I ordered around the same, and it is out for delivery. Its my local courier making it late, not MAC. Its the same lady that does all MAC parcels, in this area, with DHL @Home service which is now Yodel, and she won't deliver before 4pm as apparently most households are occupied between 4-9pm - but not me
Gosh I wish our local Yodel couriers were that considerate, instead they rock up after 11am when the tradesman bell stops and then fail to leave a calling card. They dont seem to realise that most people work during the day.....

Our local Yodel courier comes at 1-2ish so I always know when my MAC purchases will arrive :)

*sigh* if only my Debenhams orders would arrive this consistently!

Awws I'm a poor student nurse so I know how broke feels! I just save save save and borrow heehee!

I got:

Rose Quartz MSF
Golden Glaze MES
Mineral Mode MES
HoS MES
Unsurpassable MES
Clarity MES
Mineral Charged Water

I got the water as its meant to be real nice under make up plus, I figured I could use it on my eyeshadow brushes to apply the MES if I wanted. I have lots of Fix+ so even if it turns out to be just nice smelling water, I'll use it as a facial spritz and keep it in the fridge.

I can't wait to try those MES out though, and the MSF. Its all new to me, and I find it very exciting!

Yeah, you're right. Its a very common sense approach, which I'm sure most people benefit from - its just I work shifts so there's no consistency with the times I'm home, so I always arrange deliveries to be done on my day off which means I wait all day, lol!

No pleasing everyone eh?!

I ended up ordering the following. Sadly, the lipstick and blush I wanted were already sold out, but I consoled myself by getting a few other things I really wanted!

MSF in Rose Quartz, Crystal Pink and Pearl
2 Mini Fix+
Tinted Lip Conditioner in Petting Pink

I hope the MSF's live up to my expectations! By the time I started collecting MAC (January) there were only a few available and I look forward to the ones coming out in the fall!

Ooh you will have to let us know what you think of everything, Rose Quartz MSF especially as that's what I'm thinking of getting tomorrow :D

I'm a medical student, so I feel the pain of studying healthcare especially the long hours!

I called the NYC pro store and they are sold out of golden daze, which is one of the things i really wanted. I'm going to a regular store tomorrow with a list:

-Golden Gaze
-Gem of Roses (B2M)
-235 brush (maybe, still not sure if these are a must have!), or just an extra 217

I just did a mac live chat re the brushes...here's the transcript..hope it helps

info: Hello. Thank you for your interest in MAC Cosmetics. My name is Jara. How may I assist you?
Edel: Hi Jara. I currently use the 182 kabuki brush to apply my foundation (normally face and body or studio sculpt). I am thinking of getting the new 179 kabuki brush from the semi precious collection and was wondering if it would be suitable for foundation application and would it give a different result to the 182?
Jara: The #179 is also excellent for these products. It has a blend of natural and synthetic hairs which makes it even more effective for blending creams and liquids.
Edel: would it give more coverage as the 182 tends to give a fairly sheer finish?
Jara: It may give a tad more coverage as the synthetic hairs tend to deposit more product.
Edel: Thanks. I am thinking of getting the smaller eye shadow brush and the blush brush from the semi precious collection. Is there a technique to using the tip of the brush or are they more for the convenience of having 2 brushes combined and you just use each side on their own?
Jara: Yes, these are just more of a "luxury item" brush and also for the convenience of have synthetic and natural in one brush. These brushes are a half and half compilation of natural and synthetic fibres. For a soft, diffused look, use the natural side. For an application that blends and fuses colour to the skin, use the synthetic side.
Edel: so you wouldn't use both sides at once by using the tip?
Jara: You could do that as well.
Edel: and what would the benefit be?
Jara: You would deposit more product than let's say a #224, but it would be more blended than let's say a #217.
Edel: cool thanks. I had heard someone suggest that you could use the cheek brush on its tip to apply foundation and the finished result would be fairly airbrushed cause the synthetic part would deposit the colour and the natural hairs would blend it out at the same time...do you think this would work?
Jara: Yes, exactly.
Edel: great thanks for your help
Jara: My pleasure Edel!

Jara: My pleasure Edel!
today I've tried the 128 with foundation.. the final look was good but I dare say I prefer my 188 beacuse with it I can use less product and I finish faster... I also have made a video...but I don't know if I'll ever publish it muahahahah but I love these brushes ^^ probably if you have a lot of brushes you don't need them but for me they will become part of my everyday routine (I didn't have a buffer brush, nor a "classic" blush brush of course I have the 168 and the 188 but I wanted something to pat color on my small cheeks... I didn't have an eye brush good for cream products and the 235 is good for this purpose and the 234 can be used with cream, powder and concealer!)
Thanks for doing that. I tried the 188 but found it gave a streaky finish but I think that was my application! Did the semi precious brushes give the air brush finish and you try the buffer and blush brush for foundation? Sorry for all the question but I am going to the store tomorrow and would like to have in my head what I want so I am not lead astray by the pretty colours and mua!!

