I never thought about nail germs, but you've got a point there. It's been proven that make up samples contain all kinds of funky things from women who don't wash their hands after using the restroom. That would go for nails also.

I preordered at my Macy's counter over here. The MA took my name, number, and set all my items aside in a bag for pick up on the 30th. She didn't ask to swipe my card. I was told that as long as I show up on the 30th and pick my order up by noon, I should be ok. Anything that's not picked up by then would either be sold or put back out. She did say that if I'm not able to make it, someone else could pick it up for me. I'm going to assume that it varies from counter to counter, so you might want to double check with yours, especially since they swiped your card. I hope it works out and you get what you want!

On a sidenote: kudos to the lovely MA Helen for having my picks wrapped up all nice and pretty...and super-stapling the bag shut! I went by the counter to double check on my preorder and am crazy excited now that it's all set. Helen offered me a little peek at the packaging since the testers I previously saw didn't have theirs. I've got to say, I almost don't want to remove anything from its packaging! The sketches are absoultely amazing! I'm already picturing myself getting to work right after I pick it up. I'm just going to be sitting there, staring at everything and sighing, ahhh it's all mine!

Yep, those are definitely the Canadian prices. The pro store I went to for my haul had that price list on the display, but that isn't what I was charged when the items were scanned!

I've actually seen that a few times at my regular freestanding store, too -- the Canadian prices on the display instead of the U.S. ones. It took me by surprise the first time it happened!

Actually, I have to say that this has opened my eyes up about MAC a bit. This is the second launch in a month to have the exact same products are new products from another brand (the Superslick Liquid eyeliners would be the other). While I'm fairly sure MAC develops its own product, it seems it doesn't develop all of its products in-house. The timing is just too coincidental -- these are all launching within weeks of each other, so it's definitely not a case of "copying." I think they're just the same products.

My mom wanted Bad Fairy, so I bought that for her. But I admit that I bought the ORLY versions of the other two polishes -- $3 less for more product? Heck, yeah.

Also, those wondering about Dark Deed -- I wore it a bit sheerly today because I was rocking a smokey "She Who Dares" eye. Don't be scared of it!

(I found this to be true with Violetta as well -- dabbed on with a lip brush, it was lovely but not as in-your-face as straight from the tube. Definitely more versatile than I thought when swatching it!)

The nail polish writeup on All Lacquered Up was enough to push me into lemming territory.

Everything else I'd have to see in person, but I've got those polishes on my must-have list now!

You know I haven't noticed if they have it available at my store or not. They might, but I always bring a little roll with me when I know I'll be swatching NP.

When I was checking out the To The Beach stuff I saw a girl painting her toe nails with the coral NP........tape is our friend!!!

I had to think about this a bit when I saw your question, because both are becoming fast favorites by many who have hauled already.

One deal breaker could be the glitter/shimmer factor.

Revenge is Sweet and has no glitter in it. At least nothing totally noticeable. That was a sell for me because I don't like much glitter if any at all in my lipglass/gloss. I also like the way it looks with my purple shadows. It brings the VV looks I have been creating together. I like the way it looks with my lip coloring, and it looks nice with my favorite new blush.

Strange Potion has some glitter in it. So I am not a fan. Colors this seem to run to bright for my liking. This color also reminds me of summer and the beach.

Both go with just about anything. All in all, I think its a matter of preference.

Is RIS pigmented enough to show on pigmented lips? It looks so bold in the tube but every time I see it swatched, the shade looks so sheer. Also, did you have any problems with RIS settling into your lip lines? Temptalia mentioned it and you can see the settling in her lip swatch. But - decisions, decisions...
Could any of you lovely ladies help me with following questions of possible dupes?

1. Is VV like Memorabilia from Pret a Papier?
2. Is RIS similar to either Funky Fusion or Hush, hush Rose?
3. I Strange Potion similar to Queen Bee?
4. Is TT similar to Made with love?

Whew...

My only definite at this point is BOA...

^^ The only one I can tell about is TT vs Made with Love... Made with Love is a much pinker, softer color on me with the tiniest bit of shimmer. TT is more like a super bright in your face coral with no shimmer. Very different.

UGH I need to pick up batteries for my camera today because it would be a lot easier just to do a swatch. I have TT on my upper lip right now and MWL on my bottom

I think it can show, but it won't be opaque by any stretch of the imagination. I haven't tried it on, but it seems to me that in every pic I see, it settles into lip lines.

VV is not like Memorabilia. Both are matte, but Memorabilia is like a dusty purple. Not vivid, just kinda muted. VV has a blue undertone to it.

RIS is sheerer than FF and definitely sheerer than HHR. Also, HHR has shimmer, but RIS does not.

SP is more of a coral and QB is more of a peachy gold. Definitely different. QB barely even showed on me.

I don't have MwL so I can't answer that question with certainty. I can only go by what I see and I don't think they are similar at all.

Thanks Shontay and LittleMaryJane (your pic made me want TT in the first place! You look stunning with that look!)! So I take it that VV is more vibrant than Memorabilia? (Besides being more blue?)
If MWL is more subtle than TT, no way I can pull off TT! MWL I can make work for me, but barely. *sadface*

If RIS sheerer than FF and HHR, I don't need it. Phew!

I think its fine. I am wearing it on my lips here: my top lip is brown, my bottom is deep pink. As far as my lip lines, I never really notice them. Lip Lines issues are never on my radar so I don't know. I do keep my lips well moisturized. Does that have anything to do with them showing or not? I don't know. I like the way RIS looks

I like the way RIS look on you too! Sure, it's not the boldest shade but I can def see a purplish pink tint on your lips. Very pretty! And BoaA looks so amazing on you too

A lot of maybes....

I will get the nail polishes and I already have French Quarter.

Maybes are:
- Her own devices (someone mentioned it can be used for contouring)
- Heartless (it's red)
- Wicked Ways (it's red with some pink in it)
- My Dark Magic
- Vile Violet
- BoaA (I am scared this is too pigmented for my poor skills)

I hope I can see the collection this week and then we'll see
