It seems as though they did not have a lot of stock of the lipsticks, cause pretty much everyone has mentioned with the exception of a few, that the lipsticks are still backorder but the rest of the order has shipped. That's the way it is with my order too.

I'm really annoyed by this fiasco. They didn't have enough stock for a day's worth of ordering--really? I mean, I know this is popular, but the collection was in stock for approximately four hours.

It's also not fair that some people are getting shipments while other people aren't. Not that they should hold all shipments till everyone gets one, but it's just crap that I ordered at 11am, so my order is backordered while people who ordered three hours earlier are starting to get theirs shipped.

Lollipop Loving ls
Melrose Mood ls
Sockhop lg
Starlet Kiss lg
Alphagirl BP
Lola Devine n/l
Some of the glitters and pigments

did anyone receive a ship confirm. for these items? Is there anything else on back order besides these items?

i ordered at 9:30 yesterday morning, and the only thing that shipped was my foundation pump

If it's any consolation, I ordered at 5:20 am PST and again at 9:00 am PST and I'm getting about half of my order. I think it depended more on what you ordered. If you ordered lippies, BPs or pigments most of those items are on back order.

why is it unfair that people who ordered before you are getting stuff. it was probably in stock when they ordered, and out of stock when you did. it makes sense that everyone is a little upset over the whole situation, but it makes no sense that you'd be mad cause they are getting it shipped when they ordered hours before you.

Someone mentioned that their Starlet Kiss lg shipped. I was confused because I ordered it as well, and mine did not ship. I believe it was Isperry.

and in all fairness to MAC, the collection wasn't supposed to go up until the 27th originally. It was an oops that the collection went live when it did. The MAC SA that I've talked to through out, have been nothing but courteous and professional. I think people are panicking prematurely.

but i agree with what someone (forget who, sorry!) said -- they KNEW that this was going to be a hit, but they didn't have enough in stock for 1 day of orders?!?!? silly.

mine didn't ship either. I assumed that was part of the inventory that hadn't arrived at MAC yet.

I think there is a misunderstanding here. It wasn't that the inventory was limited, it was that the collection hadn't arrived yet at MAC. The collection was put up on the MAC web site prematurely, which is why MAC has been scrambling to fill our orders. They're being really decent about it. They could just cancel everyone's order and tell us we have to wait a couple more days to order. I'm really impressed at how MAC is handling what must be a terribley difficult situation.

That's what I thought, but she got an order confirmation stating that and hollywood nights had shipped. I ordered both, and mine didn't get shipped. And I agree with the MAC SA's being nothing but helpful and nice. I have not had one bad episode with any of them, and I've been calling a buttload. (Got worried about me not being there when the order arrived) They have been very helpful, although a little confusing with various estimates about ship dates. They are only people, and this is not their fault. I'm sure they're dealing with people who don't understand that, and are taking their frustrations out on them. Overall, I feel as though they've handled my situation professionally and politely. Although this situation sucks for all those involved, them and us, they are doing the best they can with it, and that's all anyone can really ask of them.

okay NOW i get it LOL i figured if they put it up on the website that meant they were ready to ship it out.

i do imagine the poor MAC customer service people are currently overrun with rabid customers dying for their Heatherette orders..........i'll just be patient

I couldn't agree more. My customer service phone call was answered by an apologetic person...my e-mail from MAC was courteous and helpful and sincerely abashed about the mix-up. Frankly, these items will be shipped in a couple of days which is STILL faster than if you had to wait until the 27th. I apologize for saying so but some of these comments are downright bordering on hysterical. Deep breaths....it's not as if you paid for something they are refusing to send. Your items will ship. MAC is an excellent company...give them break.

Obviously I'm not annoyed at the people who are getting their orders, if that's what you mean. I'm annoyed at MAC for making such a mess of this situation.