Ok i've started using some of the items which i bought from this collection

My reviews on the MES in general (do note that I only bought 3 of the MES from this collection in Blue sheen, hint of sapphire and unsurpassable)

With the exception of Blue sheen, and the dark green one (Sorry...forgot this name) and golden gaze, I noticed that the majority of the MES in this collection are yes, glittery/shimmery and color payoff is so so. Work is needed to build up the colors of these MES..... either use them wet or use a good base such as a paintpot with it.

Blue sheen, golden gaze and the dark green one has very good color pay off by themselves as compared to the rest of the MES, and make for very good smokey eye colors

As for the MSFs...

Yes...they are VERY shimmery. Less is more .... cause u don't wanna end up like a glitterbomb in these... But otherwise they make very good highlighting products.

And the Mineralized blushers....

They are more matte in texture than the regular and previous ones. Kinda remind me of the texture of those from fab felines, but with higher color payoff.

so pretty! sorry bout Golden Glaze. Hope you kick their ass if they ever do something like that again
I decided to do a look with Rare Find after I got over my anger with the Pro Store over Golden Gaze(I am waiting for it to come in the mail from another Pro Store, though just typing that made my anger flair). Anyway, lol, I really am liking Rare Find and I didn't think I would end up picking it up, but I did along with quite a few others, LOL. Anyway. Here is the rare find look. if you are curious about the products that I used they are in my blog(a link to it is in my signature)

all excited! I don't have a pro store near me and I wanna test the stuff out so me and a few of my girlfriends are heading over to our counter and i'll be getting swatches like crazy! I know for a fact i need Golden Glaze (since day 1) Smoked Ruby for the MES. I got 6 empty containers so I'm gonna grab Gem of Roses
yahoo.gif
but that's it for lip products (except maybe geo pink) and then I'll grab Pressed Amber since I have nothing like it (maybe warmth of coral too) and lastly Crystal pink MSF. Without tax $81 so not bad but i know that once i look in store I will be compleatly different and grab more *sigh*

DI is so gorgeous! I tried it wet and it was so pigmented, so opaque and the green was so luxurious, very impressive. It's the dark green I've been wanting. Btw, when I applied it wet (with Fix+) it turned in to this thick paste which was really nice to work with. Love it! :)

I also tried WoC on top of Tickle Me Pink ccb, and it gave it some nice dimension, almost like a duochrome-effect! :)

I got my order today, I've only done a few dry swatches and photos so far, I need more time to play with it. Clarity is very pretty dry though, as is Golden Gaze. Jade's Fortune is so so dry, I need to play with it wet. Mine hasn't got much colour difference in it, it is mainly green and yellow with a teeny blue in it. I was hoping for more yellow but I can still pick out a bit of variation in it. We shall see how I get on. Mineral Mode is nice and smooth, mine is quite white which is good, I didn't want it too pink. Both Rose Quartz and Pearl are pretty, when swatched, I need to try them on my face but I like them so far. Gem of Roses is nice but not backup worthy in my opinion, it just gives my lips a little more colour, evens them out and shine. I like it and will use it but I can probably find something similar. Geo Pink looks NOTHING like Temptalia's swatch, it is more pink but it is a hard shade to photograph. I don't see as much shimmer in it as in swatches so most is down to the flash.

The MES that got cancelled was Unsurpassable so I just ordered that along with Richly Revered because I liked that but didn't buy it. I've just had my hair dyed a deep red and think it will look good with my new colour. Survey10 still works for free shipping on the UK site by the way.

My order arrived!! YAY!! I was just about to go out for some dinner with hubby when it came, so I quickly grabbed some shots. These are just pics of the products, will do swatches tomorrow. I've done one pic in natural light, and one in flash to show the sheen quality of the products. I've also done a FOTD to show the Rose Quartz, which I used swirled together as a blush and believe it or not...the eye colour? Clarity! I could not get the sheen in the pic but its amazing - it looks teal, blue, pink and yellow - like little flashes when you move - I couldn't capture it, it looks flat in pics but I included it to show how pigmented it was. As I was on my way out I just quickly re-did my bare eyes, painterly was used as a base then Clarity applied with my fingers, DRY!! I am amazed!!

Also, the angel who picked my products at MAC? Thank you so much...you managed to give me MES with perfect veining and colour balance. I am a happy lady

Will be at the store first thing tomorrow morning. I think I want to get 2-3 of the MES (definitely Rose Quartz & Goldstone) , Precious Pearl is still up in the air. I dont know about the MES, they look pretty but I feel like they arent really unique colors or I have something similar to the ones im interested in.

I have totally crossed BS, SR, GG, DI off my list !!!!

But im trying to decide between HofS, Unsurpassable and Clarity . . . .
