MAC - To The Beach Discussion

3 of my 4 orders have shipped. Yay. I know that sounds like a lot, but I bought one lippie...then realized I forgot the eye khol...etc. LOL

I think my fav look so far will be temperature rising, with beachbound or thrills and FoF. I'll have to do my first FOTD once I get all my TTB goodies.

wasn't that the crappy one with no pigmentation? I didn't get any of the eyeshadows, I am more about permanent shadows.

yes i too am pleased for a june break! in the uk we get opulash (which i already have) and superglass -which i dislike!

although i wasn't ott about this collection... i only got two items because i already have alot of the colours.... otherwise i'd be in trouble!

Off topic but I thought I'd post in here because some of you know I have been unemployed for the last year and 2 weeks now. I just got a call from Fedex that I FINALLY after a lot of waiting and being put off for 3 months now got a job with them. I will be a courier which is something I really am afraid of doing and don't want to do it the rest of my life but it pays great and no lay offs!! I have to go go get a physical tomorrow and drug tests and then they hire people on the 14th and we start training July 12 or so. That will put me right at the point my current benefits run out and I shouldnt have to file another extension!!

I still am leery that something will come up and I wont get hired or some crazy thing because I've had such bad luck but I think it will be ok

I am so happy for you! That must be a HUGE relief! My birthday is July 12 - a great day to start a new job! I wish you much luck and happiness in your new position

kinda. Well, it didn't have good color payoff when swatched on the back of the hand, but when it's on the lid - beautiful. Especially in the crease.

FedEx is a great company to work for. My husband has worked there for 11 years.

Thanks Audrey!! Yes it's a huge relief!! I have been trying to get this job at FedEx since January because my b/f works there I knew about jobs coming up soon. I went to the jobfair back in February then had my interview in March......just a long drawn out affair. I had to apply for a new claim on my UE just two weeks ago and got approved for another 12 that would take me into July. I'd gone on maybe 10 interviews and got turned down for every single one including just a week ago

. Most employers are telling me they get 100-200 applicants for each job!!

. Im nervous as anything though because I'm afraid I'll fail at doing the job. I guess with the last place I worked being so messed up with backstabbers and illegal stuff going on I get afraid.

Well my MA is like the bestest he managed to snag a ML so I go in and pick it up Friday!

I also got Sweet and Punchy too since I forgot to get that the first time round.

Congrats Flaminbird! I can understand being afraid when you start a new job. I think I would worry more if I was not afraid!

Anyway, I hope this works out well for you until you are able to find something you would really love to do!

I think given the amount of sell outs in this collection already, MAC underproduced this collection bigtime. My counter manager told me that compared to this time last year, they receive half of the stock that they used to, and they get even less of collections in special packaging.

I am so surprised by the stuff that has sold out already (other than ML) because there are other items that seem to be MUCH more popular here. I ever would have predicted that S&S would be the first e/s to sell out.

Good luck girl! I had been unemployed since last July and I just recently got a job again. You can do it! Have faith!

Congrats on your new job!!! I know how you feel my s/o got fired over 7-8 months ago and the gay part is that he couldn't collect unemployment from them because he got 'fired' for having his gun stolen out of his car when he was at work. So not only is his $500 .45 gone but he lost his job over it too. Yet some people that he knew had firearms in their vehicles at work still work there...

That must be it. We consistently heard what low quantities all the stores received - underproduced it was. I thought Firecracker & Flurry of Fun would have sold out before Sand & Sun.

I didn't even want ML, i got an invite to go to the launch party a few weeks ago but i was busy so i skipped. When i found out ML was sold out within a few hours i bought it this morning when it got restocked......... i'm weird i know
