Yesssss Sweetness too but I can't help whipping out a shiny black blush compact with Fafi written over it. It makes me look cool

I've just tried every shadow over Rollicking. Well, it's too blue base for green ones

A quick eye I did just now with Cool Heat, ugh I had such issue resizing it with photobucket, it was resized over there but on here it was posting it HUGE. The colors look so washed out compared to in iphoto too, my eye looks green! I swear it's blue!
tong.gif
Ugh it's so much darker and vibrant IRL.

Anyway, It's Otherworldly paint pot as base, Warm Chill inner half of lid, Gulf Stream outer half, Cool Heat in crease, Deep Truth in crease and brought under. Then Gulf Stream and Warm Chill underneath as well, with Solar White as the highlight and inner corner.

Yeah those sound good, I think I'm going to need a white base for this one. I never return stuff so that's not an option. It will work for me whether it likes it or not!

^ Gah I can't get over how different my eye looks IRL from that picture lmao, it's sooo much darker. In iphoto and preview it looks close, why does it get so dull when you upload it to photobucket??

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

so i did some swatches of warm chill. yeah, it barely shows up if you pat in on without a base. i think the only reason i got it to show up in my previous swatch was because i used a q-tip @ the mac counter. it does show up however w/ beige-ing s/s
heart.gif
. it looks better irl, my camera is of questionable quality.

Aww crap all this talk about Warm Chill is getting me worried! My package is already on its way and I hope its worth the $$$. Returning via mail takes toooo long so I usually don't bother.

i'm wondering if warming trend is worth buying when i already have bronze, romp, woodwinked, tempting, amber lights and all that glitters? is it different enough?

i do love my browns and golds!

ha. i'm pretty sure i have 5/6 of the e/s you mentioned & i still got warming trend. i believe warming trend is different enough, from the shadows you mentioned, to warrant buying it. i love browns and golds too, they are timeless.

For those of you questioning whether or not you need Plumage e/s from the permanent line to wear with these shadows, you do
yes.gif
I love Plumage anyway, but even more with these colors!

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I just got back from the MAC store and got a boat load of stuff to take advantage of the 15% off discount. From the Cool Heat collection, I got Climate Blue and High 90s (B2M). So that makes me now the proud owner of all the e/s in the Cool Heat collection.

The MA that helped me out was wearing Warm Chill on the lid, bronze e/s on the crease, some teal liner (forgot to ask what), and Solar White to highlight. It was simple yet GORGEOUS!!!!

Other stuff that I got were the following:
- e/s pans (Sketch, Amber Lights, Paradisco, Expensive Pink, Woodwinked, Beauty Marked, Da Bling, Knight Divine, and Nocturnelle)
- 2 15-pan e/s palettes
- Fix +
- Supersequin l/s (B2M)
- Skew l/s (B2M)
- Chic l/s (B2M)

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I was playing around this morning with Warm Chill and I tried applying it with a wet brush. It really seemed to improve the color payoff and it still blended beautifully with Warming Trend! It makes a nice highlight at the inner corner!

the closest colors to warming trend is twillery and patina (minus the duochrome). there is nothing else like it. warming trend would go great with these colors tho.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Well I took advantage of the 15% off coupon yesterday & picked up the following:

- All of the Cool Heat shadows minus Climate Blue (B2M x2)
- Swelter s/s
- By Degrees s/s
- Pucker t/t
- How n Saucy t/t
- Honey Bare t/t
- Delft p/p
- 249 brush
- Beautiful Iris pro pan
- Empty quad
My total was only $170! I was super stoked
smiles.gif

Anyway, my faves are definitely Gulf Streem, Solar White and Warming Trend (wearing the two latter with Mulch in the crease today to work). The texture of Cool Heat seems almost the same as Big T to me so I may sell this one off if its not better like I thought it would be. All of the Slimshines were gorgeous. I'm actually going to order High 90s & Sweetooth t/t online since they were out at my store.

YAY for new shadows to play with

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

So i went to the mac store in saks today, the cool heat shadows were to die for! but when i was looking at them i noticed that they didnt have gulf stream! so i asked the MA about it and she goes, no no there are only 6 shadows in the cool heat collection, and i said, hmmm i think theres 7 cause i remember putting gulf stream into my shopping cart thingy on the mac site. she was nice about it but said i could be mistaken then she asked the other MA about it and he even said he didnt know there was a shadow called gulf stream so he pulled out the mac collection booklet and low and behold gulf stream was there and they were totally dumbfounded. haha they looked sooo confused but then searched the drawers and finally found it! they were glad that i said something or else no one would have known there was a 7th! anywho, i think im going to go back and buy cool heat, blue flame, and warm chill! those looked sooo pretty. while i was there though, i picked up gulf stream (which is SOOO gorgeous!) and tropic glow slimshine (i am so inlove with this color!) =]

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Yeah, I am not too thrilled with Cool Heat. The texture seems different than the one I played with in the store. Not only that, but the color difference on the eye between Gulf Stream and Cool Heat isn't that big. They look very similar on, with CH being a tiny bit darker and a touch more blue. I might swap it. Now, Gulf Stream on the other hand, is heaven in a pot! I LOVE this one!
