MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

That's what i was going to do originally but, i have enough empty containers to get a lipstick so.... Gem of Roses seems to be mine after all

Will be at the store first thing tomorrow morning. I think I want to get 2-3 of the MES (definitely Rose Quartz & Goldstone) , Precious Pearl is still up in the air. I dont know about the MES, they look pretty but I feel like they arent really unique colors or I have something similar to the ones im interested in.

I have totally crossed BS, SR, GG, DI off my list !!!!

But im trying to decide between HofS, Unsurpassable and Clarity . . . .

DI is so far the only MES on my list, together with GoR. Cannot wait to finally see the collection in person.

Great choice, that is one of the best MES, if not the best!

And thank you dear, I did some experimenting in fields of fantasy make up back in fall, that is what I came up with. I named it The Season Changer.

i just hope it's not overly pigmented like full fuchsia to the point where i can barely control the pigmentation. ( i have a heavy hand with blush...i need a big fluffy brush)

Ooh lucky you. That was Debenhams, right? Mine didn't come today, hope it'll come tomorrow and I won't miss it. Did yours arrive by courier or royal mail? Ta!

I got my order today, I've only done a few dry swatches and photos so far, I need more time to play with it. Clarity is very pretty dry though, as is Golden Gaze. Jade's Fortune is so so dry, I need to play with it wet. Mine hasn't got much colour difference in it, it is mainly green and yellow with a teeny blue in it. I was hoping for more yellow but I can still pick out a bit of variation in it. We shall see how I get on. Mineral Mode is nice and smooth, mine is quite white which is good, I didn't want it too pink. Both Rose Quartz and Pearl are pretty, when swatched, I need to try them on my face but I like them so far. Gem of Roses is nice but not backup worthy in my opinion, it just gives my lips a little more colour, evens them out and shine. I like it and will use it but I can probably find something similar. Geo Pink looks NOTHING like Temptalia's swatch, it is more pink but it is a hard shade to photograph. I don't see as much shimmer in it as in swatches so most is down to the flash.

The MES that got cancelled was Unsurpassable so I just ordered that along with Richly Revered because I liked that but didn't buy it. I've just had my hair dyed a deep red and think it will look good with my new colour. Survey10 still works for free shipping on the UK site by the way.

I actually have no idea, I didn't even see it when I got in and then sat and sulked lol. When my Dad came home from work he threw it into the front room (don't even get me started on him!), I'm glad nothing got broken, thankfully it was all in a box within the bag. I didn't ask him where he found it, it was either in the hall or someone left it by the front door, wouldn't suprise me if they left an expensive parcel on the doorstep... I have a feeling it might have been Royal Mail as my last order was from them.

Is it a nice green at least? I thought Unsurpassable had a lot of green in most swatches, I didn't see much blue in it. Maybe it swatches nicely.

There are quite a few unique colors in the MES: Clarity, Jade's Fortune, Unsurpassable and Golden Gaze, especially. I'm not going to be very surprised if I see you with a follow-up post of all the MES you broke down and got

I'm really sorry. I know you were excited about getting more MES. Is it possible that more blue is just below the surface?

One of my old MSF had a big vein, but I literally had to dig to get there.

And why is your Jade's Fortune yellow? Eeeek! Just swatch it, maybe you like it when you see the colors swirled together.

Thanks for doing that. I tried the 188 but found it gave a streaky finish but I think that was my application! Did the semi precious brushes give the air brush finish and you try the buffer and blush brush for foundation? Sorry for all the question but I am going to the store tomorrow and would like to have in my head what I want so I am not lead astray by the pretty colours and mua!!

well, IMO if you want an airbrushed look you should use a buffer brush, but you already have one so I really don't think you'll see a big difference between this and a rounded one... I must say it's beautiful with powders and MSF and very soft... about the 128 also a MA said here (I've read this on a blog from a girl who has spoken with the MA) that the 128 gives an airbrushed look with foundation, but to me it's not so easy to swirl it over the face because it's very dense and flat... it's better for tapping!! but I prefer to swirl foundation... but if you don't like the 188 maybe you like this one XD try them in store!!!! and if you feel you need them, take them ^^^^^ I needed them... of course you can also take them only if you like I should post pictures .....

no hun i wish... it's 70% yellow.... no blue at all! so its like a mineralized version of chrome yellow eyeshadow.
and veins are supposed to be even all throughout the pot....

I've seen on a blog a rare find with only one little grey vein... poor girl, its swatch wasn't good at all in my opinion because it was a red/pink and not the beautiful grey pink we have seen in some swatches!!

I live in the middle of nowhere.... no MAC counters at all. So to me I understand people's point of view about online ordering and returning but when you dont have a MAC in 2 hours or a car to go to one if I dont like it Im gonna return it. No question.

I recieved my package with Gem of Roses, Pearl MSF, and Rose Quartz MSF today.
I love the MSFs I ordered and now I'm wondering if I should get Crystal Pink MSF. Has anyone that ordered it recieved it yet? What do you think of it? I'm also thinking about ordering Feeling Flush blush.

I don't think it is mean to return an item that is clearly not what it is described to be.

I just hate when people run it the store and buy up popular items without trying them and then returning them because they decided they didn't like it.
