MAC By Request discussion

They do! Nordstrom's is, and I guess I could order most of my MAC stuff from them, but the shipping is slower. 

I always seem to get my Nordstrom orders really quick! MAC seems to take forever though. It's usually a week for MAC with standard shipping and Nordstrom, if I order on a Monday or Tuesday I get it "for early delivery" on a Friday! I got a cold sore starting this morning luckily I didn't wear any lip products yesterday because I rushed out the door! None today either, and definitely don't want to ick up any lip stuff until I'm sure it's gone. I'm a little bummed, though, now when I get my CYY & co. on Monday, I'm gonna have to wait to try them on! Oh well! Fortunately this is a once-in-a-blue-moon occurrence! I'll just stare at them and admire the lipsticks from a distance lol.

On a positive note, I'm down to about a third of Double Dare, Star Quality and Strictly Plutonic since I've worn them to death on vacation this month. My goal is to finish all three by September. I have two less than a year old l/g that are already getting funky so I no longer want to own many of these.

I think I need to put myself on some "goals" to get things finished. Last time I counted my lipsticks was last summer sometime and I had around 70 so no telling the number now.

I'd say "Media." Think of it as a matte version, with more of a red than red-brown tone that media has.

For me it is in between Darkside and Media ... Midtone to those or on the same darkness/tone of media, but the red comes through more than brown...

Maybe also if Media and Runway Red had a baby... I think Rocker would be it.

I dig it.

You look absolutely gorgeous, and did you line the Cyy with anything? or is that jsut the contrast of your cam making it look dark?

The day I got my cyy I just happen to go into hot topic and they had a lip liner that was neon pink...I couldn't see what it looked liked but for 3 bucks...why not...BUT I was VERY happy that it is an almost exact match for it...U obviously have great taste per screen name!

I wore CYY today at work and it actually isn't NEONish for me. Perhaps because I'm used to wearing bright colors such as Force of Love and Dear Diary. It's beautiful on and it very wearable on me. The only difference between Dear Diary and CYY on my pigmented lips is the finish but other than that my husband couldn't even tell the difference. (I'm NW 10)

Oh the lipstick I'm wearing on avatar is Dear Diary. Excuse the quality it was taken on my cell.

I got Rocker today, tried it on and I'm barely getting time to post some pictures. I hope I'm doing the color justice! I had to do a few swipes to get an even application because I put it on while the tube was still sweating so it slipped.

Since I don't get a Pro discount, I order almost all my MAC stuff from Nordies. Not only do I get to use ebates, I think their warehouse must be on the west coast, b/c like duckrodeo, my Nordies orders get here SUPER QUICK and I'm left waiting FOREVER for anything I order direct from MAC. Still sad that it's taking over a week for my Moxie to get here!!!

Speaking of transportation accidents, I got my Nordstrom delivery once (Tres Cheek blush) when a U-Haul pulled up to my house. I was kinda afraid to answer the door, I didn't know who it was He said his truck broke down. I think it was Fed-ex and not UPS.

We were comparing CYY to WnW's Dollhouse Pink and according to my little swatch (I haven't tried the new CYY on my lips yet) DHP is lighter and brighter than the new CYY. DHP is more baby dollish imo and probably looks more like the old CYY. I don't know for sure though since I don't have the old CYY.
