Hmmm, I think they'd give you a hard time. I was told that I could return something if I had a reaction to it, but otherwise, no. They will exchange something that hasn't been used though.

I haven't been to a MAC Class, so I don't have any idea what to expect from a Chanel one. I figure it's standard to at least purchase something, so I'll probably snag the Mystic quad. Figure that ought to be enough for their time and the free brunch.

I just had an opportunity to quickly run through some of the posts I missed....

Elegant, I'm glad you got Stresa!! It is SO pretty, and I'm considering getting a backup since these are being discontinued....it's one of my favorite AL colors!

And speaking of Audrey, I think she may have splurged on the MAC TTB, so may be postponing her glossimer purchase

but hopefully she'll be back here soon!

Karin, I'm checking out the Paul and Joe Beaute - it's pretty. I had a couple of their shadows from when Sephora sold them - I wasn't that crazy about them because I found them hard to work with (and also because the colors weren't what they appeared to be online), but I'm wondering if the formulation has changed. On the site I visited, the textures look different than the ones I have, so I'm considering trying a couple more. I reall like the light purple/dark purple spring shade of the eye/face color (Purple Clover) and a couple of the single colors....yikes. I need this like a fish needs a bicycle.

I guess I got lucky. I remember returning a couple Benefit items once because I didn't like them. I also returned a Dior mascara (to a different Bay). I just said "it didn't work for me" in both cases. Come to think of it, I do think Chanel might have said I could return "if you react to it". I suppose you could just say that you reacted to something! Maybe Chanel is more strict than the other counters. But I would think they would all have to have to same return policy so that the Bay is consistent.

I think that most places in Canada don't do returns... unless you have a reaction.

The States is incredibly easy-going with returns, but not here. Sephora is wonderful that way but we have to be careful something that was used and returned was not put back on the shelf.

Are Chanel eye palettes worth it? What if you have hundreds of MAC shadows - is a Chanel eye palette still worth it? Is it so much better and unique?

Ahhh, that's why I had a hard time finding it! Wow, now I'll have to hunt for a backup of it because its so pretty with everything.

Oh, I just ordered 2 boxes of the Le Coton

eye pads. They sold out already on the Chanel site. Neimans has the picture but you cannot order them so....I remember that the lovely winthrop told us that we could order from the Vegas store using any credit card - so they are shipping them from a store closer to me so that I do not have to pay shipping. yay!
I can't believe I'm getting these

I do not understand why Chanel would make a staple product LE - what!???

I only have 3 but I love all of them. You really need to test the colors in person I think.

OK, you'll have to let me know how you like them......I pamper myself with so many products I don't think I can justify these to myself, but I have certainly caved before!

Limited Edition - I think someone said that they're testing them to see if they'll catch on and then add them to the line permanently if they're a hit....unless I dreamed that whole post.

It's too bad Canada has such a lousy return policy in general - but it certainly makes you more selective about what you buy.

I have several of the quads (I've been collecting them for many years) and I like some more than others - I posted a few pages back that I like the quads because they're 'grab and go' on my workdays - I don't have to think about what colors I want to put together. I love MAC for my creative days and when I have more time to be an 'artist'. The quads are a good investment, and the good news is, there's aren't gazillions of them to choose from.

Hypathya also has the collection to end all collections, and she loves them - I'm sure she'll weigh in on them!

I promise

that if I love them, I will not try to talk you into them

If I can, I'm planning on cutting them in half to get more uses, I wouldn't think you need a whole darn pad but we'll see.

My counter was sold out of Futile

I gotta try a different counter this weekend. I didn't wanna waste time looking around today coz I wanted to be home on time to watch the FIFA games

I did a look with Orchidee today, I really like this shade. You can make it bolder by adding a red or coral liner.

Honestly, yes. Not sure I'd say any eyeshadow is unique, for brand, but... they last really well through the day compared to most of my other shadows and you can apply them wet if you want the colour to be more intense, or apply them sheer if it's that kind of day. I also like the convenience of only pulling out one quad and have the coordinating colours if I'm low on time, most of them allow for a "complete" look. And ya, the packaging is lovely!

I haven't seen the tester for Futile at a few counters in my area, so I'm guessing a lot of places are sold out.

The purple one and the cream one are the shadows I got.

Of course I had to get the cream one with the kitties on it!

OK, now I am hooked on the RA Laques....I've got Dragon and Phoenix on my list.....eek. I wish they made more colors (did I just say that?) - they're just repromoting these 2 and Ming with the Fall collection.....my wallet is hiding from me.

Really? Where are you in Canada? Maybe it's different in different provinces. I really have never had a problem with returns to all the major makeup stores - Shopper's, The Bay, MAC, Sephora. I've even returned makeup to Holt Renfrew. I've never had to say that I had a reaction in any of those places. I was returning because the products didn't live up to my expectations/I just didn't like them.

Oh yay, I'm so glad someone is getting these!! I actually really want them, but don't really have any way of accessing them. Hopefully they are as divine as they sound!

Futile is still on the US Chanel site and also Nordstrom online. Is it sold out on the Canadian site?

I did a pedi with Nouvelle Vague today and on my skintone...when I look down at my feet I feel like I'm looking at myself on a slab in a morgue.

Seriously, it makes my feet look a cold blue. Next! On a brighter note my Nordstom is sending me Venus glossimer from another store.

ETA: Just saw that Chanel has free shipping thru 6/20! I wonder if that means they're about to put the fall stuff up?

We can't order from the Canadian site! We can only look at all the products!!!

Too bad NV didn't work, didn't do anything for me either. I have a deep shimmery ocean blue from OPI, which is about the only aqua blue I can pull off. Oh well...

I agree!!! I love the colors, the way they feel & wear. More colors would be wonderful
