I'm on vacation at the moment so can't go to a store or counter so I asked a friend to get ML for me, but she didn't understand the urgency of the matter
shockt.gif
and it was sold out when she got to the store.

I pm'd one of the lovely ladies on here who got backups so people like me could still get their hands on ML without paying insane ebay prices and she sent it to me this morning, so it'll be waiting for me when I get home on Friday

together with FoF which got off mac.com. I'm so excited!

So this is to give a big shout-out to the lovely Marusia, thank you sooo much for doing this, I really appreciate it, and of course to everyone else who is doing the same thing to help out other Specktrettes

*blushes* aww, thanks. Yeah, I threw in the free mascara sample too. LOL I wrapped it in that foam and a bunch of tissue paper, and put it in a soapbox type package so it would be safe.

Don't laugh at the "ghetto" packaging once you get it.

I really, really like Fleur Power. I think it is a bit more pink than coral, but it really is a great color (I'm NW 20). But, my personal favorite coral blush is NARS Torrid. It's a super pretty coral with the prettiest, not over-the-top shimmer. Torrid has become my go-to blush lately. Just the right amount of color and it really wakes up my complexion.

oh wow...this is a tough one!!! I bought two FoF and one easy lounger, so I am not much help!
cutey.gif
FoF is definitely more unique with the flash of teal, but they both have a gorgeous sparkle and a really great texture. I do think EL looks better over pink lipsticks, if you're a pink lip girl. But it is probably more dupable with other glosses and dazzleglasses. I haven't seen anything like FoF though.....let us know what you decide!

Its too pale to look pink & too pink to be a nude, so its just kinda meh on me. But its light enough that I can throw a gloss over it & its a good base. (positive spin lol)

I had the same experience with Lazy Day. But I will make it work with a darker pink lipliner and a pretty gloss. I'm keeping it, even though I probably won't be rocking it on it's own.

Marusia is saving my butt too. Everyone who is selling these at cost should really be commended for helping those of us out who genuinely missed out.
The MA's at my counter were so cute, they didn't really understand what the hype was...the two that were there when I went in on Thursday we're both saying that MAC makes better highlight powders and better blushes so they didn't understand the fuss over this product.
I still want it though. - I just hope it is a pretty wearable color. I didn't particularly care for Hipness on me, so I hope this does shows up differently on me than Hipness.

April, I just reread and noticed that you asked WHY I like Easy Lounger....

As you know, I am a pale pink lippie lover (say that 5 times fast!!
lol.gif
) and Easy Lounger is right up my alley. It may not be overly special, but it is a gloss that I will get lots of use out of. The silver shimmers are just beautiful, especially when the sun hits them. For me, it is just one of those lip products that makes me feel pretty. As far as Flurry of Fun, I got that one, and love that one too, but personally, it's not necessary for me to get a backup. While it is TOTALLY gorgeous and unique, it's just not something I will wear everyday and could never finish up. Teal sparkles aren't always appropriate, and on me, they are pretty obvious. I am so glad that I have it, and it is one of my favorites of all that I got, but I just don't need 2. Now, Easy Lounger, that's a totally different story.

i gotta stop reading this thread! i had a crazy dream i bought marine life! it was from a lord and taylor and to my knowledge, they do not even sell mac?!? i never saw one there, i usually go to macys, franklin mills cco or a mac store (or online because i always spend over $50)
but anyway the lady working there was the woman jill from real housewives of nyc lol. and she was so mean to me but i got it in the end.
weird, right? i did not even want it, i am scared it will be too bright and my checks are not just naturally rosey but also chubby so i do not like bright blush.. (my real lemming was hipness).
crazy dream, right? lol like i said, i read this thread way too much

and thats why I'm keeping a way from this group.. I hate that since i love wearing those colores
th_dunno.gif

Well I'm glad to know someone else has the same reactions as me. Have you been able to figure out what ingredient it is that causes it? I had many issues with Aromaleigh's and she told me all the ingredients of the ones that gave me problems yet some of those same ingredients were in other e/s that didnt cause me issues so I'm thinking that it either is the combo of certain things OR the amount of an ingredient. I wear contacts so it's even more bothersome. Right now I just have some blurriness and need to clean them again and then usually I'm ok the rest of the day. What is odd is I dont get this redness till the day after and sometimes have the mucous start in the corners by evening time but never during the day while I'm wearing that e/s. How about you? It always clears itself up by the end of the next day.

