What do you think of it after wearing it a while? Are you using it under the eyes or elsewhere?

I know, it did seem like a really long wait!

Just ever so slight creasing after quite a few hours. So, that disappoints me a little. But I really really love how it feels on - it feels like nothing. I love how it lightens & looks natural. It really does cover using even just a little bit. Much lighter feel than MUFE

I have this older Almay waterproof concealer that simply was THE best concealer ever ever made (long discontinued) I shouldn't even be using anymore - but I love it so much

Nothing else wears like it.

Shypo ordered it too, so I can't wait to see what she thinks of it.

I bought another sun hat at Nordies - #4 this year. It's looks very Audrey Hepburn. I'm really into them this summer.

My Chanel es just shipped from Neimans - woot!

Enjoy your new gloss! I resisted Futile successfully so far!

Chanel polishes - worth it or not?

So far, I've managed to resist building a collection, but lately I'm feeling the urge to buy more and more. On the other hand, MAC has some similar colours. What is everyone's opinion?

I have yet to try a Chanel polish, but I see that changing very soon. Hello pretty pale blue polish we've seen in pictures, I'm lookin at you!

I know there are quite a few around here who have several however, and I'm sure they can give you some info and opinions soon.

I have a whole bunch of them and some stay on great, some not so much. Apparently NV is a bit bitchy in the application, but I will try tonight

In general I am someone whose nail polish never stays on longer than 2-3 days, OPI being worse.

But all the colours I have are *gorgeous*.

So, it depends, like with all brands I think. I was never disappointed buying them.

The new smashbox waterproof concealer! It feels like nothing on! but covers soooo beautifully. The light is verrry light, so you only need a tad. Now to just wait to see how it wears throughout the day.

Cheryl with the hard CH - did you get yours

What is Futile?
Sounds like I'm answering a Jeopardy question

LOL!!! No, I haven't yet received it (nor have I received my 'Dreams' quad from evilbay seller

) - I can't wait to try it out!!!

Futile is gorgeous!!......

And in my cleaning out, I discovered a secret stash of glossimers *SQUEE!!!*......I had no idea I had these.....must have been 'whim' purchases that got forgotten in the throes of other things, and before I became a Chanel hound.
icon_eek.gif
I found Crybaby, Soda, Bubbles and a few others (when I get home tonight I'll get the names). What was I thinking??? I mean, they're BRAND NEW!

I was so ecstatic!!!

whoa baby!!!! What a find eh? My stash is similar
th_dunno.gif

ok, now I will be on the prowl for Futile - it never ends! Did you email the evilbay person?

I would give the smashbox concealer 4 stars. I ended up still really liking how it looked on at the end of the day.

Emailing her today. I know it's coming from Hong Kong, but I ordered something from Strawberry.net and got it within a week.

Hope my concealer comes today!!

I think Futile is still on Nordie's site - and in a few stores -

Yes - the colors are so beautiful! Some may not stay nice as long as OPI but I'm over all really happy with the ones that I own.

That was fast

Maybe you'll get both today. I really cannot wait to hear what you think of the concealer.
I need to search out some swatches of Futile - I have no idea what it looks like?

So, what color is Futile?

Re: Chanel Discussion & Must Haves

The department store is having a sale and I have a coupon where I get $5 off for minimum spending of $30. I'm thinking of getting one Chanel item, maybe Mistral if there are still stocks, or a glossimier, like Futile. But I'm not really craving for a glossimier at the moment as I'm still enjoying those I bought in May.

The Sublime mascara is up on the Chanel (Asia English) website. It says it is specially developed for Asian women. I hope I can get a sample to test it out when I next purchase something. It is waterproof though, and I don't like removing waterproof mascara as my lashes drop a lot. But it sounds promising.

Hmm Smashbox concealer...

That is one brand I've never tried for undereye concealers. I have the worst undereye circles and it seems like every concealer on earth either doesn't cover enough or covers but is too obvious (caking, dryness, creasing, settling in lines). I feel like I will be looking for my perfect concealer forever! Elegant - I believe you have the Cle de Peau concealer - what do you think of that? How does it compare to Smashbox? Have you ever tried any of the Chanel concealers? Right now I use the highlighter pen in beige rose. It doesn't quite cover enough but it covers more than other highlighter-type concealers and the pinky tint seems to help reflect light.

Oh, that is me dear! Why can they not make THE perfect concealer for all the reasons you listed above - Pleeease!

Yes, I have the CDP concealer - I like it, but the long wear factor is just ok for me. I layer - BE bisque & then either the old Almay waterproof concealer (i love this concealer its so perfect for people that have issues like you & me) or the MUFE waterproof or/and Lift concealer.

Chanel did not have a concealer light enough for me
th_dunno.gif

I still may at some point try that La Mer.
But, the smashbox waterproof long wear is actually really good with the coverage without cakey, heavy feeling - very very light weight. Its not that expensive either - 23$ I think

I want to put it on & it STAYS put! Waterproof is the only way to really get that. The older disc. Almay is the only concealer that I have ever used that once you put it on it would stay perfect for a week if you didn't take it off! Yeah, that good. I need the waterproof too, because I wear contacts, & everything else seems as though it smears my lenses after awhile

I agree, I've had a few that chipped far too quickly, but most that stay on great. I've also had better wear using a good base and top coat. I do find that Chanel polishes for the most part have better coverage and apply a bit thicker but not goopy, which I like, and ya, the packaging is nice! As with other high end products, if I splurge on an expensive polish, I'll only get one or two, but if I walk into Sally's, I can easily walk out with five bottles of polish!

Isn't it great! I discovered a Cle de peau gloss that I splurged on a couple of years ago when cleaning out my traincase last month!
