dunno.gif

Also, if anyone has tried both...which formula do you prefer, normal or waterproof?

That baby blue nail lacquer looks so pretty! I just got a similar shade from Color Club, but I'm thinking Chanel's version looks even more delicate and light/airy. That might have to be my very first Chanel nail lacquer!

I got a sample of the Inimitable Noir Obscur with my last order from Chanel.com It didn't work for me -- for some reason it clumped up on my lashes.
ssad.gif
It says on the tube it is for volume, length, curl separation. I'm not sure how it compares to the Noir Black.
I noticed on your avatar is says you are from CO. There is a chance we may be moving there. If so, I'll have lot of questions for you!

I've read good things about Chanel's body stuff. I want to try to cellulite lotion (who doesn't want to help control that?!). I've never tried any cellulite products. I know they probably don't have a long-term effect, but even a short-term effect would be okay for me, especially in a bikini! My thighs seem to collect more cellulite over the years

Oh yeah - I definitely will be getting that baby blue nail polish! Does anyone else notice that late 90s nail polish trends seem to be coming back? It seems like there weren't any blues, greens, aquas, etc. since then, but they are all coming back! I remember in grade 6 baby blue nail polish was the colour to wear!

Well, first I asked about the discont'd product and whether the other store had it. He said they didn't. As for the one that still available but their oos, I had to suggest to him to check with the other store. He said he would & get back to me, but never did. I called myself later on and they had one left of each, the discont'd & the other one I picked out. They're on hold for me!

I remember when Hard Candy first came out with the pastel blues and greens. That was around the early to mid 90's. Then the mainstream companies picked up on it!

I also remember when Chanel's Vamp n/p first came out. It caused quite the stir at that time!

^^ Yeah I've heard of the Vamp stir!

I want the pale baby blue n/p too although I worry that it may make my skin look sallow.

I tried the sample of both before. The MA told me Noir Obscur is a blacker black than Noir Black. Noir Obscur was released to complement the Obscur collection last year, the one with the black lippies and black e/s palette.

Unfortunately, Inimitable doesn't work for me. My lashes get clumpy and straight. It does not lift or curl my lashes at all even after I curl them with a curler. I love Exceptionnel! I don't have to use a curler and it curls my lashes!

But not until PhD.

But still, I can always use some good eye cream. Thanks for the description of the eye roller and patches! I tried Eye tonic at the counter on my hands and it felt good, very luxurious, like it had some effect.
lol.gif
I also tried the Garnier one but like what you said, it didn't feel like anything at all.

I had a sample of the eye patches without the roller, I think maybe it was the one that was discontinued. It felt good too! After I peeled the patches off, my undereyes felt soothed, smooth and supple. It brightened my undereyes and the fine lines disappeared.

And I'm so excited! The Orient Extreme collection has launched at only two of the Chanel counters in my country! It was launched today and I just got to know it and immediately called to have one of each item reserved for me.
yahoo.gif
I will pick them up tomorrow. Definitely be buying Illusion D'or, and maybe the eyeshadow/eye liner palette. Anyone of you have Gold Lame? How does it compare to Gold Fiction? I have Gold Fiction and wonder if I need Gold Lame. As for Black Velvet, I will decide once I see it. If it is very matte, then no.

Well, I don't know if I was disciplined, but when I have work and deadlines... nothing stops me to deliver. Anyway, the lack of sleep had it's consequences... my nerves cracked badly and triggered agoraphobia, lost sooo much weight I looked like anorexic... in the end it wasn't worth it for something I even didn't cared much...
cry.gif
So I left physics and there hasn't been a day I regretted that decision.
greengrin.gif

Those patches that used to came without the roller were really good. I used them before they were replaced by the ones with the roller.

So exciting you're finally getting Orient Extreme!!

I swatched Gold Lamé and have Gold Fiction. I never felt it was necessary to have both.
th_dunno.gif
Gold Lamé it's a toned down pinky version of GF... it felt like something I've seen before... Must try it yourself and make your own mind!!

Black Velvet it's definitely not matte... but definitely not lustre. It's a very unique texture!!

Seriously, I've done enough damage lately collecting glossimers and JCs.....I'm curtailing the 'investment' for a bit - maybe getting just one duo, then the JCs and glossimers with the fall collection......and very little MAC. Must......find.......discipline!!

The duos look really creamy and smooth in the swatches of the chinese blogger too! I put the link here again for anyone who wants to drool over them (me actually).

CHANEL 2010 ???? ???? & ????????? & ??? @ Yuki's Lazy Channel :: ??? PIXNET ::

Today when I was at the counter for Orient Extreme, the very nice MA told me that the new mascara will be arriving next month. She didn't mention the duos so I didn't ask too, but I'm guessing they will all be launched next month! I'm likely to pick up Taupe or Misty, and maybe the eye lash curler. Thanks for the info that the duos will be perm!
thmbup.gif

I was bad today and bought all three of the n/p and the eye liner and gold e/s. You are spot on with the description of the n/p! I like Gold Lame more than Gold Fiction, so I caved. Illusion D'or is stunning! The pink flakies hypnotise me. I love Black Velvet, so happy that it is not matte but rather jelly-ish matte. The MA had Black Velvet on, with half of each nail topped with Illusion D'or. I'll be doing that, as well as what I see at this blog, but these are challenging! I cannot paint with my left hand.

The gold e/s has pink and gold shimmer, which is not captured in the pics. Stunning IRL!

Yes this thread is hurting my wallet! I have always been buying Chanel makeup but am buying much more now because there is lots of recommendation here. Plus, I have just met a great MA at my usual counter! She has very good customer service and also very knowledgeable! Best MA I have ever met! But the MAs get rotated to other counters every few months. It is quite annoying but this happens at most of every brand of makeup counters in my country.

What about Enigma, Shypo?

I need it.
