Cajun would be a finishing powder on someone with your colour skin with teeney weeney micro sheen..

I feel like I should get Truth and Light then. I just don't know now.

I'm thinking both of the cooling powders will come in handy. We'll see.

I use Ben Nye's translucent setting powder and love it

. I didn't like the banana powder though, might be my complexion but made me look a lil sick, I must be too "neutral toned" to pull off the yellow toned stuff, lol!

I'm still intrigued about the light cooling powder. I'll get it and if I don't end up liking it, I can always give it to my mom.

yep yep... BR works for skins levels 0-3, I would think.. and after that it might look chalky... the T&L looks like a very soft golden glow on darker skin similar to a NARS Albatross but not as concentrated (it is a very complex powder to describe

Well, that clears things up. I'll get Cajun. I already have a highlighter that I am more than happy with.

Not sure if this has been asked already, but I got invited to the unveiling party for this, what can I expect ?

Nothing but awesomeness. In my case that means people dressed up as each villain, a crowded hot mess of people and being able to walk away with what I want. I'm open to any and all surprises Mac has up it's sleeve, though.

thanks for the info. Since this is a popular collection, I'll need a plan.
I am going to swatch Truth and Light first thing after I have them pull my must haves.

I am thinking the same thing. I'm trying to keep my collection haul under $100.00. My interest in this powder is not helping. Yes on the Ben Nye. The MAC concealer I am trying to use up and get rid of comes up a bit orange/red on me. This powder keeps my final look it more on the yellow side. Is there a Ben Nye thread here?

Yeah, I need to just freaking choose 1.

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I started a thread about the Ben Nye powder in the WOC section. Feel free to start fresh.

I think I'm going to have them pull what I want first thing and then scratch things off as needed. I didn't have to do that with Make Up Arts last year, but this is a different ball game.

My list: Strange Potion, Toxic Tale, Cajun Cooling Powder and Vile Violet.

^I think I'll be doing the same when I go to my counter: give the MA my list and eliminate things as I go. Security.

Ugh... I'm so afraid this is going to be worse than the Stereo Rose fiasco. Seriously, I'm scared that I wont get what I want in time, because of all the hype.

I'm so mad at MAC for doing this to us. Urgh!

I know! I'm freaking, too, even though I already reserved some stuff and I'm going right when it opens on the 30th.

I gotta say....I'm not impressed. I LOVED disney as a kid, but this just seems boring to me. Of course, I have to see things for myself and play with them. But I'm pretty disappointed

I kind of want sweet joy since I loved it in the warm palette but got rid of it...but do I need ANOTHER gloden toned highlight

Well I stopped by my local MAC store and talked to one of the MUA about the VV collection.

I told her I was only picking up several things from the collection and she laughed.

She told me once I saw all of the goodies I would want to buy more.

I said we'll see!

I wonder how much shipment the stores are getting. Especially the ones having preview parties. I hope there is enough to go around.
