I still def want Firecracker and Sweet/punchy. Thanks for your report

Get-Away Bronze works for me with a 129 brush and I'm NW15, so I think it would work for you. Marine Life doesn't seem like Ripe Peach to me. RP was more orange, this is definitely pinker.

For the people that did buy or swatch Lazy Day, would you say it is at least somewhat pigmented or does it not show up much? In one blog, I read that they could hardly get it to show up and then on another they said they thought it was fairly pigmented for a lustre. I was looking for a natural and sort of sweet pink for my lips...but not so sure after so many conflicting viewpoints! I think I'll be getting Lazy Day, Shimmermoss, Splashing, and maybe Funbathing. It depends on my reaction in person to all of it.

You know I am thinking about Get away bronze now too! My list keeps growing haha but know I am thinking about maybe not getting the Beach bronze cream bronzer and getting instead the Get away bronze blush... Don't worry I'll let you know my final list before the 28th hahaha but for sure I want the Marine Life High-Light, Refined Golden bronzer and Temperature Rising l/p

It seemed fairly pigmented to me. It will depend on the pigmentation of your lips. It is a sweet pretty pink

So on my NC25 skin Get-Away bronze will look nice too! (in the swatches this blush looks really dark so I was kinda scared)
Oh man I need to stop looking at this thread! hahaha poor Flamingbird she is doing the CP for me! hahaha :p

Thanks Ethel.....now you're making my list longer and more expensive

ILoveMakeup84....it's alright as long as you have your final list by next Friday. I may still go to the MAC close to me if we both decide to get Marine Life on Thursday
greengrin.gif
in case it sells out. I'll get the other items on Friday.

AHHH I forgot to put battery back in my camera after I charged... stupid me! No pictures from the unveiling... sorry guys
ssad.gif

I went to the event tonight and the whole thing went along with the beach theme! There were hot male models in swim trunks
yes.gif
One of them was just standing in the middle of the store under the straw hut looking thing, giving out necklaces to everyone who passed by. Other models were serving coconut cocktails with lime in it besides some pineapple on the toothpick and mini sandwiches with crab meat (I'm not sure if it was actually crab meat because I just threw it into my mouth) The bottom of the displayer was also made out of woven straw looking material so it was summery/beachy. Here are my thoughts on some of the items I tried at the store.

Beach Bronze cream bronzer:
I was surprised in a very good way. I wasn't even interested in this before but the texture and the color sold me. When I got some of it on my finger, it definitely felt like cream but the moment I swatched it on back of my hand it felt so powdery! How is that even possible? I just had to keep trying it over and over...lol This has some gold shimmers in it and I think this will make a subtle, natural look for those with paler skintones. (I'm somewhere between NC20 and NC 25 by the way) I also swatched the other one (Weekend I believe?) and thought it was a little orangey.

Lazy Day:
I thought this one was pretty pigmented for a lustre. One of the MAs had this with Splashing l/g on top of it and it was sooooo pretty. When I asked her what she was wearing, she was like, "yeaaahhh, I know! Pretty, right?" lol I didn't get this but I might go back for it.

Flurry of Fun:
This one is so unique IMHO. It has teal/pewrinkle shimmers depending on the angle you look from. So pretty
drools.gif

Eyeshadows:
Sand & Sun had absolutely no color pay off on me after two layers
ssad.gif
Firecracker and Sweet & Punchy on the other hand were very pigmented and swatched so smoothly. I got Firecracker and skipped S&P because I have Rated R. Firecracker wasn't really orangey on me but the color might look different when I actually use it for my eyes. It swatched like reddish coral on my hand.

Marine Life:
The hype sucked me in
tong.gif
But I'm happy that I got one. The MA also showed me how I can make some different color combinations using both sides like somebody said before.

Blushes:
I swatched Hipness next to Marine Life(top half) and Hipness is definitely pinker. It is pigmented and I didn't think it was chalky. It rather swatched smoothly. As soon as I swatched Get Away Bronze I thought it was frosty. But I think this is great for a bronzy look.

Lip Pencils:
I thought the texture was on the harder side. Temperature Rising was very bright, neon orange, and Life's a Breeze is a soft, warm pink. They both swatched just like how they look. LB somehow didn't feel as hard as TR did.

