- I liked yours so much I knew there had to be a way to get a different template, so I did some poking around on free template sites - this one jumped out at me after I had been through about 400 different ones (it didn't take a ton of time, but I was getting bored

Me, too! I was just so excited to get it up and start posting that I didn't want to waste too much time picking out a background. I may start poking around for a new template, though...find one that will let me post larger pictures.

Yeah, I need to test that myself - I haven't worked up the nerve for pictures yet - I'm not the greatest photographer. I plan to post some haul pics at some point, and maybe an FOTD or something - I'm not sure if my current template will allow that, but we'll see when I get there. By then it may be time for 'version 3'

I'm pretty computer illiterate, so this is all new to me. Fortunately DH is versed enough in this stuff that I can go to him for help.

I have lots of posts planned for the next several days...and plenty of sunshine is planned in the forecast so lots of swatching to do!

Girls, I am getting scared. My wallet has gone into hiding. I was just looking over Chanel swatches and I feel myself getting weak. I have had just a tiny taste of Chanel with their nailpolishes, but SO many of the glossimers look like colors I'd LOVE, and a few of their quads too. I am so overwhelmed though... where do I even start?

I am afraid it will be a slippery slope!

Oh, girl, it IS! You have to pace yourself!! We'll all have recs depending on what you're after - and you can get away with a few basics based on the MAC colors you already have.

I'm a huge glossimer fan - I like them better than MAC l/g, but

one is the price of 2 l/g! If I had to pick one to recommend, it would probably be Mica, given its versatility and pinkiness.

Hypathya and Elegant are the gurus of this thread - but we all jump in as we're all pretty much addicted......

Other than the skin care which to me is so worth it, I'm verrry selective (because of chanel's price tag). Its like getting a treat.

Chanel has such beautiful soft classic shades that of course are right up your alley.

I went swatching at Chanel today

I fell in love with Heather Rose. Last time, I swatched it in Macy's, this time I swatched the new es in Dillards & the colors were a little different because of the lighting. Heather rose seemed a tad more on the light violet rose mauvey side - but I thought it was so beautiful. Of all things, I loved Vanilla too (not like we all don't have 21087537 es that shade. But, the texture was so dreamy & it looked lovely with HR. No tester of the Deep Taupe (I wasn't allowed to touch the one he pulled out of the drawer)

but it would be great with HR & vanilla - it should've been a quad.

I wore In Love blush -

that blush is so feminine beautiful on.

Oh good, Mica was one that caught my eye. I preordered the fall nailpolish the other day, but didn't stick around long enough to play... I really should have, but maybe it's better that I didn't. LOL!

Elegant, you know me and my taste so well. That is exactly why I am being drawn to the Glossimers especially. I saw a FOTD posted on another board using the Bleu Celestes Quad from the Spring 2008 line, and saw that it is available on the Chanel website... knowing nothing about Chanel, it may be permanent now. But anyway, I just loved the soft, elegant look, and now I want it. BAD.

Mica is the best! Its so beautiful & yes, that would be an Audrey color. I LOVE it. It was one of the first shades I bought.
I think Nora - stv578 just tracked that quad down - like insanely tracked it down. I think that was the one.

Ooooo, sounds pretty! I'll have to give these another go - the display at Macy's is in a very wierd spot and the lighting is awful. I'll check them out at Nordie's Thursday when I go in for my TTB haul - HR was my first swatch too

- I'll have to check the finish on Vanilla (yep, I have about the same number of shadows in that color, but I am ALWAYS open to new ideas, especially if the texture is divine!).

cooties - because they didn't have one in the displayer unit, he just opened a new es. So , I guess he didn't want to make that a display es

I should have just stuck my finger on it before he said anything - then it would've become a display es

Oh yes, Elegant and Sypho, I've been meaning to tell you something awesome. The Chanel primer that I use, I think is clearing my skin up. Granted, I only had a few blemishes anyway from Mac founadtion I tried 2 years ago, but they seem so much lighter, almost invisible. It wasn't until a few days ago that I realized I needed much less concealer. I think it's thanks to the primer along with the neutrogena scrub that I use religiously every morning. I cannot ever be without this primer.

Also, Temptalia has pics from the fall collection. Everything looks great. Still don't have my first Chanel quad yet, but I'll work on that. I want another blush. I am so in love with Imprevu, still. I have to pry it out of my own hands and use my In Love blush.
