MAC Give me Liberty of London Discussion

So, I rushed over to my counter (freaking out, worried they would be sold out) and the collection is more gorgeous in person.

I ended up getting -

Give Me Liberty of London Eyeshadow (no idea why I got this)
Bough Grey Eyeshadow (love)
Shell Pearl Beauty Powder (got it for the packaging)
Ever Hip Lipstick (GORGEOUS for summer and spring)

Need to go back and test Blooming Lovely and Prim & Proper asap!

Even though I have taken off all of my makeup for the day I have a sudden urge to do a full face of makeup just so I can play with my new GMLOL stuff. I don't think that I can wait until tomorrow.

Yes! I would say Blooming lovely is mauvey with a hint of lavender. I wouldnt really call it a lavender lipstick on its own at all...and a rose romance is cool pinky pink.

nail polish? Is it at all close to Blue India?

I still wait to get both, but I think they are not similar!

Blue India is more teal-grey, while SSFS is more blue I guess.

Shell pearl vs. Tahitian Sand (HK) (someone asked about this)
Tahitian sand as a matte finish and peachier(as in oranger) while shell pearl is frostier (though peachy) but definitely pinker in color and has a much frostier finish. I have both and they are different. Tahitian sand doesnt really cut it for me as a highlighter, but shell pearl definitely is.

This time around, Summer rose is gorgeous! its much deeper violet compared to barbie's pearl blossom and is definitely much prettier than the one from a rose romance which i skipped since it was chalky and gross.

Oh, btw for those in Toronto, The Bay @ Fairview is sold out of Shell Pearl, Blue India, and one of the lipglosses (sorry, don't remember which one!). Craziness!

So........I just picked up Full Fuchsia (PRO colour only) instead of Petals & Peacock. Lolz Full Fuchsia looks A LOT better on me...but then again....Show Orchid, Girl About Town, Full Fuchsia, and Petals&Peacocks are all "approx" the same

Let me get this out there.
There's NO dupe for Blue India. I'm one of those nail polish freaks too and I can't recall any colour being able to dupe this! (Unless you mix your own polish lolz)

you are right, they are all "aprox" the same, but I can wear petals and peacock which my bf thought looked really hot on me, while I could not wear show orchid. its too neon and harsh on me. didnt look right at all. i think its important to try the shades on. though things may swatch similar, but will look differently on your face. i will never go near show orchid again

Yup, they all vary in the base colour. Show Orchid is more of a blue base that's why. But once again, if you pat down the colour with a tissue and top with a gloss...they're all (once again) "approx" the same
