so who's afraid that Darkly my Dear will look like dirt on their face but still want it?? I'm NC/NW 25, I'm more neutral so N3? This is why it's impossible to buy blushes online, have to try it out in person!

I think I might go crazy and buy almost the whole damn collection (excluding MES and nai
l lacquers).

Also, am I crazy for not owning Melon pigment?

See. stuff keeps creeping up on ya. once in a lifetime. that's how i am feeling now.

I called my store to check on the event and the MUA said they gave out times so they can control the amount of people in the store at once. Kind of like a timed ticket entrance to a museum entrance. she told me 34 people will be there at 7. go in with you lists at your times. i know i don't have to say it, but get there on time too. i am just hoping they have enough product to go around.

I'm NW (possibly NC, since trying out a couple of foundations this weekend) 15 and I'm considering it. Yes, it might look like dirt, but Plum du Bois from CoC looks really nice on me... Gives my cheeks this nice autumnal glow and I keep thinking this blush could look the same. Weirdly, brownish tones, as long as there's a hint of plumminess about them, don't look wrong on my skin at all... Go figure.

Oh right! I forgot the old versions had different names! I saw the Vincent Price version a few years ago and loved it

I was just thinking that I should've asked the lady that called me how much of stock they have. Doesn't matter b/c I am ready to pounce! I'm going to write down what I want tonight and I've already got my invite in my bag. Just gonna charge my camera and throw that in there, too.

thanks! this is really helpful! I do like a pinky bronze look for summer and was thinking that this plummy brown would do the trick for fall! Definitely adding it on my list to swatch

NC20 here.. and the same applies to me.. darker blushes which are flat browns look miserable, but plummy or rose browns look .. err, interesting giving me piercing cheekbones and big pouty lips

I'm NC50 and I don't want this blush at all. I used to love dark vampy blushes but one thing is, I'd rather bring the drama with my lips. The next is I find that lighter/brighter blushes add a glow to my face. I've permanently ditched blushes in the same color family as DMD.

I have probably very similar skintone to you (I wear NW25 but it's slightly too peachy, I'm neutral). I agree with the other girls, as long as the darker shades have dimensions, you can wear them without them looking like dirt. I have Plum du Bois from CoC and X-Rocks from Neo Sci Fi and they both looks gorgeous on despite looking scary in the pan

No problem! I love them both.

Looking at the video I posted, I'll just get Resort Life. Yeah, I'd rather have the Chanel glossimer, but it's not available at my local mall yet and I'll be right there at Mac. I hope it doesn't leave a mess on my face when I try to remove it.

I still feel like Facilier got the short end of the stick with his colors. Repromotes that they try to make up for with the cooling powders.

Ok so I am making my list, but I'm on the fence about two things..... do you all think Toxic Tale would be too much for porcelain skin? Like almost albino skin, my skin is much lighter than any MAC foundations, can I pull it off ?? Also if I have Young Punk should I still get My Dark Magic MES? How similar are they?

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I got a couple of high end magazines in the mail today & the look is barely blushed cheekbones & red lips & some brighter pink coral lips like Toxic Tales
yes.gif
It looks gorgeous with falls charcoal greys

A lot of you have asked/concerned about wearing those colors. 2 options - 1)Go for it & step outside your usual makeup box. 2) Sheer out the red or coral lippie by just patting it onto your bottom lip with your finger & smooshing your lips together. That way, you can have the color without it being over the top. Add more as you get used to it.

I say be in style & - GO for it!

While I don't know about the finish in person, but rather only what HerGreyness told us, colour-wise I personally like BI better. They both provide a pale purple colour if that's what you need in a look, but BI is a bit more purple, which is what makes me choose BI.