My final haul:

ML x2
Thrills LS
Lazy Day LS
FoF LG
Easy Lounger LG
Float on By (Yes I caved!)
Temperature Rising LL
Life's A Breeze LL
All the eyeshadows except Sand & Sun (It barely showed up and was chalky)

I skipped the powder bronzers, although the cream bronzers were nice, but Beach Bronze was quite sheer. My MA had it on, and she is NC15 and she said it showed no color, just gave her a nice shimmer. I tried Weekend, which is a bit darker/warmer, and it was nice, and had a cream to powder finish, however I just don't see myself reaching for it very often.

Lustre Drops...hmm not sure on these...do any of you use them regularly?

I'm still thinking about Funbathing and Beachbound...I might have to go back for them!

Oh, and I had makeup done, and it turned out really nice! She did a look with Sweet & Punchy on the inner lid, a bit of Firecracker on the middle lid, and Humid in the crease-with Float on By liner. Very pretty! She used ML on my cheeks, and Lazy Day with Easy Lounger on my lips.

Oh, and I've been using Studio Fix in NC25-30 (30 if I'm tan) FOREVER...been color matched on several occasions and was always told I was NC. So she insisted that I try NW...and she used it on me and I loved it!!! She said that the NW is not too "pink" but it is more neutral, and will help tone down the yellow/olive tones in my skin. She was right! I looked, dare I say it, radiant!! Or maybe it was just all the excitement over the collection!!

I never got around to cancelling my launch party appointment, so I guess that means I'm going to my freestanding now... which is fine, because I want to try Beachbound and Thrills again, I want to try Temperature Rising, I want to try Sand and Sun on my lid instead of just swatched on my hand with my finger, and I want to buy Easy Lounger and Shimmermoss (pan).

(and maybe get backups of Lazy Day and FoF, sigh...)

As much as I love all the products I got, I don't need backups of any of them. I am really excited about them now so it may feel like I need a back-up but I know there will always be new pink lipsticks, glosses, blushes etc. that I will love so it's unnecessary.

Geez! That really sucks. The worst thing I have happen to me is my eyes burn a little when I wear mascara...any mascara...brand new mascara. I think it's because I'm anal about getting it at the root? I'm not sure.
ssad.gif

It doesn't stop me from wearing it though. LOL Hey, sometimes beauty is pain.

Cystic acne though? I couldn't imagine. It would break my heart if I had physical reactions from makeup.

I'm with Lou - I picked two of these up during Style Warriors and hardly ever use them. I prefer to add any shimmer on with a MSF or BB Shimmerbrick...less mess - - and my skin is oily, so I don't really like just adding it to foundation.

Random, but it's snowing here in Central Alberta
ssad.gif
... I even live at the beach and I'm not feeling so beachy today. My TTB order is supposed to come Monday/Tuesday so hopefully that will cheer me up.

I feel like doing some MAC online shopping to cheer myself up, pick up some permanent items that would go well with my TTB stuff.

Care to trade your snow for my warm weather? It's too warm here in Nova Scotia for my liking.

Im sure its been said already but...
Rated R is an exact dupe for Sweet and Punchy
Minted is a better pigmented dupe for Float on By
I went back to my FS MAC in aventura armed with a palette and pencil swatches on my left hand. The MUAs had a giggle but agreed that it doesn't make sense to keep buying the same colors over and over again.

That's what I keep telling myself too, to stop myself from buying backups!
