I'm just hoping that:
1. this is the reintroduction of Tendertones on a permanent basis. I don't mind LE stuff, but honestly,
why make one of your best and most successful products LE? It's like the Volcanic Ash Exfoliator - who the hell offers skincare as a LE item? What part of routine skincare does Mac not get.
2. Please, please, please may Mac not have fiddled with the original formulation. That would be like drawing a mustache on the Mona Lisa. Just.not.done!
3. For those unfamiliar with Tendertones, yes, they are just a lip balm. They won't take you out to dinner, make you look decades younger or change your life
. The thing is they were a wonderfully well made product. The texture, the smell, the product performance <-for all these reasons they are one of my favorite Mac products. In fact, I'd like to see Mac release less collections, but more well-edited collections containing products like Tendertones, more of the new formulation matte lipsticks, beauty powder blushes and eye shadows like the Starflash or Mega Metals. That'll keep people coming back to Mac, great products thoughtfully chosen for a collection, like Cult of Cherry, Barbie or Hello Kitty. They're diluting their brand's value by vomiting forth ill-conceived collections, some of which contain subpar products (Metal-X and
Big Bounce eye shadows, for example). Mac already has some really great products in their lineup and they need to start focusing on those products.
