This sounds great, do you happen to know where that video is? White is an awesome base for colors, which is why Ive been lemming a white cream paint pot. The neutral bases suck up my color and I don't like the frosty paint pots as much. So I've just been using UDPP unless I use a colored base or Sharkskin. I had Overcast SS but I didn't like it's texture as much as my others.

Perfect! I'm definitely going to try this. I'll have to pick up Luna when I go to trade in my B2Ms for Climate Blue!

i only have woodwinked & warming trend. i already posted a swatch of them in the swatch forum. woodwinked is way darker and more gold than warming trend.

here is mac's color descriptions because sometimes that helps put things in perspective:

Tan: Muted bronzed pinky brown (Frost)
Warming Trend: Frosty light taupe (Veluxe Pearl)
All That Glitters: Midtone beige with gold reflects (Veluxe Pearl)
Woodwinked: Warm antique gold (Veluxe Pearl)

Don’t ask me why I didn’t leave with a million of ‘em! I'm still, seriously, on the fence with Cool Heat, Warm Chill, Warming Trend, Blue Flame. I haven’t written them off yet.

Climate Blue (won’t be happy until 3 more find their way to me)

CCB Pearl is so so versatile. It can be an eye base or use it to highlight high on cheekbones etc. I use mine all the time
winks.gif

I didn't realize CCB Pearl was still considered so useful, now that everyone is using Paint Pots. Thanks so much.

Does anyone, else, ever start out into MAC, extremely, focused on Launch Days, all excited to begin analyzing the collection, then start the failed duping process; trying in vain to find those featured LE colors? Or if, maybe, possibly, to catch MAC trying put one over on us only to discover, quite suddenly, that you’ve lost all sense of time, space, reality…and reason.

Talk about feeling like a Kid in a candy store with ADD! I was hopeless in trying to reach a solid decision on the Cool Heat collection; as I found myself straying away from getting many of LE Shadows, as apposed to perm line stuff, during my dupe process.
It was that darned Plumage shadow that threw me off…way off into the Fall colors!!!
Can I hear a resounding,“Darn you Audrey!”
tong.gif

Because, you know, Plumage was never, even, on my radar until two days ago?!? Then, of course, you have to get Club to go with Plumage, because they come as a set…right???
th_rolleye0014.gif

Anyways, GlamYOURUs’ review of the collection is just about dead on to my opinion of Cool Heat. Thank You GlamYOURUs! There’s been some really fantastic reviews thus far. This is a, really, strong collection anyway you slice it.
As always, what works for some, may not for others with respect to color payoff. I’ll admit I had I high hopes that, Warm Chill, would be that Fabulous 1960’s Green I’ve been looking for all my life. You know that type of Green that Neely O’ Hara from the “Valley of the Dolls” would’ve been caught in a compromising position wearing.

It’s close…very, very close!

I kinda look at my combo of Parrot, Gulf Stream, & Aquauert, along with the Reflects Trans Teal & Gold & Turquatic Glitters and feel somewhat contented that I may be able to do something interesting with them. Maybe throw in a little Devine Lime, or UD’s Glitter Eyeliner in Distortion, a kitchen sink and we’re good to go!

Here’s my Friends & Family haul:

Solar White x 3
Climate Blue (won’t be happy until 3 more find their way to me)
Gulf Stream
ClubPro
PlumagePro (Thanks Audrey! Your commission check is soooo in the mail!)
Sprout Pro
Twinks Pro
Blunt Pro Powder Blush
Prep ‘n’ Prime Skin Base Visage

…And, finally, The California Dreamin’ LE Lustre Lipstick (without Postcard…Shhhhhhh! And, no, I didn’t lift it! )
sneaky.gif

They had a hefty, very full case of these Lipsticks…my God! I seriously hope people are getting these postcards for this Lipstick!!! ‘Cuz that would be a crime!

My question: Is Gulf Stream destined to be the new Parrot?
And…Should I pick up, another, Sprout Pro Palette – They had one left – and I still don’t have Springtime Skipper…yet?

LONG LIVE FRIENDS & FAMILY!!!

Sprout is oh so pretty... I wish I had it.

And, ohhh, that California Dreamin'...

Plumage is one of the first three shadows I bought for myself. I love it.

I can't tell you how many times I've had to correct some MA's when inquiring on a certain shadow, "No not Gold Stream, Gulf Stream". It has to be hard, though, to remember all those names.

Point in being: Specktra is a requirement...not a luxury! LoL

Mmmmm...I haven't, even, begun to sink my teeth into that Plumage yet. It really has changed my whole palette range. It's going to be killer! Geez where've I been? Do you think its more of a Fall color, though, or do think it's O.K. for Summer looks?

It looked amazing in your combo for your photos, and was, definitely, Super Summerliciousness...I guess I'm still entranced by it next to Club...Oh Mama!
drools.gif

But...it looked very Fall toned!

We'll see I'll keep you posted.

Oh, and by the way do you accept monthly installments, or simply, one large lump sum?

FYI - for people looking for a good eye shadow base in colors, I've been using Shiseido Hydro-powders. They apply like butter and I haven't had creasing issues, but I usually don't anyhow. They are expensive, but the colors are to die for. My favorites are the Aqua Shimmer one (so pretty and really amps up turquoise colors like Parrot) and Whitelights. They’re a bit expensive when compared to MAC, but the colors are really pretty.

Not affiliated with them in anyway, just love the product.

I'm debating on whether to go to my MAC counter with sales flyer in hand or wait and save my money for my CCO.

And drat all of you for making me want Climate Blue so bad.

I like parts of this collection (blues and purples!), but a lot of greens look bleh on me. Why do I have to have hazel brown eyes instead of blue or grey-green?

sigh

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I just picked up Cool Heat, Climate Blue, Tropic Glow and have Gulf Stream on the way. I LOVE them all, and I don't usually do blues. My CH applies like butter. Love it.

I had a hard time deciding between Femme Fi and Solar White and went with Femme Fi... between the two there didn't seem to be much difference except that Solar White was a touch more gold.

I might pick up Turquatic one of these days, I found Turquatic Heat too floral for my tastes but Turquatic was perfect for me.

You know I tried some of Christian Dior's concealer for the first time, yesterday, and swatched some colors over it...I was extremely impressed with how well it backed the colors and held them!

Well, if it is strickly a fall color, I have been committing a MAJOR makeup faux pas.... I wear it ALL the time. See, here in Florida, there is only one season - hot and humid - so it's hard for me to distinguish between summer and fall. That's my excuse anyway
lol.gif

To answer your question, I accept payments of all kinds including California Dreamin' Lipstick.

Ugh! I had the same exact problem yesterday, but went with Solar White!

See, now, I think I need that, but was talked out of it by all of the MA's

And I don't even know why! Femme-Fi was a bit more low key, though.

I had Femme Fi and swapped it. I was hoping to use it as a highlighter and it was too yellow for me. I really didn't see anything special about it. Now, Solar White, on the other hand is so beautiful. I really love it. IMO, if you are trying to decide between the two, get Solar White!
