Good call in choosing the polish over RIS. (I really have it in for that gloss

Shontay, I don't think you look like a hot mess!

Your lip swatch is what convinced me.

TT is a Satin.
CP is an Amplified.

Though Coral Polyp works for me, perhaps you have something there.

I say I have it in for RIS b/c it seems like I'm always knocking it. I think it started when people began comparing it to Sweet Strawberry (one of my true loves). Then, at the preview, I really wasn't digging the texture or sheerness. I, personally need my glosses to work (and have color payoff) on their own because I rarely do lipstick/gloss combos. Having said that, I am glad some women are loving it. Someone has to, right?

Layla, a special kiss for you sweetie

. I hope you love, TT.

Listen, my make up is like an extension of me. I love all of my products with crazy passion (much like everything else in my life). There's plenty of things I don't like or even the look of it on someone else, but I try to word it in a way that makes it obvious I mean the product and not the way it makes the person look. A common courtesy, I think. However, people are free to disagree about that, too aren't they?

That is so weird to me because before this collection came out, my one hesitation about TT is that it was a Satin (a finish I usually have trouble with). I've never had problems with Amplifieds even though it's not my favorite. CP was a flippin' nightmare for me. I remember I put it on, thought it looked ok enough, went to Dunkin' Donouts and this kid looked at me mad funny. I looked in the mirror, guuuurl...

Noooo! I'm probably the only one who's not happy about this but Jazzed looked horrible on me and I was really excited about Strange Potion!

Yeah 'cause kids know their makeup...

Dude I wouldn't let others dissuade you especially if they don't have the same passion.

I don't wear my lipsticks that often either but I wear them.

Go For It, Violetta, Kanga-Rouge, Faultlessly F/W, Riveting, and Electro were too much for others but not for me. And and coincidently none of these people would have known what to do with makeup because they didn't really use it.

I agree. I love all the colors you mentioned. If I let people dissuade me, I wouldn't wear TT, but that's not happening! CP did look terrible on me. It was insane. Settled into every line in my lip, clashed with my skin, just a wreck. It's funny that I've seen it work on people much lighter and darker than me.

I wore Marine Life, Red Full Stop, Temperature Rising and Revlon Coral Reef. The MAC artists thought I had on Bite of Apple and Toxic Tale. Hope this helps you, if you are debating or trying to narrow down your list!

I just had a moment of "Well maybe I should nix Devilishly Stylish. I do have a lot of lipglasses and I'm the least excited for that of all my picks."

But immediately after that, I had another moment of, "But I don't have any sparkly nude lipglass. Well then it's justified!"

Yeah, that whole process took all of three minutes.

Yeah, I use it as a highlight. Temples, down the nose, chin and cheekbones.
yes.gif

I just do one, connecting sweeping motion between the temple and cheek. It's awesome.

I've noticed there's been a coral lippie each fall/winter.
2008 Coral Polyp

I don't think you should worry. Try it, still. SP is easier to make work. Plus, if you still have Jazzed, pairing it with SP will probably make it easier to wear.

As it should be. I love dark, vampy lips, but a bright lip (whatever color) is always hot for fall/winter. It makes me happy.

Oh and to clarify, the kid at dunkin' donuts giving me side-eye was behind the counter. Therefore, he wasn't technically a kid, but since I'm old, I can call him kid.
