Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

Ok this is a first I am really shy/ no esteem and don't like taking pics of myself not to mention I am not really good at makeup yet but this is the look I did when I went to the preview last night I channeled my inner villain

I know off topic sorry:
I don't foresee myself posting anymore pics of myself in the future any suggestions on what other blush would look good on me? I only own one- the BoA I bought last night.

^ Agree! You look lovely and your make-up technique seems very good.

As far as a blush, I think a cool pink or a plum colour would actually look quite nice on you- something like Dame (blue pink) or Dirty Plum (I think that one is PRO only).

i think you look great!
smiles.gif
and don't underestimate your make up skills. the purple eyes are lovely
smiles.gif
and as for a blush perhaps breath of plum, dollymix or plum foolery would be good

all are perm as far as i know

thanks for the swatches! I was hoping that Innocence, beware was close to nude rose, but it's a lot lighter and less pink. Crossed off my list!

Can anyone offer some insight into Oh So Fair? I really want to get this but am unsure about the pigmentation. Who has tried/swatched it? I am NW15/20!

you should definitely post more pics hun! you look lovely!

i'm not sure about blushes with your skin tone, you seem to have a warmer skin tone than mine? but maybe more blushes in the peach family?
utterly game mineralize blush that came out with felines?
or springsheen blush or peachy keen?

I don't post a lot of pictures of myself either but today I'm wearing Toxic Tale & BoA blush. Toxic Tale is crraaaaazzzy bright. Brighter than I thought it would be. Different though, so I like it. I think.

Ahhh LittleMaryJane you just made me want BoA again! I was set on Oh So Fair but now I'm not sure again... we have the same skin tone, did you happen to swatch OSF?

Been seeing this question a lot. I'm an NC 15/20 and I compared Oh So Fair and Briar Rose TWICE, one on each cheek. Here's my verdict:

OSF - The name says it all. It is indeed very fair and sheer. Lovely if you're pale and going for a natural look, but if you already have a light, pink, girly blush, then you probably don't need this. I wear Hang Loose for that look (and love it!). So as nice and natural as it looked on me, I don't feel like I need it.

BR - This one is much more cool toned and pigmented, which could look lovely on cool-toned or darker skin. Come to think of it...part of me wonders why I'm even getting it. Probably because I don't own a blue-toned blush. It can be a bit more difficult to wear on fair skin, so you have to match it with the right complimentary makeup...which I'm terrible at doing...oh no! What have I done?!?! Maybe I should switch it for OSF after all! AAAAHHH!!!!

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

Thanks again to all of you who did swatches and reports from the events. You rock!

I didn't go to an event but I did have an opportunity to see the collection on Sunday. I may go down in flames for this but I did not like the packaging. There are some wonderful products in this collection and I truly do feel it has something for everyone.

My list didn't change much but I did add a couple of things that surprised me.

TT and BoA: These truly can be worn by everyone. I never would have imagined myself in either of these but with the right application, they were gorgeous. For reference I am NW15/N2 and I rocked it. But I also saw WOC rocking these same shades.

MCP: This wasn't even on my radar but it is amazing. I won't review it because I feel there have been several good reviews here already. If you are the least bit curious about it, try it on. I hope they make these perm.

The cheat sheet is a funny thing. I think it's cool and great for people who were/are confused about what to get or what to rush to first. However, it is a matter of opinion. She loved Bad Fairy and Melon and I did not. She thought Wicked Ways was a must and I did not. I think it depends on what you already have and what colors really drive you crazy. I don't think she picked anything that was a "pass" though. I'm glad she left of BOA. Yes, it's pretty but it's not a must for someone like me who has several coral blushes that all show up wonderfully.

I'm glad you love RIS and Bite of an Apple. You know, these things are there to appeal to different people and we all need different things to make our collections complete. If no other coral blush showed up on you, I'm glad you have Apple now b/c coral blushes are the business!

Aww!

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I could not go to an event, I travel too much, but I am watching this thread closely. I do believe I am sticking with the two MES & passing on everything else. I talked myself out of pigment & SB GPS backups. I kind of wish there was more I wanted, as I feel silly waiting up all night for 2 items, but it's either that or pay the ludicrous eBay prices. Oh well, more money for The new TT pigs and a few backups of those. I guess I have just gotten to the point where I have so much I really need to know I will use it to get it.

BoA looks like it'd be too orange on me. Other than a little pop of orange in with other eyeshadows, any makeup that is orange or peach or coral just looks horrid on me. No orangey blush or lipstick for me ever, no matter how much I may like it. :-(

Re: MAC - Venomous Villains discussion

I went to the unveiling party yesterday and they gave me a wrong lipglass (which I exchanged today).
ssad.gif
But when I looked at the receipt the MA (of today) wrote that the reason I was exchanging is "Customer changed mind". Ok, I didn't change my mind, they gave me the wrong one and I only realized it at home!
