Ladies, I'm so sad! Marine life is breaking me out?!?
It makes my cheeks itch and slightly burn.
I've contacted those who were interested in my backups.
I plan on keeping the one I've started using in hopes that I can try it out again in a few weeks just to make sure its the culprit. I'm sure it is since I don't wear foundation and its the only thing I've changed in my routine.

Has anyone else experienced any issues? I know a few other MAC cheek products have itched me a bit but nothing this bad.

Only mineralized products and most foundations by Mac irritate me. Maybe you need to get past the overspray? All that shimmer may be breaking you out if it's still on your powder.

So I picked up a back up of Lazy Day today, along with Thrills and Club e/s (finally!). This is the first collection where i've gone back after my first round of goodies
blink.gif
Initially I thought this collection was a flop... only interested in the Lustre Drops, maybe Temperature Rising... didn't understand the hype over ML. I'm scared for In the Groove

I tried on the Thrills I got for my mom... sigh I think i'm going to have to get one for myself. Great for the warm blondes out there

I've gotten past the over spray I took it off immediately after getting it. Mineralize products from Mac sometimes irrate me, esp those with excessive shimmer, certain MSF etc. And even products with glitter sometimes irritate me.

I'm just connecting the dots now! I guess I need to look for another coral blush with minimal/no shimmer for the summer, I feel like I'm mourning.

Any recs? Does anyone like fleur power. I doesn't need to be a dupe just something in the same color family.

Putting them in too cold of a temperature is not great for them either, it speeds up condensation. Just at room temperature for a couple of hours.

Thanks!
Stay cool!

I wore float on by today to work. I think its a good test because I run everywhere. So even being really warm and sweating, it stayed in place. I got so many comliments. One lady, who is anti-Mac more of a urban decay, was like oh you got a new UD liner and I laughed and was like your not going to like this but Mac
smiles.gif
I also brought in my marine life and all the woman there were like are you sure its sold out everywhere online? What about the stores? Okay im going to call tomorrow. hahah Mac is a powerful thing

Im going to send back my bag I got. The bag is so cute if you have places near you where you can carry around totes but I dont live in one of those places. I think i'll use that money for a shimmerbrick.

Pure Colore Long Lasting Lipstick in Suger Honey is a good dupe for MAC thrills Lipstick. If anyone have it I recommend to go and check that one.

Try Gina or Gilda by Nars or if you want to try a cream blush, Mufe HD blush in #12.

Sun Rush lustre drops is very sheer on me. It's hardly visible
ssad.gif

I think I need Bronze Hero!! I need to add it in my Wish List thread....
MAC should put lustre drops into their permanent products...

yeah sun rush is actually pretty sheer on me and i'm pretty pale! i tend to layer it on but you have to be careful it doesn't look cakey. lustre drops just aren't an amazing product to me so i barely use them anyways

Ok, so I am mad because I never got any advance notice of this, and I was at my mac counter yesterday and they had ONE ML left when I got there, but did not get it because I had thought my order went though (it had even shipped by the time I got to my mac counter).

A CANCELLATION EMAIL would have been appricicated. Now there is no way I am going to get that thing. Damnit!

There were WAY too many pages to catch up on so I just skipped to the end of the thread haha i'm loving all this talk about Lazy day. It's such a great everyday pink. My favourite purchases are those that I actually use on a regular basis, and I can definitely see myself using this

Back up worthy in my book (I knew I should've ordered 2)! Slowly falling in love with lustres...

I ordered from the mac canada website on tuesday at 12pm. ML was restocked on the site on wednesday too. it doesn't make sense! did anyone else get this email? i'm so mad! >=(

I am seriously so angry with how this all happened. I also ordered from mac.ca. I called MAC friday morning about my order and was told that ML was removed because it is sold out. However, even though the rest of my order is pretty much still pending, they said they will hold my order. So are my items reserved so that I'm safe if anything else sells out? That's what it sounded like. And if so, why in the hell was ML removed? I ordered even earlier than the times given above (apprx 8:30am EST*), yet it didn't even sell out for a few hours from it's release. It makes no sense to me.

When it restocked on the site, I even considered getting one for myself! But forget it, this whole situation has upset me. Oh, and if it was restocked after I made my order, how is there none available for me - one of the earliest orders?

I guess MAC cares about guaranteed payments instead and gave the orders to those first!* Seriously making me upset. I know it's makeup, but I'm actually upset about how it was handled. Like my above statement*, I feel like I was put on the "less important" list.

Temptalia did a post where she compared ML to a lot of blushes. While she didn't find an exact dupe, there are some nice alternatives to check out here: MAC Marine Life Dupes — Sorry, Keep Looking

This whole situation is horrible... I feel bad for all the people who actually wanted one to wear, but other people bought them to sell them for 3x the price.

i hope you enjoy it!! i think the temp. rising l/l with some gloss over it and a super neutral eye with lots of (waterproof) mascara will be my go-to look for summer.

Not "some gloss", but Flurry of Fun!

In that case I totally agree.