Bronze Body Oil:
It was hard to get the right amount when I was trying to swatch it on back of my hand. I was being careful when I was told that this thing comes out a lot at one time but I failed. This is supposed to be for your body so I guess it doesn't matter. It had a sublte color on my hand that is hardly noticeable after I blended it out. Other people probably can't tell that you have some bronzing product on. Shimmers were so obvious and sparkly. I took a shower when I came back but the they are still there...

I'm also attaching pictures of the necklace, the paper and Marine Life in a box. I wonder if I can ever use it... I just want to keep it as it is

I went through a bronzer phase and wound up with too many of them and started giving them away and throwing them out.I wanted to "quit" them and rule them out of my stash. Now with the introduction of MAC's new cream bronzer I am wanting one again...go figure. The creamy appearing consistency is luring me in on this one. Beach Bronze will be perfect for us fair skinned gals. Can we back 2 Mac for any of these lip products?

Now I think about it, the MA at Macy's didn't even know the 130 brush existed so maybe he is one of those who aren't really keen on his job... All the other MAs I asked at freestanfing stores told me that it will be released on 27th so don't worry, you have a full day to get ready! Hope you have a great trip

OMG, I am putting way too much thought into this LOL

I know exactly how you feel!!!!! I have tried a ton of bronzers in the past, but was never a die hard bronzer user until I tried Refined Golden. It's even hitting the pan!!!! I'm also starting to get a little curious about trying Golden.....wondering how different that would look on me! But I'm also worried I might fall in love with the cream bronzer (like I am with RG) but won't be able to find it anywhere once I'm done

I just came back from the party and THEY SOLD OUT OF MARINE LIFE! I went in around 8:15 and my appointment was for 8:30. I was at the location at about 7:20 and they didn't check my appointment time so I probably could've gotten in earlier! Urghhhh...I hope I can get it when it the collection is released, they wouldn't put one on hold for me either.

Marine Life is freaking fabulous. I thought it was hype, I thought it was stupid because there's an overspray and I was unimpressed by the seahorse. I planned to get Hipness. I left with Marine Life, and a backup--my first backup ever. It is bright gorgeous coral, not a highlighter at all. And it's sort of glowy, with a really pretty sheen. It's really a must have for people who like brights.

Also got Sweet and Punchy (unbelievably fabulous over Pharoah paint pot), Beach Bronze cream bronzer (sparkly!), Get-Away Bronze blush (peachy bronze! so pretty on pale skin! I don't get why this isn't being talked about more), and Temperature Rising lip pencil (great under Morange and Electro lipsticks). The lip pencils are my preferred texture--not creamy, more hard (I really hate In Synch, for instance).

I skipped Firecracker because I just got UD Freelove, which is similarly peachy/orange (but by no means a dupe--Firecracker has a lot more red tones in it). It would look fabulous with Coppering in the crease. I skipped the lipsticks because I hate glazes and lustres with a passion and the lipglasses because I have a ton of pinky and peachy colors. The lipglass with teal pearl was awesome and tempting though.

I am obsessed with this collection.

Which party were you at? I just got back from one too

This collection is AMAZING!!! It's much pretty on than the pics do justice

I will write up a story for my blog tomorrow and post pics!

I went to the unveiling party today and it was crazy over there! Lots of people (two or three even drunk, WTH?!, it was only 7:30 PM), male models wearing shorts and giving necklaces to people... Loved to purchase what I wanted today, but hated all the mess...

When I got home I thought I dropped my 131 brush somewhere, but the lady forgot to put in my bag (I called them already, and am going to pick it up tomorrow).

How does Golden compare to Refined Golden? I've been using RG but it's a tad too dark for me so maybe Golden would be better for me?

My list just keeps growing! It's ok... this will be my last collection I buy from until the fall collections come out

I got to the store at about 6:30 PM (my appointment was for 7:30 PM) to ask how many Marine Life did they get (I felt so silly, but didn't want to miss it), and the lady said it was not going to be sold out but, in case it did, they were gonna get some more in the weekend. She also said that when there are release parties, they get twice as many products. Hopefully you'll be able to get you one soon.
