I just hope that you aren't taking it out on the SAs answering the phones at MAC. They have nothing to do with this problem and are coping with an enormous flood of phone calls and emails at this point. And remember, MAC moved up the date only at the counters, not the web site. So you'll still probably being getting items sooner than the original release date on the web site. It isn't like they cancelled orders, just a delay in delivery date. If you're completely unhappy with that, just cancel your order and take your chances at the MAC counter.

Its MAC's mistake, but really, what can you do? All you can do is wait. They are obviously trying their best.

besides, its ONLY makeup people. relaxxx.

that's exactly what i said earlier. take your chances that things will be in stock at the counter. we've sold out of stuff in a few hours at my counter. it all depends on the demand and how much of that item we got in. otherwise call down and know that you'll get your stuff. it's just that you won't get it til monday.

If there is a MAC counter where I live, I would.

I'm not taking it out on anybody. I haven't even called MAC, since I can get the play-by-play on Specktra. Although as SAs, it's their job to deal with the flood of calls about a problem that their employer created. The SAs might be nice on the phone, but it's still crappy customer service on the part of MAC to mess up this release. Moving the day up on the counters but not the website seems to have been part of the fiasco and is also not a great situation for their customers who have to order online.

Well, if you really want to be all pissed off about it, go right ahead. I just don't think you'll get a ton of sympathy here, as most of us are in the same boat and have just resolved to wait a little longer for our orders.

the thing is, nobody HAS to order online. people can call stores or counters anywhere around them and have them shipped to them. the majority of all counters/stores have all the product. you'll just have to pay whatever they charge for shipping. it may come before it would've if you ordered online, it may not, but atleast you'd know what was instock, and that it would all come at the same time.

I think some of the anxiety is that those that have to order online because they do not live near a store or counter may feel that because there is so much demand & possibility of sell out of the product, that maybe they will somehow miss out.

But yes, you can call and have it shipped - if they have the product available.

I order online all the time, because I don't have a counter very close to me. I still think people are overreacting about this. MAC hasn't cancelled anyone's order, just some things are on back order. For crying out loud, the collection wasn't even supposed to be available until March 27th in the first place. This isn't a catastrophe, just a minor hiccup.

While I can understand everyone's frustration and disappointment with the whole situation, I am sad to see such a negative turn in this thread

I look at it this way - at least we are all fortunate enough to be able to afford the things we enjoy. Not everyone can be so lucky as us. Hang in there girls, it's coming!

I am as well. I just wanted to express my annoyance at the situation and now I feel somewhat attacked. I'm sitting at my computer getting hysterical over makeup, but I'm obviously unhappy that MAC would put up a collection that I'm extremely excited about and then tell me that it won't be available for two weeks (per the email) or three days (per specktra). I assumed specktra-ites would understand that frustration, but now I just feel defensive.

Well my credit card just got charged which is getting me to think that MAC is going to ship out my items soon... AND my credit card also got charged 10 dollars for my mac pro-student card, how unlucky am I haha, get the card AFTER I make my order. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to buy a couple more items heh.

at least you all have tracking numbers and can check and see the progress of your package. employees don't emails or tracking numbers. so far my cc shows no charges, and she said it would ship today, and didn't mention anything about stuff being backordered. i'll just get what i get when it comes.
