I love In the Buff! I don't care what it looks like

I went to the mall earlier and picked up Sand & Sun and Firecracker... Kind of regretting Sand & Sun, though. I bought it on a quick whim b/c I wanted to get out of there.

Stopped by my local Mac counter today and was really happy to see one of my fave MA's is back as the manager. Picked up alot from this collection. All the e/s except humid and firecracker, 3 of the lippies, all of the glosses. Skipped the blushes, Hipness was very similar to Instant Chic which I have. I swatched them and then looked it the daylight, I almost couldn't tell the difference on my face I'm sure they would be identical.

I think alot from this collection, especially the lipsticks, will work w/Style Warrior (love that collection) from last year.

They were out of ML. I swatched the tester and don't see what all the fuss is about, it was pretty to look at but not really unique.

. So if anyone gets ML just to stare at, I completely understand.

Yes, I am one of the many people who bought two of ML just so I can stare at one.
Oddly enough, I still haven't gotten beyond the overspray. It's kinda awesome, but I really want to get to the actual powder. Maybe I need a heavier hand, but I don't want my seahorse to disappear.

I am going to buy Beachbound lipstick tomorrow. I was thinking about a FoF backup but I have kinda talked myself out of it.
Also, for anyone interested, Mufe has shadows that fit in awesomely with this collection and it falls in line with Sand & Sun. So I guess those of you disappointed with the pigmentation of S&S may want to check out #'s 5 and 25. Just sayin'.

surprisingly, thrills is pretty moisturizing considering it's a frost. after i had took my lipglass off with a tissue, and applied thrills affterwards (with no chapstick or anything) i don't feel a dryness or peeling on my lips.

I ordered:
Marine Life, Lazy Day, Splashing, To the Beach Bronze Body Oil, and Hipness blush.

I was wondering if "Lazy day" is similar to "Nude Rose" from DSquared collection? I never got to get that, and someone on youtube said it was.

Also I am NC20, and am thinking about one of the cream bronzers...Should I go with the lighter one? Someone said they are both really sheer. Oh, and are the cream bronzers worth it?

No. If you go back a couple of pages, I did a whole comparison post.

EDIT: here: Nude Rose is more on the peach side of pink compared to Lazy Day.

Its like if Fun Fun (coveted pink lippie) & Nude Rose had a soft little baby

Who has managed to B2M for this collection? The mac store at the Eaton Centre wouldn't let me, but it was very fishy. The girl I asked said she had to check, then she asked another girl, who said it's totally fine. Then she went in the back, and came back and told me no. I asked why, when the other girl said it was fine, and she said her manager said no. I don't believe her.

So I headed over to The Bay, and after a few minutes on the phone with someone the girl let me get a l/s, but she said something weird, like she can do it now, but if I come back another time I may not be able to. I didn't really get it, but I left with Lazy Day.

I originally wanted to get Splashing, so I will probably the the Mac store again tomorrow with a different MA. When LoL was out, I asked and they said no, not for that collection because it's partnered, but usually LE packaging is ok.

Ugh, I hate how they are so inconsistent.

Hi Ladies, so I got my order, boy do I think the packaging is HIDEOUS!

Anyway, onto the products:
- LOVE lazy day lipstick, perfect soft cool toned pink. I am a sucker for pinks though. It is a prettier softer version of Angel to me.
- LOVE Get-a-way bronze blush, its a nice rose gold tone. Similar to otherworldly but less golden and more rose gold.
- Firecracker e/s is really nice, very pigmented, nice formula and going to be gorgeous with a tan or on darker skin tones.
- HATING the Beach Bronze Cream bronzer. It is a freaking glitterbomb! I will see if I can make it work...

Anyone else having glitter issues?

Also, I saw Marine Life in my local store...not feeling it. I dont get the draw to this one!

xx

Just picked up my package from the front desk. To all the Canadian ladies out there wondering, I ordered ML on Tuesday around 10:30AM and received it. My shipping address is around the Eaton Centre. It usually takes 2-3 days to get my package... this time was no different.

There were WAY too many pages to catch up on so I just skipped to the end of the thread haha i'm loving all this talk about Lazy day. It's such a great everyday pink. My favourite purchases are those that I actually use on a regular basis, and I can definitely see myself using this

Back up worthy in my book (I knew I should've ordered 2)! Slowly falling in love with lustres...

I played today with the new collection. Only came home with Firecracker and Splashing l/g. Did swatch the lipglasses-I am more of a color girl than a glitter across my lips girl. So passed on the other two. Hipness is a nice color for summer, but am not into mattes. If you are, its a great product to pick up. My MA thought I'd take home ML but, honestly, I never jumped for this collection like Forecast in Februrary. Hoping the fall collection will do wonderful things!
I noticed that Pink Rebel has gotten an early start at my counter. And RG bronzer too.

Maya (Zoya) is a bit lighter than Scorcher and their is a tad more coral in it as well, but if anyone is budgeting Scorcher is passable.

And, its not like Gaga - gaga is waay brighter, its not like Pretty Please. It really isn't like any of the other pinks. colors vary on different pigmented lips. I did these on the back of my hand.

And, Lazy Day is sooo soft & creamy buttery ...yumm

Yep, order submitted.

I can't wait to get my stuff!! I finally got the shipping confirmation and I get most of it tomorrow.

The second order was rescheduled...

Okay, I'm almost definitely getting Easy Lounger now. Possibly Thrills, too. And maybe Rosemary and Thyme (in the pretty packaging - why not?)

I did a quick look with Amber Lights on the inner 2/3 of the lid, Firecracker in the outer 1/3 and blended into the crease, and Float on By on the lower waterline (and cheap Wet 'n Wild black liner on the upper lashline
lol.gif
). I.LOVE.Firecracker. It's like a baby from a Paradisco+Passionate+Cranberry threesome, and doesn't have any of the problems I have with those shadows (great color payoff, easy to blend, not TOO bright).

Five hours later and FoB has almost completely disappeared from my waterline, but it didn't smudge or migrate - just disappeared.
shrugs.gif
I'm not surprised though; liners NEVER stay put on my waterline.

Tomorrow will be a Sweet & Punchy look.
th_DANCE.gif
But should I pair it with Firecracker or Humid? Decisions, decisions...

Interesting... I was just at MAC at the Bay on Granville this morning (May 27, around 10:45am) and she told me she had 2 ML left. I wonder how those 2 became available? Hmmm

So i come home and check my phone messages and found out that my order had to be cancelled because ML was sold out, the girl was super sweet and they will still send out my free zoom lash sample lulz ...

And the thing is i was actually about to leave the mac store and just rely on my online order .. thankk god i didn't do that.

I'm starting to dislike this collection.

First, I bought what I wanted at the unveiling party; then, I HAD to go for a Fun Bathing backup; then I got Hipness (backup) and Refined Golden bronzer (because of the cute packaging, I know it is permanent)... And now I'm wondering if I should get a backup for Lazy Day. I was even thinking of Splashing too but I'm not big on lip glosses. Oh no...
