wow i'm kinda surprised myself how freaking fast neo sci fi is selling out for us in Canada. Evening Aura and Magnetic Fields sold out. I love all the 5 shadows I got

My first one getting ALL shadows in the collection! And I bought two of the VAE but haven't used it yet--my freaking counter didn't get it yet either. Or tendertones. grrr

i haven't been to my counter yet so i dunno if this collection or tendertones are out yet, but phosphur and plasma blu are sold out online too (in Canada)

I hadn't even checked the site today, good to know! I'm surprised as well, as generally the Cdn website doesn't sell out near as fast as the U.S. site for most collections. I was at a Bay MAC counter yesterday, and they were just putting the collection out on the display around noon. I didn't see the Tendertones display on the counter at all.

I only go to The Bay if the stores don't have what I want.... and the stores have had everything for a week or so. Even the Tendertones.

The VAE sold out quickly, so it's not on display at the stores. I was told by an insider that the MAs took most of it for themselves. (No joke.)

I just bought Electro l/s and Pink Grapefruit. So far I like it, it kinda looks peachy on my lips.

I wanna try Pleasureseeker, but it was sold out at the counter. Do any of you know if Pleasureseeker is similar to any other MAC ls? Maybe something from the N Collection? Thanks!!

Erine answered this for me some pages back (I know she said freckletone might be close?) But no I don't think any of the lipsticks from N collection are close to this. 1n is a gold color, 2n is like a whitish slight pink on me, 3n is a nice pale milky pink and 4n is like a creamy light brown. and 5n is just dark lmao hth

That's what I did last year!! Today I bought an empty quad with a pan of Expensive Pink, and I'm going to put Femme-Fi, Magnetic Fields, and Evening Aura in it as well. ^__^ We are such twins. I have a quad I made from last year's colors as well which includes the creamy pale color, Firespot, Cranberry, and the dark greenishbrown. So pretty. I went to the local MAC store today and took a look at some of the Neo-Sci-fi to see if I wanted to pick some up. While they did have all of Future Earth, they were missing several Solar Bits from Solar Field, and they were missing everything except Pink Grapefruit, Femme-Fi, and Magnetic Fields (which they had already sold out of) from Neo-Sci-Fi. They informed me that they will be getting it all soon though, so hopefully I'll be able to pick some more stuff up!

whenever i buy four shadows from a collection, i always put them in a quad, and i always arrange them from lightest to darkest too (i kid you not with the OCD

). so EA went in the upper left, EP in the upper right, T&S in the lower left, and MF in the lower right. i decided against FF cause its just another neutral, and i use shroom everyday anyway. i was depotting while PMing you last night! lol!

The counter at my mall hasn't sold anything out yet-in fact there is still a lot of EVERYTHING NSF/SF/FE in stock. On the US website it's Pleasureseeker and Plasma Blu that are sold out. Black Ore is also sold out-but I wonder how long it will be for the VAE.

Pleasureseeker to me seems to be very similar to Lollipop Lovin', but less pink and without the sparkles.

just an fyi everyone. customer service has sold out of the VAE, so you better get it while you can. we haven't gotten it yet, and prolly won't. my guess is if your local counter hasn't gotten it in by now, they prolly won't either.

I tried the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator tonight and man, that shit is AWESOME. My skin feels wonderful. Super smooth and lovely, and it definitely looks healthy. It also dried to a lovely matte finish, and it didn't leave any gross residue, or stickyness on my skin at all. It feels wonderful right now, but we'll have to see if I break out tomorrow!!!

I also used the Lip Exfoliator and my lips feel wonderful as well. I was convinced that it was a Lip Conditioner/Exfoliator, but it is actually a Prep + Prime Lip/Exfoliator. I wasn't sure how to use it so I just used it directly on the lips (not just one side) for a minute or so, and then washed it off with warm water. I then used only the Prep + Prime Lip side. My lips feel super smooth and LOOK super smooth so that's a good thing! I am pretty much loving both, but I really hope it stays this good. Cross your fingers for no break outs!!

Also, does the Prep + Prime Lip/Exfoliator have the same Volcanic Ash? And where is the Ash from again? Somewhere where Survivor was once! Erine, or anybody?

That bites! I'm glad I went to the Pro store on the first day they got it. Shouldn't they be getting it from head office in Markham? That's where all the counter girls tell me they have to get their stuff.

I can't say that the VAE has done wonders for my skin but I do love how soft my face feels afterwards. The first time I used it my forehead was still flaky but that might be because I didn't let the VAE sit. Since I've started using it I have noticed the red acne marks that have sat on my face for 3 months are starting to fade, tho!

Nothing else has done that for me so far.

I think I'll have to get another lip exfoliator. I've only used it 4 times but it's wearing down faster than I thought it would. Either that or it's just LE paranoia.

Magnetic Fields... I dunno, it's not as incredible as I thought it'd be but it still makes for a simple and lovely smokey eye with Woodwinked. Someone swatched Orange Tangent in the swatch thread and I think I can pass on Evening Aura, and as beautiful as T&S is, I've got 2 pans of Woodwinked (one from a palette) so I shouldn't get another shadow that's so close, right?

Maybe I'll exchange it for Pink Grapefruit, which I haven't swatched on me yet in fear of falling in love and talking myself into yet another item, especially if I want the lip exfoliator

This collection isn't doing it for me. I feel like all the colors are so dupable with the exception of the Electro lippie, which I got. I also picked up 2 of the microfine lip refiisher because of all the rave reviews here in addition to those of the gals at the MAC store. LOVE it and I'm SO glad it comes with instructions! I had to rub for a bit to get the flakes coming off, but wow what a difference! You gotta put some lip balm or something on right after as my lips were craving moisture after the exfoliation. I ALSO picked up the volcanic ash exfoliator and am actually enjoying it. I've never been particularly lucky with MAC's skincare line, but I'm diggin' on this stuff and Bunny has it right. No sticky face, dries matte, healthy glow, and I really felt like it took of the dead skin cells to bring that new layer out. My face didn't even feel like it needed a moisturizer, but I had to follow with Strobe cream. Haven't broken out either. YES!!!

Is there any hope of VAE being made perm? I love it so.

the ash comes from mt. vanuatu. the lip exfoliator doesn't contain the ash. the grey side contains hibiscus flower powder, which is a natural exfoliator. and the white side actually is the regular lip conditioner. it talks about it in the back of our update book. i think they shoulda renamed it cause the name does imply that it is prep & prime when really its not.
