AHHH I forgot to put battery back in my camera after I charged... stupid me! No pictures from the unveiling... sorry guys
I went to the event tonight and the whole thing went along with the beach theme! There were hot male models in swim trunks
One of them was just standing in the middle of the store under the straw hut looking thing, giving out necklaces to everyone who passed by. Other models were serving coconut cocktails with lime in it besides some pineapple on the toothpick and mini sandwiches with crab meat (I'm not sure if it was actually crab meat because I just threw it into my mouth) The bottom of the displayer was also made out of woven straw looking material so it was summery/beachy. Here are my thoughts on some of the items I tried at the store.
Beach Bronze cream bronzer:
I was surprised in a very good way. I wasn't even interested in this before but the texture and the color sold me. When I got some of it on my finger, it definitely felt like cream but the moment I swatched it on back of my hand it felt so powdery! How is that even possible? I just had to keep trying it over and over...lol This has some gold shimmers in it and I think this will make a subtle, natural look for those with paler skintones. (I'm somewhere between NC20 and NC 25 by the way) I also swatched the other one (Weekend I believe?) and thought it was a little orangey.
Lazy Day:
I thought this one was pretty pigmented for a lustre. One of the MAs had this with Splashing l/g on top of it and it was sooooo pretty. When I asked her what she was wearing, she was like, "yeaaahhh, I know! Pretty, right?" lol I didn't get this but I might go back for it.
Flurry of Fun:
This one is so unique IMHO. It has teal/pewrinkle shimmers depending on the angle you look from. So pretty
Eyeshadows:
Sand & Sun had absolutely no color pay off on me after two layers
Firecracker and Sweet & Punchy on the other hand were very pigmented and swatched so smoothly. I got Firecracker and skipped S&P because I have Rated R. Firecracker wasn't really orangey on me but the color might look different when I actually use it for my eyes. It swatched like reddish coral on my hand.
Marine Life:
The hype sucked me in
But I'm happy that I got one. The MA also showed me how I can make some different color combinations using both sides like somebody said before.
Blushes:
I swatched Hipness next to Marine Life(top half) and Hipness is definitely pinker. It is pigmented and I didn't think it was chalky. It rather swatched smoothly. As soon as I swatched Get Away Bronze I thought it was frosty. But I think this is great for a bronzy look.
Lip Pencils:
I thought the texture was on the harder side. Temperature Rising was very bright, neon orange, and Life's a Breeze is a soft, warm pink. They both swatched just like how they look. LB somehow didn't feel as hard as TR did.
Bronze Body Oil:
It was hard to get the right amount when I was trying to swatch it on back of my hand. I was being careful when I was told that this thing comes out a lot at one time but I failed. This is supposed to be for your body so I guess it doesn't matter. It had a sublte color on my hand that is hardly noticeable after I blended it out. Other people probably can't tell that you have some bronzing product on. Shimmers were so obvious and sparkly. I took a shower when I came back but the they are still there...
I'm also attaching pictures of the necklace, the paper and Marine Life in a box. I wonder if I can ever use it... I just want to keep it as it is
